The hotel is older and in need of some updating, but for the price it is still reasonable. The room cost us $125 on a holiday weekend for 2 queen beds. The room was clean and large.

The front office staff were very knowledgeable about the area, accommodating to our needs and friendly.

It is right on the beach and near a pier. They have a large deck out back to just sit and enjoy the ocean breeze and the waves.

But if you are looking for a resort style hotel this is not it. If you are more laid back and just looking for a place to sleep and enjoy the beach, you will be happy with the price and location.

There is a great pizza place right across the street with HUGE pizzas for a great price as well.

let me start off by saying, it's not for everyone! it is older and could use some fresh paint...but come on...it's right on the water(sea water) which tends to strip paint and rust cars, that said i adored staying there...and will so so again if i ever end up in Californian again. The staff was wonderful!!! the town ..very charming. I'm not a surfer person..but i am one of those crazy beach goin sun lovin Texans. i was also very impressed that this place had NO a/c...just opening the back window was plenty, where i come from you would have melted to the bed during the night. there is a very nice fishing Pier and a couple of playground areas within walking distance. And they were so totally filming an episode of "john from Cincinnati" there too..and the film crew was staying in the penthouse of the hotel, so much fun to chat with them as they went back and forth. i loved it...if i could live there i so would.
