I decided to go to La Casa regardless of the negative reviews because I had a personal friend say some really great things about her experience. From looking at their website, they seem to have lots of therapies that address hard-core

My doctors blamed my 3-week long periods on the fibroids in my uterus. The first time they operated, they removed 3 fibroids, one so dense that the sonogram didn't spy the 3 other fibroids hiding behind it, which a 2nd operation removed. The fibroid left in in the lining can't be removed by such a simple procedure... for that one they will have to go in through my belly. And yet, after two operations and 6 fewer fibroids - I was still
getting hugely heavy periods for 3 long weeks each month, a situation that lasted for over a year. Needless to say I was getting pretty anemic, and my sex and emotional lives were taking quite a hit. Then I started seeing Gaia. After my first session with her, my next period lasted 6 days ONLY, which was nothing short
of a miracle for me. I did several more sessions with her - I was doing a 6-week long cleanse and saw her weekly - not least as she's as kind and charming, as disarming as humans come - and am ecstatic to report that thanks to Gaia my menstrual cycle is entirely back on track. I would suggest anyone who has fibroids or otherwise unpleasantly long menses seek her out. She changed my life significantly! Thanks again Gaia. X

Behind a small door on 20th street between park and broadway lies a hidden gem of a spa that I was thrilled to discover and feel like I need to share this ""insider scoop"" because it is such an amazing spa I can't believe more people don't know it.

I did purifying salt sauna that uses himalayan salt and black sea salt before getting my skin scrubbed down to absolute smoothness with the body polish that uses some kind of seaweed and left my skin simply glowing. I feel like all the grime and pollution that builds up in my pores from living in NYC were all magically scrubbed away.

I didn't have enough time to try any of their other services but definitely want to come back to do a day package.

A huge tension reliever! La Casa is a spa of knowledge and body therapy. The staff makes a person feel like they have come home and savored a dose of relaxation. The much needed body pampering is an escape from emotional holiday stress. I plan on becoming a regular customer to improve my knowledge and give my body what I deserve. \r
Thank You La Casa, your name says it all!

I booked an Aromatherapy Massage without knowing what to expect, and it was AMAZING!! Blended citrus oils were released over my body along with hot towels infused with different oils. This was the perfect gift to myself over the holidays. I'm a runner, and I often feel sore and my muscles feel tight, but after this massage, my tired and achy muscles felt relaxed and relieved. I feel like a new woman- even my skin feels smoother and younger. I recommend this Spa to anyone who needs to get away to retreat for even just an hour or two. The spa is beautiful-I enjoyed hot tea while sitting in the calm, beach-like, country lounge..I felt like I was at my family's beach-house on their porch. The staff was so helpful and the service was incredible.
Plus, I bought a gift certificate and got 50 % off the 2nd gift certificate- a nice promo they are doing for the holidays. I walked out with some FREE guess jewelry also just for coming in. Love this spa!

This was a horrible experience. They tell you to arrive early so I got there 15 minutes early and just sat there waiting the entire time. I was scheduled for a colonic. They say it is an hour, but by the time all the blabbing is done the actual procedure is only about 40 minutes. My colonic therapist, gayatini kept playing with her phone and actually took a call. when she wasnt on the phone she was watching the clock. DONT GO HERE \r

After an emotional roller coaster of dealing with all of lifes heavy tasks, stresses, and feats, I constantly suffer from migraines and headaches on a daily basis. On a good day, I even tend to have a slight headache. I am accustomed to popping at least two Tylenol a day to cure my painful headaches, however, Im well aware that my liver is working way too hard to metabolize the Tylenol, and eventually the Tylenols long term usage will cause damage to my liver. To be in pain short-term or long term? That is the question. Ive always needed a short nap to recover from my migraine, but who honestly has time for a nap nowadays, especially in New York City where time is money.
I was a Premed student at the University of Texas, however, the thought of pursuing medicine was daunting to me since Im not a huge believer in pharmaceutical drugs. The idea of curing a health problem with a pill always seemed too easy instead of diligently examining the lifestyle more closely and fully diagnosing the real problems at stake- such as diet, sleep patterns, etc. I decided that this career path wasnt for me, so I moved to New York to pursue my artistic passions instead.
Fortunately, I met an amazingly inspiring and all-knowing woman, Dr. Jane Goldberg, who introduced an alternative, healthier lifestyle for me. At first, I was a skeptic, like most people would probably be when first thrown into a different dimension of an innovative medical practice. I informed Jane of my terrible migraines that I was experiencing, and she insisted that I try the CEM tech, a Russian handheld, therapy instrument which communicates directly with the cells in the body using millimeter wave technique. I figured that I had absolutely nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Furthermore, the woman has been accurate ever since Ive met her; I would never accuse her of being wrong now since shes always right on the money. This woman is a prime example of this modern type of healing technologys success and results. Ive never met a more energetic, lively, and intelligent woman at her age-65-yet she has the spirit and vigor of a 25 year old.
After 20 minutes of using the CEM tech, my migraine was miraculously gone. The pain was completely nonexistent. Ive been using the CEM tech on a regular basis, and my migraines have dissipated. I hope to keep using the CEM tech, but I have a positive feeling that Ill be migraine free soon.
Im a firm believer now in the CEM tech. Id recommend it to anyone who has doubts of any kind.

