DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CONN'S!!!! We bought a really nice Samsung refrigerator from them and had to have them come back out and replace it twice because both times it was damaged by the delivery team. Then they were supposed to come out to replace it with the 3rd frig this evening between 6-9 and didn't show up or even call us! Unbelievable!!!! Have never experienced such poor customer service in my life! At this point I'm about to roll it out to my front yard for them to pick up and will not be paying for sh*t!!!

Sounds hard to believe, but I just had a great experience with them during a refund. I returned a lawn mower (unused and closed box) and was given a refund even though their policy said they wouldn't accept a return on a gas powered item.... Sales rep said he would make a call and call me back, I thought I would never hear from him again!! Big props to the Conns in Edmond OK. They value customers more than a few bucks in commision!!! Will return and spend my $ there again! Make sure to ask for Lorance. Great guy and customer driven...

Visited Conn's in Gateway Center, Beaumont, today and the sales person was so rude that I left the store. She stood behind me, after I told her I wanted to look at the refrigerators without her help, and she kept asking if I had any questions yet. She then began tapping her foot and interrupting the conversation I was having with my husband. We went in the store to buy a refrigerator, range and dishwasher. She was so rude that we left the store. There were so many sales people standing around the doorway it was hard to get in or out of the store. I used to deal with Conn's but never again.

I ordered a tv online from Conn's in Nov 2010 , simply because it was a great deal on a great tv. I called their customer service line a few days later, because I was going out of town and didn't want the tv to arrive before I was back. I was simply going to ask them to wait 2 days to deliver, but they said on the phone it would take 5-9 days anyway. They obviously don't know, because it was delivered 2 days later. When it arrived, the box looked pretty beat up. I opened it immediately and plugged it in to make sure it worked, and it had very obviously been dropped on the side. The whole screen underneath the lcd was ruined. I had to have fedex come back out to pick it up and send back, and am now waiting for another to be delivered. I just looked on their website though, and see it is not there. I have a good feeling I will not get a replacement. I also have a good feeling by what I read in other reviews, that it was damaged before it left Conn's, and they probably make money by having Fedex reimburse them! I've wondered this all along, even before I read these reviews. I can't imagine fedex would drop a tv, that is clearly shown as a tv on the box. Their customer service is terrible. They kept telling me I had to call this one specific guy who handled internet sales, and every time I called, they said he was at school. Why can noone else help me?? This place is terrible. I am filing a complaint with the BBB as we speak.

On Nov 1 2010, My fiance and I went into Conn's in Lake Charles Louisiana to buy a mattress set. He normally deals with the Conns in Orange Tx and has had positive experiences with them. He also has perfect credit with them since 1998. The sales associate was clueless about the product we wanted and only got us rang up after making several mistakes that we had to correct her on. They tell us that our bed will be ready to be picked up the next day. I went back the next day by myself and when I asked for help, the manager told me to "go find someone else over there" and pointed to a group of women all talking and laughing loudly (ignoring all the other customers in the store). I go get one of those women and she promptly starts arguing with the manager about having to do some work. They finally brought out my mattress and box spring and loaded into my truck. The guy that loaded it used a single rope to tie down the mattresses and when i asked him if that would hold it, he said "oh, yeah, you'll be fine". I lost the mattress to the interstate 5 minutes later. After getting the mattress off the interstate, I called Conns corporate office and they did not want to help me, stating that the guy was doing me a favor by tying it down but that they could not be responsible for the damage. After complaining and fussing for about an hour, they finally agreed to give me an exchange. I left work early, brought the mattress back up to the store the next day because they said my new mattress would be in the store. I waited while the got the old mattress off and then was told that the new mattress was not in that day, to come back the next day. Went back yesterday to pick up the new mattress and they loaded it up and my brother tied it down and brought it home. When we were unloading it, I noticed that the mattress was the same damaged mattress that I had already returned. Livid, I called the store and talked to the manager and he argued with me for 15 minutes before telling me he was going to the stock room to check. He said that, yes, "we gave you back the damaged mattress, but you can bring it back and we'll give you a new one". When i ased if the new one was there, he said it was NOT EVEN THERE. Now I have to wait til Thursday to get my new mattress. They are supposed to be delivering it but somehow I doubt it will show up. I have never been treated so poorly by a company. I run a store and if i treated customers that way, I'd be fired. After reading all of these reviews, Im surprised Conns is in business at all. They are unprofessional, immature, argumentative and irresponsible as service agents. I will never shop there again and I will do everything I can to make sure the people I know dont shop there either.

