Cute small place. Don't be fooled they do serve dinner and it great. They can host a small or big party just make sure to call ahead. BYOB and they don't rush you out . Prices are a bit high but the food does not disappoint. My suggestion try the apple cheese quesadillas as an appetizer. They also have a Piano player for you dinning pleasure.

My husband and I have been going here for the last few months. The coffee is awesome and the brunch portions are huge so go hungry. I have yet to try dinner but I've heard good things. Kid friendly, too...toys and books are on a shelf toward the back.

Pros: quaint, friendly atmosphere

Cons: tight seating

This small little hideaway is just the right spot for a good dinner but the finishing touch is really the scrumptious desserts. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff.

The Hinge Cafe is a great place to go and chill out. Their food is really good, not only is it prepared well it looks very appealing on the plate. I especially like the tasty chicken soup. The service has been promt and friendly.
There deserts are to die for, my favorite is the chocolate torte.. It is very rich and satisfing. Simone and "T" are friendly and very welcoming to the costomers. I have taken people from out of town there. I also enjoy the music that they provide. It is a great place to go and listen to unsigned indie music. The atmosphere is very nice and decortated soothingly. The lights are dimmed and the candles are lit, The color sceme is inviting and relaxing for an intimate evening.
The Hinge is a place that I would highly recommend visiting.

it a beautiful little cafe nestled in the up and coming Port Richmond area. The staff is really nice, and the food is awesome. Good portions and the menu is varied. I have been going for the last six months. I love it so much that we had even had an office party in the room they have upstairs. when i asked about the room, Simone, the owner told me that they even have live music on Thursdays and Fridays, so i went to check it out. great set up, being a musician myself. all and all, i give it a 10.

Pros: The food.

Cons: small, so it fills up quickly, make a reservation.

i have been going to hinge for a while now for just the cup of coffee and piece of cake, and a dinner here and there on occasion. recently (after not going in for dinner since the summer) my boyfriend and i went in for dinner and were told that there is a new chef. we were blown away by how great our meal was. so much so we went back the next night to try it out again. again, our meal was fantastic. we had the "shrimp le jon" both nights ( a jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon with a spicy dipping sauce), and i had the pork the second night that was incredible. the dinner menu changes weekly, so you get new choices every time you go in, which we love.
the decor is beautiful, the people are nice, and the food was excellent. all and all, i would highly reccomend you come here if you are looking to dine on the weekend (they only serve dinner then). bring a bottle of wine and enjoy!!