This facility is top notch! I have gone here for my red light therapy anti aging treatments and I have seen vast improvement.
You cannot find a better practitioner in the city. They are all so knowledgeable and very informative.
I have friends that go here for various treatments and they are raving fans!

Today I had a phenomenal experience at La Casa Spa in New York with Dr. Goldberg. I scheduled an appointment for the Magnetic Pulse Therapy and I feel wonderful!. I believe the technologies that she is offering at La Casa Spa surpass conventional therapies, deliver rapid results on a cellular level and allow for profound changes to take place. \r
\r
I experienced physical shock and trauma at a very early age and have spent several years in physical therapy to remove the imprint from cellular memory. As the tissue is deeply scarred in many ares of my system, it is challenging to get down to the root and release the anchors that are holding it in place. \r
\r
To being with, she handed me a paddle like device called Onnetsu which sent far infra red deep into the tissues. While I could hold it is some areas without any discomfort at all, in the areas where I had old injuries, breaks, tears, sprains etc. I could only hold it for a few seconds. My conscious awareness was flooded with a full range of temperature sensations from luke warm to intense heat with just a shifting of this paddle over the surface of my skin. \r
\r
One area in particular I experienced a 20% reduction in the size and overall area of a bony cyst. The change took place in less than 20 minutes of rubbing the device over the top and lifting it off, repeating and holding it for as long as possible with each pass. The shape of my hand has changed and I have greater flexibility in it already. \r
\r
Next I experienced the magnetic pulse portion of the visit. It felt like I was sitting on a pulsing drum. Later she wrapped what looked like a long extention cord around my hips and turned up the pulse meter to the point where my system became overtaxed. Turning down the impulse brought a sense of calm and greater balance overall. I also noticed a greater range of motion at the end of this process. \r
\r
What happened next was amazing! In her infinite wisdom, Dr. Goldberg brought out a little hand held device called Cem Tech and told me to hold the two discs in any area that I felt would benefit from some extra attention. I placed one disc at the base of my spine and the other on a very tight thigh muscle. In less than a minute, the muscles that previously had reached their threshold with the magnetic pulse therapy, dropped their long held defensive holding pattern, softened and within 5 minutes my entire belly region relaxed. \r
\r
\r
Within the next five minutes thrill bumps ran up and down my spine and spread out across my back. My heart and the muscles in my chest wall relaxed. I felt an old familiar ""fearful feeling"" suddenly leave my belly and a shift took place throughout my system. In place of the fearful feelings came a rush of warmth and joy. \r
\r
Then she brought out a headband with crystals for me to experience. . More sensations of warmth and calmness spread from head to toe. More open feelings of joy in the body and peace in the mind. \r
\r
Normally being in a busy place like the city is overwhelming to me and I tend to avoid crowded areas. Today I was able to cope with ease when I walked through the chaos of the city streets back to Grand Central. I was present in a more relaxed body, able to take in far more information without feeling overloaded. \r
\r
The Cem Tech portion of the experience lasted 10 minutes and accrding to Dr. Goldberg that was just a ""sample"" of what this hand held device can do. I am really looking forward to my next session of Magnetic Pulse Therapy, Onnetsu followed up by an even larger sample of the Cem Tech at La Casa! \r