These are good people. My wifes washing machine broke and we needed a new machine fast. Conn brought the machine to our house the same day and hooked it up. The saleslady was very nice

I bought a 60 " TV. No problems. They had best price and explained how to work the TV. I moved to NY state. I asked them for a box to place the TV for packing. The salesman came to my home that night with a box.

Bought a 61 inch Mitsubishi tv plus other items from the Round Rock Conns in 2006. Bought an extended service warranty for the tv. The lamp burns out, I called their service dept to get a replacement lamp sent to me. After waiting several weeks, called service again, was on hold for 30 minutes listening to an obnoxious recording about how good they are at customer service, spoke to a rep who said they had no record of me calling, and my warranty had just expired. But, they would be happy to sell me one.
Stay away, very far away!

I purchased a fridge from Conn's and paid high price. To my surprised they deliverd a damaged fridge, and had to refuse it. We returned to the store and selected another fridge and paid higher price. This time they delivered the wrong fridge and have not refunded the balance. I have been calling the store manager and the corporate office and all without result. It is ironic tho hear their recording emphasizing the high customer service. They are liars.

Bought a kitchen aid refrigerator with an extended warranty, in May the fridge started having a musty smell the water & ice had a bad taste. We talked to the people at the store, the manager said he had heard of this, he said it sounded like there was something inside the walls of the fridge. We called to have some one come out, the service man came out saying he only dranked water and he could not taste or smell anything. He also made the commet he did not know how my house smells. He told us to wipe down the fridge to see if that helped, but it didn't help the musty taste of water and ice and the musty smell. We called again, another man came out and said he could taste the water and it did have a musty taste. He told us to clean out the fridge with baking soda, so we cleaned it out again, put in 2 boxes of baking soda and a hanging baking soda. Again it didn't help. We called again and they sent out the 1st guy again, and of course he couldn't smell or taste anything. We keep trying to call them to come out, they say the will not come out because our fridges smells. We called the Town of Flower Mound to test the water,he definitely could taste and smell what we have been talking about. He said the smell and taste was mitrates, which is water that is stuck some where inside the fridge. It is not in our water source, but only in the fridge. Conn's has given us such a hard time from the repairman, to the customer service. They said they would no longer take our calls. But today I talked to a lady at Conn's she said she had heard of this. It is now Sept 7, she will have some one out on Monday. Who knows if they will help or not. My suggestion is to stay away from this company, the name is a good discribtion of them. Absoultely an horrible company to deal with.

The salesmen are telling you 30 days and that's deceptive! Of course two years and 4 months after the sale, the dryer stops heating. No service plan because Conns plan goes into effect at the same time that Whirlpool's does. Really its a one year warranty. I think the store's warranty should kick in after the manufacturers expires. I called Conns Warranty dept and the lady on the phone admitted that salesmen were not always truthful about the manufacturers warranty. I should have recorded that conversation. She said there was nothing they could do about it. Bottom line... I had to pay 229.00 for a new thermostat on a dryer that is only 28 months old and costs 900.00 when I purchased it. I have purchased many things from Conn's and paid them all off, I will never shop there again though. The salesmen were not honest.

Don't ever buy from Conn's! I have been trying to have my dryer services since May 1st and it is now June! Their service department does anything but service--No calls with windows, not getting there during the window, calling me to reschedule several times, cutting hand during repair and bleeding all over floor, doorway, sidewalk, etc. Then when I finally call them back, they say it needs another part and they will replace the unit. Then why was the guy here replacing the stupid motor? It was another wasted day thanks to Conns. The store manager where I originally purchased it will only do an exchange, but I want both the washer and dryer picked up and my money back! I don't care if it has been 2 years since I purchased!

