What a disappointment. My parents love to eat lunch at this place because they do have good food and a wide selection. I bought them $40 in gift coupons (4 coupons that cost $10 each) so they could enjoy some lunches on me.
When they went to redeem them, the manager told them they each had to use one of the 4 coupon cards for a buffet and would not receive any money in return. Well they are senior citizens who receive a discount and their combined total was only $12 and some change. My parents told them they would give them one $10 coupon and pay $3 cash for the difference. The manager told them it would cost them two coupons to eat with no change back..."it is the company policy". What? they get $20 for a $12 purchase? That's a big RIP OFF!

The food here is very good. There is a lot to choose from and there is not much pork on the buffet. It is American food and is kind of like Golden Coral. The prices are pretty good. The restaurant is clean and the people are friendly.

I would rank this buffet restaurant above Golden Corral (a chain restaurant with a similar theme) simply in terms of taste, decor and the overall quality of the food.

It's a Ranch style/Las Vegas style buffet, but they have different themes on different nights, like BBQ, seafood and Tex-Mex. They also serve breakfast buffets on the weekends.

I would say it's a nice casual type restaurant to take the family, especially since Texans love buffets!!!

We were invited to try Palomino's weekend breakfast buffet with some friends who go frequently. I have to admit, I was a bit intrigued when they told me about this "Las Vegas" sized buffet for $6.99 for breakfast. I couldn't wait to try it. Now that I have, I could've waited longer. Sure, the buffet LOOKS very impressive. It's huge. Eggs, sausage, chicken fried steak, pancakes, and plenty of potatoes adorn the buffet. It's also got a lot of Mexican food though, which was a bit odd until I realized that about 95% of the patrons on the restaurant were Mexican. Huevos Rancheros, Enchiladas, Tamales, and other traditional Mexican dishes are thrown into the mix. Things I liked: the Mexican rice, the enchiladas with the green chili, the breakfast sausage, and all of the potatoes (diced skillet, shredded, potato cakes, scalloped). Things that were awful: The scrambled eggs, the tamales, and most disappointing: the chicken fried steak. The eggs were dried up and looked and tasted fake, the tamales were dried out and bland, and the chicken fried steak was not so much steak, but more just breading with a little piece of meat in the center. Extra gravy couldn't even make it more edible. Still, for $6.99, it's not ALL bad. I'm actually a bit curious to see what dinner is like. They have an "all-you-can-eat crawfish night", but I'm a bit skeptical on how good that crawfish is. You don't want to sit anywhere near the kitchen or the bathrooms. We tried to sit as far away from the bathrooms as possible, but because it was so busy, we still ended up only about 20 feet away. The stench of cleaning products and urine was hanging in the air. It was gross. Sit on the opposite side of the restaurant if you want to maintain your appetite. This restaurant is incredibly far from me, located in Arlington right beside Six Flags. Still, I might have to treat this restaurant like an ex-girlfriend and come back hoping it's better the next time around.

my husband and i went to Palomino's bcs we got a coupon in the mail so we decided to give it a try. we were pleasantly surprised by the selection and the courtesy of the servers. the place was busy but clean. my husband said the ribs were better than Coulter's, i especially liked the fresh fruit on the salad bar. we've been back 4 other times since our first visit and haven't been disappointed yet. the prices are great for any family budget.

PROS: selection and price
CONS: you serve yourself but that's ok