I had the good fortune to be given a gift certificate to La Casa. And I spent the most enjoyable day there I have had in months. From the moment I walked in, I knew the place was special. The dcor made the front room (very spacious) seem like I was outside in the tropics I suppose (as I understand the mother spa is in the Puerto Rican rain forest). I had come for a float and a colonic. The float was an experience like nothing I have had before. I floated atop water in a room that was the size of a walk-in closet. I was peaceful and energized all at the same time. I came out feeling utterly revitalized mind clear as a bell. The owner of the spa, Dr. Jane Goldberg, says she tries to float every week and attributes how fantastic she feels (and believe me she LOOKs great at 64, she looks 50) in part to the anti-aging effect of the anti-gravity phenomenon of the float room. And by the way, she spent about a half hour with me after my therapies just chatting gave me a free demo of a pulsed magnetic machine which lightened my load so much that I felt I might waft away into the stratosphere. Then onward ho to the colonic. Well can you say a colonic is lovely? This one was quite lovely. Therapist seemed to know instinctively exactly what my body wanted in terms of in-flow and out-flow gently massaged my legs and abdomen made me feel like Queen for a Day. Want to feel like Queen for a Day? Go to La Casa Day Spa.

La Casa Day Spa shouldnt even be called a day spa. It is so much more. It is a true healing center with true healing therapies. I went in unable to even walk without limping I couldnt bend my leg at my knee at all. I met the owner Jane Goldberg and she told me with absolute conviction no doubt at all in her voice that she could help me and that she could help me quickly. She put me on 2 machines that seemed very Star-Trekish - she said one was a Russian device (called the Cem Tech) and explained how far ahead of us the Russians are in doing energetic medicine. The other machine was bigger and apparently used magnetic energy (called the pulsed magnetic machine). After both treatments she made me walk around and voila no pain, I was walking bending my knee. Truly nothing short of miraculous. She sent me out with a little disc that she told me to wear and then told me to come back the next day to get it revitalized. I did all of the above and I have to say I have never had an experience like this before. A painful inflammation in my knee gone in a poff. The treatments took altogether 30 minutes. I am god as new. Really - I dont understand it but La Casa Day Spa is my new home. Also the ambiance is quite wonderful. You do not know you are in NYC while youre there. The sounds, scents, plants, furniture all designed to give you a feeling of being in a tropical garden and you do. Best healing experience I have had since I moved to NY from Israel.

This place is in my neighborhood so I went in for a Swedish Massage. My masseuse was good, she was nice and firm. But Too Bad I won't go back because when I got there the guy at the reception wasn't very nice. Later while I was in the waiting room I was in this part that was kind of behind some screens so I couldn't see him, but I could hear him talking on the phone and also to some of the people I think who work there. He had a nasty loud way and then didn't even look up or smile when I went to pay. My massage was good but I was glad to leave because the vibe was just bad and not even professional. I wouldn't go here myself again or tell a friend to go either.

I've had mulitple colonics with Cher and she's very gifted. She gives the best stomach massage during the treatment to help faciliate a great release. I feel comfortable and relaxed with her and her knowledge of the digestive track is impressive. She has yrs of experience, which is what I want with this kind of delicate treatment. AND the colonic room is CLEAN which is important. I've had colonics elsewhere and Cher is the best.

I read about colonic's after wanting to loose a lot of weight and was referred to Sharon Stone from a friend. I was impressed with her determination to help me take steps to do it the right way. Her knowledge was so realistic and helpful that i was able to loose weight with out starving myself. The support that she provided was better than the Doctor I went to see. Now Im a much skinner healthier me.

Both my daughter and I have visited this spa for services several times over the past few years and we have never been disappointed. We have consistently walked into the spa and immediately felt like we were in the tropics. We have always been greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable and at home with some herbal tea. Greg the manager and staff have always been flexible and eager to accommodate and please.
I have felt the stress immediately leave my body when I walk through the door. We have both experienced several different massage therapists and they have all been terrific!!
Dr. Jane Goldberg the owner does extensive research and is always adding cutting edge treatments. I recently tried the pedi-detox and was amazed to see all the toxins that were released.
Try this spa you will not be disappointed and you can feel comfortable knowing that all the treatments are well researched, have great benefits and totally reduce stress.