I purchased a temper pudic bed, and a frigidaire stove from conns in july 2009. We had 2 stove's replaced in one week cause they would not even turn on and than conns tells us we have to return the stove's that don't work cause we never payed for them to be delivered. Than the 3rd stove we get goes out a month later and the service department will send someone out and it was a week for him to come and then 2 week's for the part. Sep 2009 my box spring broke and they send someone to look at it. OH by the way no call to let me know that they are going to approve it to be replaced. So we have to take it up to the store to get a new one. But only find out that we than have to go to the warehouse to get it. Than the warehouse wants to know where the broken one is. So than me and my husband get the new one home and lay down to go to bed and what do you know pop, pop the new box spring is broken in 2 spots. I'm so pissed there the worse place to do buissness with and I will never go there ever again. Thanks to there wonderful sevice's and hell they have put me through I rather buy from the flea market than them.

Purchased stove from Conns november 2008. One of the stove top burners went out in January 2010 and the oven elements burned out in March 2010. I called Conns and was told there was nothing I could do because I did not purchase the extended warranty and the stove's 1 year warranty had expired. I now have a stove with only 3 burners working.

THIS PAST WEEK WAS SPRING BREAK - HAD A HOUSEFUL OF PEOPLE AND MAILED MY PAYMENT A DAY LATER THAN I SHOULD HAVE TO MAKE THE DUE DATE OF 21. I AM A MORTGAGE BROKER, AND USUALLY ON ACCOUNTS, WHEN IT IS DUE ON THE WEEKEND, THEN THE FOLLOWING MONDAY IS FINE.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS: I MAY BE 24 HOURS LATER THAN DUE DATE, BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE AT ALL. AS OF MONDAY AT 3:00, I HAVE HAD NO LESS THAN 5 CALLS FROM CONNS. I EVEN SPOKE TO TWO OF THE CALLERS AND TOLD THEM I HAD MAILED THE PAYMENT ON FRIDAY. THEY WILL GIVE ME 2 MORE DAYS BEFORE THEY WILL CALL AGAIN.
I HAVE HAD 2 PREVIOUS ACCOUNTS WITH CONNS AND DID NOT GET THE OBNOXIOUS CALLS BECAUSE I WAS NEVER LATE. I HAD HEARD THE STORIES FROM MY CUSTOMERS WHO HAD CONNS ACCOUNTS - THEY ALL SAID THEY WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
MAYBE LEGALLY THEY CAN CALL, BUT FOR THE SAKE OF GOOD BUSINESS AS IN REPEAT CUSTOMERS, THEY ARE THE PITS. I TOLD THE CALLED I DID NOT WANT THEM TO CALL UNLESS MY PAYMENT WAS A WEEK LATE (WHICH IT HAD NEVER BEEN). SHE SAID THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY THEY COULD INSURE PAYMENT. I HAVE MADE MY PAYMENTS WITHOUT PHONE CALLS - DO NOT PUT ME IN THE SKUZZ-BUCKET CATEGORY. THAT IS VERY OFFENSIVE. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND AS SOON AS I CAN, I AM PAYING OFF THIS ACCOUNT. ONE MORE THING - WHEN I BOUGHT THE REFRIGERATOR-CONNS ADVERTISED $300.00 WORTH OF STEAKS - WHEN I SENT THE PAPERWORK IN, THEN I WAS TOLD THE PROMOTION WAS OVER. I CALLED CONNS AND WAS TOLD "SORRY". I CALLED OMAHA STEAKS AND THEY DID SEND ME A PACKAGE OF STEAKS WORTH ABOUT $60.00. WHAT A "CONN". FOR WHATEVER GOOD IT WILL DO, I AM MAKING A REPORT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL. IF YOU ARE DISGRUNTLED, I WOULD ADVISE THE SAME. NOTHING WILL CHANGE IF WE DON'T SPEAK UP.

MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN PAID ON TIME EVERY MONTH PLUS OCCASIONALLY MORE THAN AMOUNT DUE.
THIS PAST WEEK WAS SPRING BREAK - HAD A HOUSEFUL OF PEOPLE AND MAILED MY PAYMENT A DAY LATER THAN I SHOULD HAVE TO MAKE THE DUE DATE OF 21. I AM A MORTGAGE BROKER, AND USUALLY ON ACCOUNTS, WHEN IT IS DUE ON THE WEEKEND, THEN THE FOLLOWING MONDAY IS FINE.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS: I MAY BE 24 HOURS LATER THAN DUE DATE, BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE AT ALL. AS OF MONDAY AT 3:00, I HAVE HAD NO LESS THAN 5 CALLS FROM CONNS. I EVEN SPOKE TO TWO OF THE CALLERS AND TOLD THEM I HAD MAILED THE PAYMENT ON FRIDAY. THEY WILL GIVE ME 2 MORE DAYS BEFORE THEY WILL CALL AGAIN.
I HAVE HAD 2 PREVIOUS ACCOUNTS WITH CONNS AND DID NOT GET THE OBNOXIOUS CALLS BECAUSE I WAS NEVER LATE. I HAD HEARD THE STORIES FROM MY CUSTOMERS WHO HAD CONNS ACCOUNTS - THEY ALL SAID THEY WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
MAYBE LEGALLY THEY CAN CALL, BUT FOR THE SAKE OF GOOD BUSINESS AS IN REPEAT CUSTOMERS, THEY ARE THE PITS. I TOLD THE CALLED I DID NOT WANT THEM TO CALL UNLESS MY PAYMENT WAS A WEEK LATE (WHICH IT HAD NEVER BEEN). SHE SAID THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY THEY COULD INSURE PAYMENT. I HAVE MADE MY PAYMENTS WITHOUT PHONE CALLS - DO NOT PUT ME IN THE SKUZZ-BUCKET CATEGORY. THAT IS VERY OFFENSIVE. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND AS SOON AS I CAN, I AM PAYING OFF THIS ACCOUNT. ONE MORE THING - WHEN I BOUGHT THE REFRIGERATOR-CONNS ADVERTISED $300.00 WORTH OF STEAKS - WHEN I SENT THE PAPERWORK IN, THEN I WAS TOLD THE PROMOTION WAS OVER. I CALLED CONNS AND WAS TOLD "SORRY". I CALLED OMAHA STEAKS AND THEY DID SEND ME A PACKAGE OF STEAKS WORTH ABOUT $60.00. WHAT A "CONN". FOR WHATEVER GOOD IT WILL DO, I AM MAKING A REPORT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL. IF YOU ARE DISGRUNTLED, I WOULD ADVISE THE SAME. NOTHING WILL CHANGE IF WE DON'T SPEAK UP.

Went in to Conns in Denton, TX to buy a 52" Sony LCD TV. They say they price match so I told them CompUSA had 3 in the brick and mortar store in Plano, about $300 dollars cheaper. Manager came out and said they don't price match all stores, only certain ones and guess what CompUSA is on the don't match list. We looked around the store, serveral more conversations with the Manager trying to get us to buy, then as we are walking out the door he came running up saying they just noticed that the TV we were looking at was on a 1 day sale and they forgot about it. It was $200 dollars cheaper than CompUSA. So we bought it. 2 weeks later the LCD panel goes bad. We were assured, even told them where we live, 15 miles from the store, that a Conns employee would service it. Guess what, the Service Center says we are out of the service area.... After number of calls and complaining finally got a Conns service man to come out.

But what really ticks me off is that they are not honoring there exchange policy. They are saying we cannot exchange the TV within the 30 day period like the exchange policy states on the receipt holder that they give you. Tried and tried, but no luck. If they don't determine that it is better to exchange then fix, my next stops are the BBB and the Attorney General to report deceptive trade practices.

The whole TV buying experience at Conns made me feel like I was at a car dealership lot, where the salesmen follow you around as you look. This will be my last purchase at Conns.

Oh Beware of Sony LCD tvs, this problem of vertical lines running half way across the screen has been known to Sony since 2008. Some XBR models have even had there warrenty extended to 2012 to cover this issue.

