I prefer Pino's to other local Italian restaraunts... including Olive Garden. The garlic bow-knots they serve with salad are awesome. They make the best chicken caccitori (sp?) I have had in Virginia... (I come from NYC) and they give generous portions. The parmesan cheese that they have on the table for you to sprinkle on your food is better than I have tasted elsewhere. Not like you buy from the grocery, but has a creamier texture, Also, their marsala is yummy! I don't go to Pino's for the pizza, although I love the crust and the veggie pizza is best for me... I go there because it is the best Italian food I have had in Colonial Heights.

This place has ok pizza, but it is cheap. If you are low on cash and want pizza, EAT HERE. Not many locals eat here so there is always seating available

This place is located where the old la caretta used to be. It is decorated very nice on the inside, but in comparison to the other Italian restaurants in the area, they just don't seem to be as good to me. Especially the pizza, the crust just doesn't seem good to me, a little dry too. Worth giving them a try though to see for yourself. The atmosphere is nice.

This place is great if you're craving italian food. Yummy garlic bread sticks, great cold salads, and their pasta entrees are outstanding. The carbonara is really good, as well as lasagna. I don't think this place gets the attention it deserves. I'd much rather walk in and sit down here during the dinner hour than wait 45 minutes at one of those chain restaurants.

Pros: great food, no wait

Cons: TVs are on the news network at all times. So much for romance.
