I recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Santa Fe from the dealership. Demarco was my salesman, and he was very helpful and knowledgeable! I did not have any of the negative experiences the posts below me have, so I am not sure if its a competitor making fake comments - but I had a very positive experience.

After I purchased my Santa Fe, I even referred my parents to Demarco when they were looking for new cars. They purchased a new 2009 Sonata and Elantra. So, now we have all Hyundai's, and we always go back to Keith Hawthorne Hyundai anytime we need a car serviced. I would definitely give them a chance before I listened to the posts below!

Pros: Honest Salesman, Great Inventory, Superior Customer Service

Trying to get in on the Cash for Clunkers deal, my husband called Keith Hawthorne Hyundai to see if they had any 2009 Sonatas left. He spoke to Tiffany, who told him they had several on the lot. He asked if they were still doing the Clunkers deal, and she said yes, and to come on down. He told her we were coming from Aiken (3 hours away), and she said she would see us in a few hours. I got off of work early so I could go with him. When we arrived, we couldn't find the 2009's anywhere. We went inside to ask for Tiffany, and were told to wait. After 15 minutes with no help, we approached a nearby free salesman. He asked if we were going to do the Clunkers deal, then asked what we were trading in. He wrote it all down & went in the back to get Tiffany. She came out and said she was busy, but that someone else would be helping us. Then the sales manager (Mark?) came out and told us they were no longer doing the Clunkers deals. HUH? We told him that Tiffany told us they were, and all he could say was that he didnt' know who we had spoken to. Either he is hard of hearing, or he has a learning disability. Then he started giving us some grief about how the gov't wasn't paying him back for the cars. Wah wah wah - not my problem. Why you would make someone drive for 3 hours just to tell them the deal they wanted is off is beyond me. Did you think that would build good customer rapport? No apologies from this dealer. The only thing that was sorry was the service. I'm glad I didn't buy a car from them - I can't imagine what service after the sale is like if this is how they treat prospective clients. Run far away from this dealership!

I am writing in regards to service that was given to my father in your service department. He owns a
Hyundai, he has owned it appoximately 2 years-if my memory serves me correctly. He has done all
of his maintenance with your service department and has always relied on the recommendations given
by the sevice advisors. He purchased 4 tires under the recommendations about a month ago. What
I am concerned about is he had just perchased those tires in sept. of last year and there was no
adjustment made (warranty), and they also charged him $40.00 more PER TIRE-same tires that was
purchased in Sept. _same part numbers-he still has receipts for both. My father is older and will
not cause problem most of the time, but this is wrong!!!! So he brought this to their attention, spoke with
the service manager, he did end up crediting him $120.00, but a credit-why was there not a refund given
for him being overcharged????????????? along with an adjustment for the tires less than 10 mo.
old??????????? We need to resolve this matter-my father has been pleasant and very patient-
but once again-he needs to get this refund in cash-that is what he paid and a warranty adjustment
amoun----it is the right thing to do. Below is my information and my mothers information--please
contact her or me with a plan for this refund asap. For the record I myself am a service advisor for
a very reputable dealership---this is no way to take care of a good customer.

Worst dealer I have ever bought from. My trade-in pay off was late and took 3 months of constant calling to dealer to get it paid off with late fees and penalties. It nearly ruined our credit since our lender said it was our responsibility to make sure it was paid. They didn't disclose previous repairs to my car, I found out from the service manager which is no longer there now. He didn't realize I was unaware. Have also tried to have my car serviced at the Lake Norman Hynundai and the service mgr. that used to be there is no longer there and the parts mgr. was wearing two hats and running two departments. My car is a lemon! They don't care. Whenever I have had basic service it comes back dirty with grease all over my interior.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: The entire dealership

My husband & I purchased two vehicles a Sonata &Tucson the same day with we two trade-in's. The Sonata has had a whining transm. which they say is normal & all models have it, condensation in one headlamp the first week, a rattle noise under the car the first 12 months with no resolution. The Tucson we discovered from Atlanta corp. the A/C unit was replaced at 12 miles. Within the 1st week the air went out and since then it's been in the shop for repair/replac. of many parts 4 times. In the past 2 months the complete dash was pulled out to repl. the entire A/C unit only to get the car back & with the dash barely hanging, screws missing & some laying around the car interior, the A/C quit again, the dash had damage from being removed & reinstalled, grease all over the interior, & the worst was the condensation tube was not reinstalled right causing the interior to completely flood. OH! The smell! Corp. is now involved (Atlanta) and they are mad. Did I mention the day of purchase we had a 5 month old baby, arrived at the dealership at 4:30pm, they jerked us around on price which took them until 11:00pm that night to get us out of the dealership? The third week we had the vehicle we found chicken bones under one of the seats, this was the vehicle the G.M. was driving. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP OR YOU WILL BE TAKEN IN SO MANY WAYS!!!! They have had at least four service managers since we have had the cars (the last one was fired just a month ago (nice person too) He must have known too much, and there have been several general managers. High employee overturn and lots of secrets just to make a buck. If you do business with them expect the finance department to call you months after your purchase and harass you for more documentation even I went in with everything they would possibly need, prepare to have your trade-in payoff to be very late from the dealership and they changed our interest rate twice in the first month. BEWARE!