As far as the merchandise, it is over-priced. Their competitors offer products for much lower prices (e.g. Best Buy, Amazon.com, Wal-Mart, etc.). For example, I recently purchased a LG BD370 blu-ray player from Best Buy for 129.99. Three weeks later Conn's offered a LG BD270 blu-ray player for 169.99. They are selling much older equipment for higher prices.

We purchased a washer and dryer from conns late may 2009. the dryer already is broken. it broke 4 weeks ago. i called conns the same day to tell them and they sent a guy out about 4 days later. he was from A&E , the makers of the dryer, he said he had to order a part and it would take a week. a week later, no part, no call. so i called them... "uh we cant get that part, lemme check on it and call you back today." NO CALL ever came. called conns back 2 days later. Whoever I spoke to said they have to have proof that A&E could not get the part. that she will call them and call me back the next day. NO CALL ever came. I called them back 2 days later. Talked to Roxanne. She said "oh A&Es system has been down for days and stupidly transferred me to A&E. they said it was down only 1/2 a day and they never recieved a call from conns about my dryer. I called Roxanne back. She said now Conns will have to try to get the parts needed. WTF?? So I waited and waited for a call back. Guess what..??... NO CALL. I called her back 11/19/2009 and she said "oh it has been approved for an exchange but I have to talk to my manager." She called back a few minutes later, which surprised the crap outta me, and said "my manager has to approve it and we will call you back" NO CALL AGAIN!!! I called back today 11/23/2009 and someone said "um you can just go in and pick out a new dryer at any conns now" OMG!! I could have done this last week!!! PLEASE NEVER GO TO CONNS. PAY A LITTLE MORE AND GO TO FRYS OR BEST BUY! YOU DONT WANT THIS GRIEF!

Conn's appliance credit department decided to take money out of my checking account without authorization. They do not have anyone in charge in the credit department. They do not have a customer relations department. They don't have a website. In order to make a payment, either you go to the store to make a paymentor pay by phone. that it is. The consumer credit commission is conducting an investigation on them. The Texas Attorney General is also conducting and investigation. I hope something good comes out of this.

My Son's Computer Broke In Feb.09, Took the computer back to the OK Store on N.W.Expressway in March 09'.. For Repairs as of Today May 24, 2009. NO COMPUTER.. Went back to the store to check the status, they wrote my name and number down to give to the Store Manager, no call back. Still no computer. Called the store talked to the store manager, he was suppose to call me back that day, went to Kansas enrolled my son in summer classes, came back, he never called me back. Explained to the store Manager and the Asst.. Manager that I have a son in College...That has to use his computer for his classes that he takes on line. Tuesday May 26, 2009 his summer classes start..which is taken on line. The Manager acts like he just don't care. If you have a child that is on his/her way to college, and needs a computer for your business. Buy from another company so that your child or your business will not be hindered.

Both my husband and I have made several phone calls and sent emails requesting the status of our TV repair. Numerous phone calls and requesting to speak to a supervisor have never been answered. Christina is the supervisor, and Chuck is her boss. Neither have responded. You always get a different person who makes promises that someone will call, but it never happens. The next correspondence they'll receive will be from our attorney.

I purchased a freezer from Conn's in Houston, TX and have been calling since August 08 to get it repaired. They sent out 4 different service technicians and each had a different recommendation. The last one said a door needed to be ordered and when I called the service department to confirm, I have spoken with 8 or nine different people all with a different lie. I've even sent letters to the President Frank and the customer service manager, Chuck and to date neither of them bothered to respond. I'm still waiting on my freezer to repaired. Conn's has horrible customer service especially when it relates to appliance repair.

There were several mistakes made by Conn's with my purchase of a new fridge. Mistakes happen, but when Conn's makes them, they do not fix them. I have gotten the 'run around' for a month trying to fix their mistakes - no one takes ownership, their payment systems have conflicting information, they are rude, hang up on you and do not come through on their promises. This has been the single most horrible service I have ever received - please do not be completely screwed by Conn's - they are truly a CONN JOB!

