My three-year-old currently attends this preschool. I have to say we love it! He has learned so much there. And the teachers are phenomenal. Yes you are expected to work at least three hours a week with the kids. But this is so much fun, and rewarding for everyone involved. It's not just a preschool, it's a family, a community if you will. Ms. Pat and Miss Mary are wonderful with the kids. This is your child's education and your child's future, it's worth the effort. The reviews from anonymous really surprised me. Because that is nothing like the center preschool that we know.

I think this is the best place for kids age 3-5. The teachers really prepares your kids for Kindergarten. The teachers are very patient and takes their time to provide varities of activities for kids. All parents are very involved and we pretty much watch each other's kids. My daughter is been in this school for a year and I am surprise how much stuff she learned the first month she joined this program. This preschool actually provides field trips once a month. Center Coop Preschool is very reasonable and very interacting since you have to spend 3 hours a week in class with your kid(s). Another great thing, they provide parents meeting class once a month and they give you great tips how to better deal with your child, etc.
The previous "anonymous" person that gave negative comment about this preschool was I think just plain bitter.
Overall...great preschool!!!

My son has just completed his second year in this program. We are going to miss everyone alot.. We as a family have learned so much from this program. I recommend it for anyone who wants to be involved in their children's education. The teachers, and aides go above and beyond for ALL the children, and their families. The people who posted anonymously are the few that didn't like having to actually work in the program. They wanted daycare, and that is not how this program works.

Center preschool is an awesome school !!!! However, it is also a lot of work. The school, after all, is a parent enrolled program, not a child enrolled program. Adult education means just that. The parents are there to learn how to interact and relate with their own children, as well as other children in the program. What kind of teacher would Mrs. Pat be if she did not let her parents learn by practicing what is taught. Her job is one of overseeing and directing as well as teaching the parents better methods of parenting. Sadly, some parents are just looking for less expensive childcare without putting forth the effort that the program entails. The enrolled adults are given all of the information up front and are then allowed to make the decision on whether or not the program is right for their child and the family. If you decide to enter the program with all of the information up front, and then find out that the program is not right for you, have the grace to leave quietly. Unfortunately, children do get hurt!!! If you truly expect that your child will not trip, fall, or bump into things then you have been blessed with a graceful child. Learning to interact with other children, even the mean ones, is a social skill that all children need to learn. With so many parents and aides on hand, at least it is a more secure environment to do so.

Pat is a great teacher. She does expect much from her parents because she wants the best for your children. She manages about 50 families per year. That is a lot for one person, and I am sure that her pay does not match her job. She truly cares for the children in the program and is constantly contemplating more that she can do for the program.

As a continuing parent in the program, I can honestly say that most of the parents are participating for all of the right reasons and are kind to all of the preschoolers. If you were to have a problem with another parents choices, Pat is always available to hear and intervene.

The teacher is an idiot, she doesn't care about the students and she leaves it all to the parents...and then you have parents that don't care about any other child but their own....I had a bad experience and the ended up pulling my child half way thru the year.

You get to see your child interact and learn. That's the only good thing.
Other than that, this school is very involved. So if you're a busy parent, don't get caught into this program. It's pretty cheap $65 a month with 20 hours of your time (very strict schedule) OR double fees if you don't want to do the time. IF you do do the time, the parents and main teacher are very uninviting and hard to talk to. Both me and my husband are good people, with much to say and great listeners. We found it hard to fit in with the "network" The teacher however is very good with the kids. There were times that a child will be left out of an activity if the parent does not bring in the necessary items...making it very unfair and uncomfortable for the child. Also, there are a lot of different parents that come in every day, so your child does not get the consistency there.
