All About Jesus By TLC
by Teri H.
There are no perfect people, nor are there perfect churches, only a Perfect SAVIOR who suffered & died for you & me. I have been a Christian for 13 years & have had disappointments & hurts in both churches I have attended. One thing I realize through the word of God is that Eph 6:12 says, "For we do not wrestle against flesh & blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." You become a puppet in Satans hands when you speak negative words which bring division & death to the life of a believer. Do not allow the enemy to rob you of God's purpose & plan for your life. Pray for those who hurt you, for those you don't agree with. The Body of Christ needs to walk in Unity especially in the world we live today, so be filled with the Spirit & walk in Love & His Peace. I pray the Holy Spirit will illuminate the Word deep into your heart.
When the Holy Spirit recides within us, we become His House, His Church, His Vessel that illuminates the four walls of a building. As for Free Chapel, I am Thankful to God for my Pastor & all who faithfully serve & come to receive Jesus. We are all broken vessels (none are perfect) we all need a Savior who teaches us to to Love & walk in the Spirit of Truth.

Move on
by marlene s.
I have been going to Free Chapel for 5 years and love the church and Pastor Franklin. There is not one person on this earth that is perfect and would make any of you flock to just one church. So with so many churches to choose from go some place else and stop bad mouthing Pastor Franklin and staff. I do agree the parking is awful

Free Chapel Worship Ctr is not for me....
by B C.
I have never attended Free Chapel nor do I have any intention of doing so, reason being the pastor. I have had encountered this person a few times, all of which were very discouraging. He does not present himself as a selfless man of God, or should I say he didn't to me. I smiled and spoke each time I passed him, without so much as a smirk or a handshake from him. The sad thing is I have met several people who have had similiar experiences, some have even attended Free Chapel. Because of my personal "experiences" with Jentezen Franklin I know I would not be able to sit in a chapel and listen to him. I am so thankful that I am in a church where the pastor walks and talks what he preaches. He is the same on the street as he is in the church. I would like to think that when a pastor or anyone who proclaims to be a Christian is amongst their fellow man, instead of showing arrogance and superiority, they will show Christian love and kindness. You never know what the person you meet may be going through and you could be that person that introduces them to or renews their faith in God. For those who have had pleasant experiences at Free Chapel, I am truly happy for you, because in the end, it is all about your relationship with the Heavenly Father. Without Him, where would we be?

Love the Pastor but....
by Lynn C.
My husband and I attend Free Chapel. We feel as though Pastor Franklin is an anointed man of God. I can also say they're are many who attend that put on their 'Church" faces before going in. This is sad. I wear jeans and not dress suits I do feel some look down their noses at me, but hey get over it I say. I know some on the staff are not anointed at all, they put on their ''christian faces". We thought they were reaching out to us but come to find out it was business not being a true Christian. We continue to go and love the Pastor. We don't go if he isn't there anymore though. We love the Lord and can also worship at our home and not be looked down on.

Free Chapel Worship Is Gods House
by Chris C.
My wife and I have been a member for over 2 years. Some of the comments are trying get people to attend other churchs. That is sad. All the churchs should be working in unity to spread the word of Christ! Not having a competition trying to win over another churches members by cutting down another one of Gods houses. There are plenty of lost in the world you can help save. Use your energy to spread the word, not hurt it. Free Chapel is a Great Church where the Holy Spirit moves. God Bless all the churches! We love you Jesus!!!!

Not a Member Anymore
by Sibyl O.
I was a member at Free Chapel Gainesville for 16 years. I received lots of good teaching with the Holy Spirit flowing in services and volunteered all the time I was needed since I am retired. Sometimes members have no choice but leave. I left the church about a year ago. My daughter attended Free Chapel 14 years and left also. We now worship at 12Stone Hamilton Mill. Accountability is important every where especially in the church. I notice the reviews mostly come from the newest attenders. I left because I had no other choice. I've heard it said and I used to think that if a person leaves Free Chapel it must be their problem. However I left the church after serving there faithfully for many years due to issues I experienced with the staff there. Could the problem be the church?

The Absolute best way to discern whether a church is on target
by Dwight L.
Go to http://www.Freechapel.org and click on the Who we are link on the upper left side of the page. Then click on the "What we believe" link. You will find that Free Chapel's beliefs are Biblically accurate.
My family and I are members of Free Chapel. It is a Biblically accurate church and I have never felt closer to God.
Folks, anytime you step out to do anything worthwhile, you will be criticized. Even by other Christians.
The best thing to do is ask God for wisdom in accordance with James 1:5. Then go with God!
I invite you to visit Free Chapel, a scripturally accurate and on fire church!

Amazing!!!
by Rebecca W.
I never knew church could be so amazing and free. I grew up in the house of God, but it was very religious and never introduced me to who the true person of Jesus Christ is. Besides having an incredible word from Pastor Franklin, their worship leader, Ricardo Sanchez, is the most amazing and anointed worship I have ever experienced. I have stayed at the church for over two years because of the worship. I understand church has different meanings for different people, but I have met both Ricardo and Pastor Franklin and several other staff members and am truly amazed by their humble and genuine hearts.