We went together for the Day of Detox. I am trying to quit smoking - and decided that a good detox might help. From the first phone contact we made with the spa, we were expertly advised on what treatments would be best. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the spa. It is filled with plants - and has a nice relaxing out-doorsey feel to it - a welcome relief to the urban-ness of NYC. My friend and I passed each other perdiocally - as we moved around - from therapy to therapy. then we re-met in the reception room to do what they call the pedi-detox -- which is a detox through the pores of the feet. now that was kind of scarey. by the time I was finished with that treatment, the water my feet was immersed in was almost totally black. My friend's water was much lighter. they explained to me that the darkness of my water indicated a lot of toxicity (well -duh - I am a smoker). OK - if that isn't compelling evidence that I need to quit smoking, I don't know what will be. the whole day was really quite wonderful. I loved the therapists I had. loved the staff. mind you - this is not a spa for everyone - it is not glitzy and glittery and definitely not corporate. if you want fancy with stainless steel and monochromatic colors, go to another spa. but if you want great service, profound therapies, a real sense of doing something amazing for yourself - then go to La Casa Day Spa.

I went with my friend. it was a random choice. we signed up for the Day of Detox - and detox is exactly what we did. what amazing detox therapies we had. half the time, we weren't even sure what we were doing - at least in the beginning - until the various staff people explained - why what we were doing was going to work - and the real scienfitic principles and research behind all the therapies. Apparently the owner - Dr. Jane Goldberg - is a research freak - and has thoroughly researched all aspects of holistic healing. The spa reflects her knowledge and expertise. I have become a true believer. I felt lighter, almost weighless when I walked out the doors. Have decided to make this a regular part of my health maintenance routine. the spa itself looked like a graden -and had a lovely ambiance to it.

When I first walked in the place smelled like am old mom & pops place, however my boyfriend and I brushed that off! We were there for colonics and floats, I went first to do my float, one, they ask you to use sponges that a million other people use...of course I did not! Second, the float area looked very rusty around certain areas and the water was cold & looked like it wasn't changed at all! Third, my boyfriend waited for his colonic by reception where a ups guy, and other people came in...he had on just a robe!! Everything seemed very unclean to me, I wish we listened to some of the reviews for I now have a rash on my arm. Please DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

I'd had a colonic at another place that had not been pleasant. I was fairly certain didn't care to try again, until a friend made me promise to go see Sharon. I can only say that I wish I'd gone to see her sooner. Sharon suggested that we proceed as though it was my first time. First she explained the entire procedure to me, thoroughly and with gentle good humor, even anticipating the questions I felt a little shy to ask. Her manner was so caring, thorough, kind and professional, that I began to realize I was in good, knowledgeable hands and felt myself start to relax. When we proceeded to the actual colonic, Sharon's therapeutic touch helped me through the procedure. She kept up a gentle conversation, reminding me when to breath, and educating me about my body, and opening my mind to thinking about incorporating nutritional changes into my everyday life. The last establishment I had visited pushed me to buy all sorts of supplements that I wasn't sure I needed. Sharon's ""less is more"" approach felt more right for me. I have returned for two more sessions, followed her advice about simple sensible approaches to food, and lifestyle, and have experienced real and positive changes in how my colon functions, not to mention my skin looking more clear and vibrant. I plan to bring my mother with me to see Sharon the next time. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with her as soon as you can! I'll never go to anyone else.

When I was looking for the best colonic in NYC, I came across La Casa. So I expected good service. However, my therapist not only came in late, she wasn't friendly, and rushed me for her next client. After going elsewhere, I would never come back here.

I woke up at 4 a.m. with serious discomfort in my ear. Actually, it was more like serious itching. I had never had an ear infection or any ear problem in my life so what could this be? Thoughts of trying to find a doctor and paying outrageous bills were racing through my mind. I don't have insurance. It's a double edged sword because it is a major hindrance when I really need a doctor, but on the other hand it keeps me away from them! I googled my symptoms and realized it was swimmer's ear?funny I barely swim. The cause is bacteria and fungi. Of course everything online says to treat swimmer's ear with antibiotics. I ran across just a few homeopathic remedies one of which called for drops of equal parts rubbing alcohol and acetic acid (plain vinegar). But first I called La Casa because they are one of the few places that offer ozone. They informed me that ozone kills germs-perfect for nasty ear bacteria. I did a 15 minute treatment and immediately I felt much better. The itchiness was gone. It did come back, but not for another ten hours or so and never as intense as the night before. The next day I did the homeopathic drops twice and the third day another 15 minutes of ozone to get rid of any last bacteria. My ear is back to normal, no itching and when I press on it no tenderness. I don't know if the ozone alone was responsible for my recovery but it did provide instant relief. The ozone combined with the drops was 100% effective. No hassle, no antibiotics, no doctor's fees?..just cheap, fast and easy!

