I recently was at the Montgomery Salvation Army and it was not good. The place is messy and many items are filthy. Only about 1/3 of the stuff a poor person can afford and the other 2/3 rd is very over priced. Many items are broke and do not work. There is no public bathroom and the front door is not wheel chair friendly. Someone needs to do something. I witnessed an employee load his car up with very nice items one morning before they were open.
I found a used child jumper and they had $3.00 on it. It had stains on it.

Best kept secret in Montgomery. Target Stores donates a ton of merchandise *new* and slightly damaged to the SA. I have so much fun dipping into the stacks and stacks of goodies looking for something in my size. I highly recommend this type of shopping when you need a "fix" but don't have a lot of dough to spend. This thrift store is upkept well and the staff is friendly.
