Prices are going up. Service and quality are going down. Almost always serving the same old stuff and it seems to taste old. Sushi chefs used to greet the guests. They now do their best to ignore them. Young men at the door don't look

Something is not kosher at this restaurant. How do I know? My liver told me so...

This is the only restaurant that has made my liver hurt. Definitely not a good sign. Avoid the Super Crunchy Rolls.

Find another Sushi house this one stinks!

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Could be life threatening

I frequent this place about 1 or more times a week. I've tried other places but I always come back to Sushi Hana as it is a great sushi bar. The Sushi and Sashimi has always been fresh and likeable. Some of my favorites are the spicy tuna roll, seared tuna, vegas roll and the tempura.
Its also nice that you can order directly from the Chefs and don't have to stick to whats availible on the conveyer belt. Yes at times I have pulled a warm dish from the conveyer that has been cold. Just simply ask and they have always been glad to re-heat or make a fresh one for you.

What can I say, Good Fresh food, for a good price.

Pros: Price, Selection, Value

Cons: Sometimes its hard to get a seat from being to busy

We discovered Sushi Hana couple years ago, and we go there at least ones a week now.
Very good, fresh sushi, excellent service, and decent price for value.
Sometimes it may get a bit busy, but it's only a sign of good sushi place.
Owner opened a new Sushi Hana close by (5 min. drive) next to Washington Square, where they have less people (for now).

We have been eating at Sushi Hana for the past 6 months and it has never disappointed. The fish is fresh, well priced and if you don't see what you want the chefs will make it for you. We have always had great service, but be prepared to wait a long time if you go for happy hour on Monday evening. Definitely the best conveyor belt sushi bar in Portland. Don't forget to try the Poke.

Pros: Awesome fish.

Cons: They only have 3 booths so if you have a party larger than 3 you may have to wait if you don't want to be at the bar.

This place is absolutely wonderful you are greeted by all employees as you walk through the door. There is always fresh and tasty sushi on the conveyer belt and if you can't find what you want there one of the chefs will make you what you want. They have happy hour every monday from like 5:30-9 I believe, where every plate is $1.50 or less the place is very packed on these days but they have to go service available at happy hour prices. They also do specials on mondays of a three day weekend. I highly recommend you try this place!

I've been here a few times recently, and although it isn't fancy or something you'd get from a nicer Japanese restaurant, it is pretty good for a sushi bar (kaiten zushi), as you can pick off of the revolving belt or ask chefs directly for menu items, and they come up fast.

Cons: not the nicest decor, closes by 9

My wife and I are something of sushi addicts, and we make a point of finding good places to go for the fix when it hits, and Sushi Hana was one of the first places that we discovered when we came to the Portland area. The store is not of upper class, but it beats the hades out of most corner joints that you run into, or most of the "authentic" Sushi places found in asian markets. The service is always friendly, the food is always tasty, and generally during the prime time hours the place is packed. They have excellent $1 sushi days every month or two that allow the experimentation we all love to do, and on those days it is wall to wall. I do not recommend going during the middle hours of the afternoon when it is dead, simply because it goes dead for awhile and they relax after the rush so the food gets slow, but otherwise I recommend everything about the place. The food itself is definately above average, but it is not luxury faire.

So if you love sushi and you want good stuff without paying out the nose, Sushi Hana is definately the place to be. Enjoy!

Pros: Good food, very friendly, very good value.

Cons: Somewhat sparse atmosphere, somewhat limited seating.

Good place for cheap, fast sushi fix. Don't expect cuisine type of sushi. Friendly staff and good value.

I used to go to this place all the time about two years ago when I moved to Tigard. Then about a year ago, I think it underwent an ownership change, and the quality really declined. I went there last night for a quick dinner thinking I would give the place one more try after a year's hiatus. Big mistake! At 6:00 pm, there was hardly anything on the track, and the food that was there looked like it had been there since lunch. All that was on the track was california rolls and spicy something rolls. The tea wasn't very hot, and the tempura plate was freezing cold. When someone opened the refrigerator under the counter, it smelled as if something had died in there. I'm really surprised by the 5-star reviews on this restaurant. There is FAR better sushi out there, and Sushi Hana doesn't seem to be very interested in turning out quality products.

This is a great little restaurant! All of the staff is super friendly and accomodating, and you can easily have a full meal under ten dollars. I'm a very "safe" sushi person, and tend to shy away from anything too exotic, but there are several dishes on the track that I can enjoy. My husband loves EVERYTHING and holds this as his favorite sushi wrap. Try their house wrap--it's delicious!

The waitresses are friendly and fast. I really enjoy sushi train restaurants, and I have to say this one is the best I've been to especially in the portland area. The fish is fresh and the tempura is fantastic.

Pros: Tempura, food, environment is extremely friendly

Cons: Not really a place to take a first date, can get pretty busy during lunch time.

Sushi Hana consistently serve up fresh fish with at a great price. My wife and I can eat there until we are stuffed for a total of about $25. The chefs and the wait staff are fantastic and will always make anything you would like. With the conveyor belt, it sure is convenient to stop by and grab a quick bite on the run.

This is becoming my favorite sushi place!! I started going because I work around the corner and it's convenient, but I continue going because it is fresh, tasty fish at a good price. The staff is always on top of their job and friendly. Definately my favorite "track" restaurant. Give it a shot!

Their sushi tastes a lot like SushiLand's and their prices are pretty similar. I can't really complain about the place. Their service was always alright, although sometimes they had trouble understanding me and I couldn't understand what they were saying. The place is small but pretty clean.
