I went here after seeing it on Food Network. The food quality was superb. We ordered a pizza and also a lamb cheesesteak and both were delicious. I am glad that I discovered this place

...but I'm happy to at Joe Squared. I love that place, although the menu is ridiculously overwhelming; if you're like me, you will have a hard time ordering just one item. It's great for late-night dining with adventurous people who don't mind sharing...

This place is a diamond in the rough! Although it's located in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood, I would still highly recommend roughing it. The menu offers a wide variety of pizzas, risottos, and some of the best wings I've ever had. The wings are of a specialty variety, I believe I had some sort of asian spicy wings with lime... or something like that. Whatever they were, they managed to be both sublimely hot as well as flavorful. Pizzas come with a multitude of topping options, including such rarities as venison. The full bar mixes a mean drink, the atmosphere inside is comfy/cozy and friendly. They also host local artists and musicians.

The pizza at Joe2 is so fresh and light, that I could eat it all of the time! I love the fact that they have an extensive beer selection as well, and it's not your typical, bud, miller and so on type bar. The parking is a bit of a pain, but if you're able to make it over to North and Howard, I def recommend getting some Joe2 pizza!

I was a little suspicious of a Pizza place in what has been historically such a sketchy part of town. However upon my arrival I was astonished by how much this neighborhood had changed. Nobody asked me for money or tried to sell me illegal things. I was greeted by a group of suited businessmen at the door who opened if for me and guided me inside, where an genuinly friendly and helpful staff greeted me and sat me in under a minute. I was presented with a extensive (over 100 pizza toppings) and impressive menu. A bit overwelmed the chef came from the kitchen, even though the restaurant was packed, and recommended a few interesting options for a new comer (I had mentioned never having been there to the waiter). I settled on the special pizza, a chipotle beef and salsa pizza which, while a little spicier than I was expecting, was incredibly flavorful and will created. The dough was light and slightly tart, presenting a perfect balance between the heavier and sweet beef and the dampness of the salsa. Excellent and highly recomended.

Editorial from

Owner Joe Edwardsen likes his pizza with corners, which inspired his quirky restaurant's name. The pizza is the only thing that's square here, though. Eccentricity shows both in the building's colorful look---it's located in the Station…
