Last weekend, I took my sister in to Ohm Spa after having a wonderful experience there with a girl friend of mine a few months ago. The service staff are delightful, friendly and the owner and his wife are very hands-on. The first time I was there, the owner's wife even plopped herself on the floor to repaint my pedicure that she found sub-par.
Since my last visit, the prices are about 20% higher than they were. I started coming here from another spa in the area whose prices were comparable. Ohm wins by a landslide for ambience and a general atmosphere of relaxation-- not to mention lovely decor-- but the manicure/pedicure services continue to disappoint me. Last time and this time, my manicurist/pedicurist did such a terrible job-- left a large border of unpainted nail and parts of the paint bubbled up as it was drying!-- that it isn't a wonder the owner redid them the first time I went in. At $50 a pedicure, it's definitely not worth having nail services done here.
My facial and massage were good and relaxing, but not stellar, particularly considering the prices. There are other spas in the area, like Finesse Day Spa, that may not be as well decorated, but have better service for a more reasonable price.
I'm sad that Ohm Spa had to raise their prices. I'd recommend it if money is no object, just for the lovely staff, but there are more reasonable spas in the area with much better service.
Pros: friendly staff, ambiance
Cons: poor mani/pedi services, poor value:price ratio