Heaven on Earth
by Biju J.
Attending Free Chapel church services are always Heaven on Earth experiences. I Thank God Almighty for giving me & my entire family awesome every Sunday experiences to worship here.People are people & God is God. Here's a word of caution. Never ever criticise an anointed servant of the Lord. In Numbers 12:10, Miriam became leprous when she spoke against anointed Moses. So, if you want to stay healthy, weigh thy words before thou speak!I believe Free Chapel services are dress rehearsals before we go to heaven. This is how it's gonna be in Heaven.

Ordained Minister???
by Brenda H.
Just wondering, Ethan C., how did you obtain your ordination? I can't imagine a true ordained minister who doesn't know to capitalize the word "Bible". God's word deserves the utmost respect, and to repeatedly neglect to capitalize the title of the most important book ever written is insulting to Him, and to those who love His word.

Wow
by Melissa H.
It's amazing to me that people get their feathers all ruffled by one thing in a church and get offended and leave. There have been people I've run across in FCWC that have offended me, but I also know that they are not what the church stands for. This church has been nothing but helpful to me with their loving staff. Sure Pastor Franklin can't meet everyone, but he sure tries.
To the "ordained minister" my father is a pastor and he attends FCWC after years of leading churches. Shame on you for attacking a house of God. These are your brothers and sisters. Pray before you speak. (By the way, anybody can become an ordained minister today just by signing up online.) I've been in small chruches and each time they have thrown my father to the wind and kicked him out for speaking truth.
I'm sick of people getting tied up in money, politics, and backstabbing. I attend FCWC because I can open up and worship. If you can't feel God there, I question your willingness to open your heart and mind. If you're looking for a chruch that will accept you as you are and not gossip about you because of how you look, what you wear or what kind of car you drive, then this is a great chruch.

Make Free Chapel Your Home
by Veronica U.
I have visited many different churches since I move to Georgia. The first time I went to Free Chapel I knew that I have found my place of worship, and this is almost 3 years ago. Free Chapel is awesome, and for all you Christians out there, that are leaving those hateful comments you are not showing your Christianity very well. Every time I been to Free Chapel I have found love and the presence of God. So maybe this is not the kind of church that you are looking for. I wish you luck, to all of you, and I hope that you guys, can find the peace of God

Free Chapel in Irvine, CA
by Anonymous
Free Chapel, Irvine, CA is not to be missed! Because of my working early Sunday a.m. hours and needing to sleep at Sunday morning church time, I was looking for a Sunday evening service (not that many around any more). Talk about exceeding all my expectations! If you are looking for powerful ministry on the move that can shake a city, Free Chapel Orange County is where you find it at 6 pm every Sunday night. I have attended since October and am now a member. What a blessing for the OC!

This is a very inspiring place!
by peter h.
I am not a member of Free Chapel nor am I from a Pentecostal or a "charismatic" background. I have visited this church about 10 times over the past 2 years and I also watch Jentzen on TV from time to time. What an inspiring worship experience and he is an incredible speaker. What I appreciate most however is the annual 21-day fast that the church does each January. My life was truly blessed from participating last year in the 21-day fast, and I can't wait to see what God will do with the fast this year in my life. I have read the negative comments left on this blog by other reviewers- these people are probably the same people who will always complain about everything else in life. I say that if you don't like the church, then just go somewhere else. I believe that the church has been a real blessing to many people.

Read the rule book, think for yourself, decide for yourself
by Ethan C.
I have been a Christian for 28 years and I am an ordained minister. The reason we know about Jesus and Christianity is because of the bible. I have attended Free Chapel. It is a "charismatic" church and those churches always have a lot of people who discern things with feelings rather than with scripture. You hear words like "want, feel, know, need, believe, sense, felt lead, heard". Satan uses the senses to deceive.Tribes in Africa play music and go into trances and "feel the spirit".1 Timothy, 1 Thessalonians, tells us to be content, thankful and live a quiet life. It is not God's will for everyone to drive a luxury car and be healed from every sickness, if it was, it would be. The bible tells us that "pride comes before the fall". Jesus teaches humility, service, sacrifice and faith. There are a lot of things that do not appear to line up with scripture going on at Free Chapel, and yet there are probably some people serving each other. A pastor is a Shepherd and a Shepherd goes after one of his sheep that jumps the fence. There is no way that Jentzen can know a fraction of the sheep. He is not a Shepherd. He is a showman and America loves entertainment. Only God really knows if Free Chapel and the likes do more harm than good. Read a bible, study Jesus, and ask yourself if that place will encourage you to be more like Jesus and if that is a place where you can encourage others to be more like Jesus that is what the bible says church is for (Hebrews 10:25).

