The main draw at this restaurant is that they offer bison steaks. Yes, that's right, steak made from an American buffalo. Our business host who treated us to dinner there told us ahead of time that bison was of excellent quality and was leaner than beef. I tried a bison NY strip and it was very good as far as steak's go; however, I was expecting a sharper contrast in taste between bison and regular steak. I didn't notice a big difference, except that it was a little leaner. Later, when I told my wife about this, she somewhat seriously suggested "They probably just say its buffalo!"

Don't worry - if you prefer traditional steak, they essentially have a dual menu - all the steaks can be ordered in the beef variety or the bison variety. Atmosphere is elegantly casual - western decor with wood floors and white table cloths. Prices were a little high, but I didn't mind since I wasn't footing the bill.

In Short
Lots of mahogany, tin ceilings, metal crown molding and Arts and Crafts-style décor prevail at this casual, comfortable saloon, part of media mogul Ted Turner's domain. Beef and bison are king, and they're hand-cut…