As soon as I walked in the door I could feel the stress start draining from my body as I took in the tropical ambience and fresh scent of the lobby. My day of pleasure started with a massage unlike any I have had before. Starting out gentle and slowly going deeper and deeper until every knot of stress simply dissolved away-it was amazing. I've had massages at places that only do massage that didn't come close to my massage at La Casa. Next, I luxuriated in the Float room. What an amazing experience that was. Floating on the water was the most relaxing thing I've ever done. I felt like I was one with the water and it was an incredible feeling. I did it for the detox benefits but loved it for the feeling of weightlessness and freedom my body enjoyed. I finished my day of pleasure with a facial that left my skin unbelievably soft and smooth-I never looked so young and so radiant! If you do nothing else for yourself, you must give yourself the rejuvenating gift of La Casa Day Spa.

Cons: I live an hour away

My visit exceeded my expectations by several light-years (and that?s how quickly the experience seemed to go by ? way too fast). I started my day with a great massage, I was completely in the now and forgot myself, and let my problems melt away. Then I went for two detox therapies: the pedi-detox ? and the oxygen steam bath. What came out of my feet from the pedi-detox was not to be believed ? but Dr. Goldberg (the owner of La Casa and their ambassador of good will and health) assured me that EVERYONE discharges lots of toxicity through their feet ? apparently because the feet have large pores through which toxins can be released. She said it was a great treatment for releasing excess mucous as well as heavy metals. The steam bath was pleasant enough. More importantly, I came out feeling cleansed like never before. And then onward and upward a to sheer blissful experience: the FLOAT. I didn't know about the FLOAT when I made the appointment, it is the best reason to come back and you have to try it! It seems like a cross between the Dead Sea and my oversized bath-tub. I thought it was about 5 minutes when I heard the gentle rapping ? but it turned out, it had been 55 minutes since I had first stepped in. It?s great to leave La Casa feeling so pampered and step out into NYC so centered and renewed with the whole city on my fingertips. I recommend this spa fully to all that need the usual (massage, colonics) and the total spa experience you never knew you could have.

Cons: I live in Massachusetts, 2.5 hours from NY

This is a great place if you are looking to espace the busy streets of ny then this is the place to go to. if you are getting a colonic make sure you book your appointment with sharon, she is great she makes this ""embarassing"" experience very comfortable.

Highly recommend...I'm totally hooked now! I have had one colonic before and it was so so...this time I was totally comfortable b/c of the atmosphere in the spa and the experience of the therapist. I felt sooo much better afterwards and I have been back three times since.

Ready, set, go and you don't want to stop; it's that good an experience. It's everything they say it is and more. After my colonic I felt lighter and my back felt better than it had in years. Then I had an acussage - apparently, a unique treatment developed by La Casa - combo massage and accupuncture. I was so blissfully relaxed that by the time she put the needles in, she could have performed a labotomy on me - truly, no pain whatsoever - actually, the needles felt quite pleasurable. I'm planning to make both colonic and acussage part of my staywell regimen.

I walked in the door and felt like I was in another world far far away from the noise and hassle of New York City. I knew immediately this was going to be a very special experience. I had signed up for one of the day packages and what a day it was - heaven on earth. It all started with this very nice elderly man who reminded me of my father. He was very reassuring and made me feel right at home. After all, I was about to have my very first colonic. The colonic made me feel like a new person, although not as pleasurable as the massage I had afterwards, it was not unpleasurable. But the most exquisite experience of my visit was the float. I'm planning on repeating the whole day next month.

When you think of the worst possible thing that could happen to you while having a not so pleasant procedure well it did! the fabulous therapist everyone is referring to managed to not do something right because i was left lying on a table while i don't want to be too graffic my ""stuff"" was coming out and not in the tube. i complained without even an apology. i am scared for life!

I disagree with the above reviews. I have been a customer for over 10 years at this Spa and the last 2 times I went the service was sub par. When I arrived they switched the masseuse to an older in-experienced person who was nervous, talked too much, which made me feel very uncomfortable. The other time I had a body scrub, and I had a terrible rash when I was through. I find the accommodations outdated and run down. I would not recommend this spa to anyone.