If Free Chapel is a such a great church...
by Jeff R.
Why would they come take over my church in Irvine, Ca and FIRE every person on the staff, some of them have been working at the church for 15-20 years, with no notice and not even getting to know them. They came in fired everyone except the old pastor's son, changed the name of the church when they said they would not, cancelled every service time we had set up and changed them to suit their schedules. We worked hard as a church to remodel on building, and they insulted me as a tithe payer saying "we only do things that are above excellent". I'm sorry if we didn't reach your standards when we bought the things we put into the church, but we don't have a "international ministry" and we can't afford the best things. So if this is what Free Chapel in GA is like stay away. They will only lie to you and tell you it's for you best interest.

Highly recommened this church!
by heather m.
First I would like to say that its quite upsetting that people would write such horrible reviews for this church.* I absolutely love Free Chapel. Ive been attending for about 2 months, since I moved to Ga.Pastor Franklin is an incredible Man of God! Very anointed. I feel God's presence every time I step into the building. Ricardo is also very anointed....the worship is intense and if you cant feel God, then its because you don't want to. They also have a ton of different ministries, like *the Turn* on Thursday nights . Its for young Adults. Others include Singles ministry, No Longer Bound (for addiction), Children's ministry and much more. I just want to say that Free Chapel is awesome! and I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else! Thanks to Pastor Jentzen and staff**

This one was not a good one for me,
by Anonymous
I attended the church for a few weeks and got to know some people in leadership there. I was lied to by them and I really cant stand Ricardo Sanchez the guy who sings there. What a phony. I have spoken to him He is as fake and egocentric as they come. I now attend Northpoint in Buckhead. That place is the real deal. DO NOT ATTEND FREECHAPEL!

Speaking in Love
by Sharon T.
I love Free Chapel, and have made Free Chapel my home. I come with anticipation to every service, knowing that I am going to enter into His presence through the praise and worship. I am then fed with His word. I am not a pastor follower but a God chaser. I can receive from anyone of the members of the staff at Free Chapel as well as the quest speakers that come there. But it is the Word I thirst for, as well as the presence of God. Now for the reason for this e-mail. I did struggle with last nights service(?) last night anyway. I did not get up and walk out as I did not want to cause anyone feelings from Lee university to be hurt. Had I walked out then the other ladies would have followed. One leaving does not look bad but 39 leaving from two rows would have. My spirit became upset when the man with the guitar came on the stage. One of the ladies next to me said (as he was playing) that the song was from the U2 group. I don't know who they are as I have not listened to anything but christian music in 22 years. Music was a trigger for the addiction I was in. I do not have religion as some might think. I have Christ... I came from a world of strobe lights, black lights, body paint, acid, weed, alcohol, country music, and hard rock. No I am not perfect and do not pretend to be. God has made great changes in my life...ones only He could have made. I love Him deeply for it..For 36 years I never shed a tear, NEVER now I can not stop from crying. God took my heart of stone and gave me a heart of flesh, I try to keep compromise out of my life...This is a direct quote from one of the women in the program. "I was doing great until they introduced the singer from Rascal flats, see I am a former alcoholic, (I have six months clean). When I was drinking I used to listen to their music, and other country music. When I saw him and heard him sing I got very upset and nauseous. I could actually taste vodka in my mouth. I wanted to get up and leave. I did not want to be rude or be disrespectful. The reason I wanted to leave was because I was offended. The guitar player and the man on the key board represented things in my past that should not have been in the house of God." Another quote from someone else. " The guitar player played well but played a song from U 2 an ungodly grup. I in turn told the women in a group meeting this a.m. that Pastor Franklin had not come from where we had. He had never gotten drunk or did drugs and would not understand that some things are triggers for those of us who have. We love Free Chapel and the preaching we receive when we come every Sunday and Wednesday. Last Wednesday we were told before hand what it would be like. At least it was all christian music. This Wednesday was a curve ball that we were not expecting. I did tell the women I would e-mail and let you know how we felt about it. The word says (as you know) that if we have ought we need to tell the one we have ought with. I told them that I also did not feel that you knew that the country singer had made a video that could only be seen after 10 p.m. Some had watched it before becoming born again. All that we ask is that we be notified if there is to be a concert or stage show. Sunday morning the congregation was told that Wednesday night would be back to normal. We believed normal would be praise, worship and the word. We hunger after the word. We came home and two of the staff went to our chapel until after midnight. All things work to the good....Romans 8:28 We love Free Chapel. We have almost every service on the DVD,s last Wednesday and this Wednesday will not be in our collection. When Pastor asked about taking notes the reason we do not is because we take them as we use the sermons for bible study. Not just Pastors but Jovan, Dr. Richies and the other members of the staff. Once again we want the Pastor and staff to know that we love and respect them for the time and prayers that they put forth in their effort with God's help and direction to help us all grow closer to our Lord and Savior.

An Experience

I have attended Free Chapel Worship Center numerous times within the past two years. These were mostly for special occasions. The worship services are highly charged with up to date music and high tech visual effects in order to allow individuals to have a deep personal experience. The individuals who volunteer at the church are kind and loving, and the book store has a good selection of items at reasonable prices. Overall, this church is a great one to attend and if theres one negative about it it is that it is too big at times and some of the activities have to be held off campus.
PROS: Highly Charged, Great Preaching
CONS: Big, Parking