I called conns in 9/2008 to have my LG Tromm Front Load Washer serviced. They gave me an appointment for 10/17 which was about 3 weeks after I called for service.The service man never called the morning of the appointment and I had to reschedule for 11/10. The service went to a previous address, because my account was never updated and started servicing someone elses washer, until the realized they hadn't call. Once again i was told i would have to reschedule because he was not in my area.I have been without a washer for 2 1/2 months and spending money getting my clothes clean after spending $600 on this washer less than a year ago.

my tv broke down on aug.31. i called conn's to get service on sept.3, they told me i couldn't get service until sept.18. they called me on sept.16 to come and service my tv. they came and said it would take awhile to get the part because of the hurricane.ok.they called to say they would be here on sept.23. i toldthem to call me on my cell phone because no one would be home. of course they didn't call my cell phone, and called my house phone.cancelled that day and resheueled me to come on oct.23.they came on that day and told us the part that they had orderd was the wrong one. i now have to wait for them to get the right part.my tv has been broken for 2 months.it seems that they are taking their sweet time to fix my tv.had i owed them any money they would have called me a million times already,but my tv is paid out and i have the insurance on it.this just really piss me off. i will not recommen or buy anything from conn's again.

Horrible... I was in the store for no more than 10 minutes. I had a white store manager ask me to leave the store unless I was going to buy something. Sounds ridiculous... imagine how I felt. I have purchased things at other locations ...never again. The manager at the I 75 location needs to be fired!

Bought a riding mower. Took it home and it would not start. They came out and replaced the battery. Turned the ignition and mower showed 70+ hours of use. Mowed 30 minutes and then a pulley bolt broke and shredded the belt. They came out and fixed it. Spent most of the first 30 days of summer broken down in front yard waiting on repair man (repair man was great). Service manager would not replace mower (lemon). Service manager was terrible, dishonest and avoided my calls. He was the one who denied any return or upgrade. Sales people even thought I got the shaft. He had secretary attempt to handle my calls. She did her best, but was terrible and began making totally stupid, unseen diagnosis. Mower broken down as we speak (spindle). Can't find replacement parts. You HAVE to go through the Dallas service center. They never found the manual and I can't order parts. Don't take my word, call 972 661 5297 and check out their service for yourself. I just did. Waited for over 5 minutes and they never connected me to an operator. It's every time I call. They are absolutely terrible!!!

Beware of Conn's 1) deceptive practice (forcing consumers to buy collateral insurance and not disclosing it properly on contract), 2) high interest rate charge.

I have made a purchase with Conn's on 6/11/2007 for $1655 (a set of washer/dryer). I got the 12 month same as cash term, and I had made payments timely and had called to payoff my balance. Their system didn't take my payment on 6/6/2008, and as a result the payment was not posted to their system. The final payment was due on 6/11/2008, and upon realizing that it didn't post, I called back immediately on 6/17/2008. They are charging me 3 years of interests because now they considered my payment 6 days late. I explained their system error, and offered to pay off my account in full. They said that I am bound by the terms of the contract and I should have read the fine print.

In reviewing my contract, I also notice they added another $300 for insurance premiums stating that they required it, or I can opt out if I show proof of my home insurance, even though the option was never explained to me. I know I should have reviewed the contract thoroughly but I still feel that they are out to get unsuspicious customers. Now I am stuck with a payoff balance of $2622.24, even though the purchase I made was for $1655.51. I don't understand how they can charge me this much in interest for 1 year and 5 days. As I stated, I offered to pay off immediately, but they said I still will have to pay the full $2622.24.

I went to purchase a stove a few days before memorial day and it was suppose to be delivered on memorial day between 2:30 and 5:30. They showed up at 7:30 that night, took out my old stove and unboxed the new stove - which was damaged! I was told they would be back the next Saturday to deliver another stove, but they didn't show up and after several phone calls, I found out that they could not get another stove - WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE CALL ME!
I immediately cancelled the charge and to this day, still have not heard a word from them - CONN'S HAS MY OLD STOVE and I have an empty space in my kitchen - duped in dallas

My husband and I were looking at camcorders at Christmas time, this last Christmas of '08, and the manager walks up to give us his input about the camcorders and told us if we didn't like the one we chose and was hard to understand to operate we could bring it back and choose another one.Boy that was a lie. The color was very bad on it so we decided to take it back and exchange it for a different one. We went to the store three or four days after we purchased it and was told we could exchange it for the same one or be charged 30% restocking fee which would have been $50.00 to get a different one. I'm not paying $50 for them to bend over to put it back on the shelf again! So, were stuck with it. They acted like they could care less if we came back to their store. We'll think twice before we buy from there again.