At long last, I found THE day spa that will be mine forever! Not only did I have a colonic with a professional named Cher - who proves to be the most talented there is - but I have now introduced my very conventional, conservative boyfriend to this therapy...and he's made it his own. (Thank you, Cher! ). I also tried the oxygen/ozone bath to deal with the wound on my foot that would never close and heal... and following that treatment, and then an ""accusage"" with a pro named, Jenn, well, it's finally healed! (I'm back in my Manolos!). Thank you for all of your steep knowledge and expertise and a great ""day at the spa"", LaCasa!

La Casa Day Spa is a gem. It is like a diamond in the rough but without the rough. The waiting room is spacious, light and airy and looks like a tropical garden. I sipped my tea pleasantly ? which was offered and served by a nice, balding man named Gregg who seems to own, or manage the spa. I was picked up by my therapist and escorted to my treatment room ? and there the real delight began. I had come for a massage and a colonic: the pain first (not really); then the pleasure. The colonic was ? believe it or not ? totally relaxing. My therapist ? whose name was Cher ? had a non-stop running massage on my calves and my abdomen as she was gently encouraging (through various gentle manipulations) my bowels to release themselves. It was absolutely sanitary ? and when it was over, I got up feeling lighter and my back that had been aching for 3 days felt infinitely freer and less achy. The massage was soothing and deep ? and somehow the therapist knew when to do which. I?m a convert. More colonics; more massages for me. La Casa is my new home.\r

La Casa Day spa was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I had the Day of Detox package with the massage, float, and colonic and the therapists Jenn and Cher were great. The girl at the front desk was so nice and everyone made me feel welcome. I will definitely be back for more treatments.

I am a southern country girl from the back roads of New Orleans Louisiana. NY was a bit overwhelming to me at first - until I found La Casa. It was like coming home. the staff was so friendly, I thought they were family. the ambiance looked like my back yard - filled with plants and trees. I had signed up for a massage - and it was exquisite - but while I was there, they were running a special - I could get another treatment with a $25 savings if I got it that same day. I opted for the supoer-enriched oxygen steam bath. Although it wasn't exactly fun - because I was sitting for a half hour in a steam cabinet, they assured me that it was a powerful de-tox treatment. While I was having the therapy, I watched a CD about it - and learned a lot about the beneficial effects of the activated oxygen that was being pumped into the steam cabinet - and thus into my body. I learned that this is a frequently used form of therapy in Germany - as well as a lot of other countries. I felt cleansed like never before - from inside to out. My skin - everywhere on my body - smelled fresh and looked terrific. I ended my visit by buying a face gel that they make at the spa - it takes 3 weeks to infuse the gel (a combination of coconut, olive and macadamia oils) with the activated oxygen - and then they add over 20 essential oils to it. It had an amazing scent; it felt amazing on my face. I am going to make a visit to La Casa part of my life now. It's a great part of my new life in the Big Apple (as opposed to the Big Easy).

Although I am only 14, I take my facials and spa treatments very seriously. I love La Casa - for so many reasons. My mom's been going there for years - and kept hounding me about going. so - one day - I did. The people there were really friendly and make me feel right at home; I did not feel intimidated by the space - I found it warm and inviting (unlike so many other spas that are modern and cold); the therapists gave me a great massage and facial. But - here is the thing. when I was there last, one of the colon therapists started talking to me about my face - which had broken out in a few zits (actually since I started going to yoga). I didn't completely believe what the colon therapist told me - but I decided to trust her anyway. she told me that a series of colonics, combined with facials, would totally change the way my face looked. and she was so right. by the 3rd colonic, I started seeing my old fresh face - no more blemishes. I started looking 12 again (just joking). everyone who wants a great face should come to La Casa.

I came to La Casa because of back pain. A friend had said that having a colonic would help. Several people I know told me that La Casa Day Spa was the best place in town to have a colonic. In fact, the colonic was wonderful. The therapist was kind and gentle -- a real ""soul"". But I gave myself an additional unexpected treat. I also floated. Floating was subime, totally the best thing I had done for myself in a long time. The water was clean - having just been filtered and UV lighted. I was bouyant in what I was told was 800 pounds of Epsom salts - which they explained was highy detoxifying - as well as keeping me afloat. I actually feel alseep (I think) for a few minutes. I solved most of the world's problems because of the ""SUPRACONSCIOUS state that I fell into - where everything became clear. Seriously, I felt terrific at the end of my 2 hour visit there - like a whole new day had opened up for me. Can't wait for my next visit.

Pros: nice helpful staff, beautiful facility in a tropical setting sort of way

Cons: up one flight of stairs

The spa space looks like a crummy Boca Raton motel and the manager is perpetually cranky but La Casa is home to the best colon therapist in NY. Sharon Stone is an incredibly thorough, professional, experienced practitioner. Enlightened and extraordinarily knowledgeable on all aspects of health (including diet and supplements) she integrates massage to help you get the most from your session. She is truly a healer. \r

Pros: Best colon therapist

Cons: Decor, rude manager

I can only speak for the colonic which was excellent. If you have one, ask for Sharon Stone. She is extremely professional and highly knowledgeable. While the spa is not high-end, it does have a casual and cozy, tropical ambiance which I found inviting and relaxing for alternative health treatment. Good value.

Pros: Best colonic therapist

Cons: More wellness center than spa

I agree that the service from the manager at La Casa Day Spa is, let's just say very rude! I did not care for his demeanor. The colonic I received is a different story! Sharon, the colon therapist, is totally AMAZING! She is very professional and full of knowledge. I was and am very happy with her and will not go anywhere else for my colonics. If you can get past that very rude manager she is sooooooooooooo worth it! THANK YOU SHARON!

Old, Dingey, rude, and gross--and yes I am being mature about it. The place was Miami circa '76 decor--and remianed unchanged. It didn't look clean--not exactly what you want from a detox spa. The owner/manager was unaccomadting and extremely rude. The place was so bad, I let them keep my money and even forwent the massage I had paid for. I have gone to the Asian massuesse places before--so it's saying a lot that I wouldn't even let this place give me back rub let alone any sort of cleansing. But most of all, I found the service and staff rude and unknowlegable. a definte no-go in my book. Especially considering all the great places NYC has to offer.

Hello NYer's. I don't go to La Casa for the spa treatments so I can't comment on the over-all spa experience but if you're looking for a top-notch colonic therapist then you're in luck. Years ago a friend of mine got his first-ever colonic from Sharon Stone and later that day had such an amazing experience of well-being that he told me I had to go see her. I did and have been visiting Sharon for periodic treatments ever since. \r
\r
If you've never had a colonic but have been been thinking about it, or if you're not happy with your current practitioner, I would encourage you to book a time with Sharon. I can't recommend her highly enough. Her competence, gentleness, professionalism, and warm presence are a winning combination. And if you're nervous, like many people on their first visit, she'll put you right at ease, walk you through the process as it unfolds, and educate you about colonic health as well. \r
\r
So, don't be scared to give this a try. Sharon's a pro and has a long list of steady clients to prove it. You'll be in very good hands. \r

I had a great colonics treatment with Sharon Stone. She makes you feel very comfortable considering the situation but I have to say I thought the spa was extremely outdated. The spa robes were made in the 70's and the decor didn't match. So if you're going in just for colonics and not a ""spa experience"" this is your place- if not go elsewhere.

My fiance and I decided to take a romantic evening just the two of us. We stumbled on the Le Cachet website and saw their couples spa package. I decided to take a chance. That was the best decision I made, well besides proposing to my girlfriend. They gave you a massage side by side, with aroma therapy surrounded by candles, than we had along time in the sauna. The staff was wonderful; the owner was courteous and recommended all the right things. No pushy sales tactics. I recommended the spa to all my friends, and all of them had the same thing to say as I did. 5 stars!!!!!

Pros: All organic producrs, the staff had great level of experiance

Cons: Not enough time spend getting pampered, I could have been there the entire day

i looked closely at their website to decide on a treatment, but i had a few additional questions so i called. the woman who answered the phone was super unhelpful--she kept saying, well, did you look at the website? what did the website say? and didn't know any answers off the top of her head. i hung up without asking all of my questions because i knew i wasn't going to get anywhere. if this is a testament to their staff, i'm not sure that i want to go anymore.

Great ambiance, relaxing, a great holistic way to destress, heal and relax. There are always new and innovative ways of healing and destressing that are found at La Casa. I always am amazed at what they come up with and look forward to try them

I love this place! I feel I am shedding off a layer of the city as the door closes behind me, and I walk into a room with water and tropical plants and soothing music. The staff and therapists seem to radiate the same sense of calm. Even before I begin the amazing vibrational frequency massage, I have felt my healing begin.\r
I think the serenity spreads to the pocketbook too! This place is amazingly priced for the quality of the therapists!