We purchased a T.V. and upright freezer about 2 years ago. About 2 months ago our picture tube on our T.V. went out. We had purchased all of their warranties so they are responsible for the repair on the T.V. I called their service department in Dallas and about a week latter they sent a SEARS repair man out to look at the T.V. He called Conn's to let them know what was wrong and what the cost of the part was. The part costs more than what we originally paid for the T.V. Well a month past and we heard nothing, and SEARS was still waiting on Conn's to order the part. We have been calling and they keep giving us the run around. They have now submitted our problem to Corporate for review. They say they will either replace the T.V. or give us store credit. It has now been about 42 days since I placed the first call to their service department. We were originally told that we would have our answer today May 1st 2008 from Corporate but have now been told that it could take much longer. I hate to say this but this is not the first problem we have had with them. Their Corporate office is located in Beaumont, TX and they have not been the same since Hurricane Rita hit and they lost an enormous amount of their records.

It appears I am not the only consumer to have been mislead and rudely treated by this retail chain. Their return/exchange policy is ridiculous. I bought a window unit, and it was the wrong size. I tried to return it without having even used it, and within 24 hours. NO RETURN OR EXCHANGES. There were no signs stating this policy nor did any sales/cashier mention it.

Their store is aptly named... they "con" people into buyng their appliances. One word sums them up: AWFUL!

DO NOT BUY FROM CONN'S! Their service department is rude, not helpful and lie! I bought all new whirlpool appliances. After 3 uses, the dishwasher breaks. They have to send someone out 4 times to repair! It still doesn't work correctly on full cycle. The drawer in the fridge broke. While the tech was here fixing the dishwasher, he said that he would have to order a part for the fridge...it would be in in about 4 weeks. I call..no part ordered..they said that he shouldn't have told me that and that there would have to be a new service order for the fridge! I have tried calling to speak to service managers and noone EVER calls me back and when I demand to speak to someone, it just goes to a ring and noone ever answers! THEY SUCK!! I will never buy from them again!

I just want to add my complaint about Conn's Appliances to this to help warn people about this shady operation. I bought a refrigerator from Conn's and they forgot to send me the payment book. When it came time for me to make my first payment, I called them and asked them for the amount and to send me a statement. They told me they would send me the payment book. In the meantime, they asked me to make a payment over the phone which I agreed to do but the problem is that they went into my bank account and took not only the amount we agreed upon but something they called a late fee. We never talked about a late fee since it was their fault they did not send me the payment book. The point is I never agreed to any addition amount beyond the specific amount of the monthly payment. In the meantime, they reported me to the Credit Bureau as a late payment in spite of the fact that I agreed and made the payment. Now that I am researching complaints against them on the internet, I want to warn other potential victims to take these complaints seriously.

Some time ago I bought from a Dallas store an air conditioner that looked like a very good deal. They had no return policy on these devices, but I decided to risk because the deal was very good
and I thought that large known stores like Conn's are trying to provide quality services in order to stay competitive.

I was wrong. They brought me the box that looked ok, so I decide to buy it. At home I found out that the side lying on the ground had signs of a pretty strong physical impact. It's hard for me to believe that store sales assistants did not notice this problem. The product was completely unusable. I congratulated myself for not buying a more expensive product and since the product costed even less than regular price I did not loose much money.

Now I am offering the following tips when you buy products from a store.

1. Check the store return policy. Don't buy products that have a no return policy.

2. Check boxes on all sides.

3. Before buying expensive appliances from a store, make an initial trip and just walk around, buy a cheap product that you afford to loose (like I did), see how they treat their customers, see what are their policies, see what informations are they asking for, check their customer service. This way you can have a better picture on what to expect when you buy an expensive appliance.
