Big Apple Pancake Hse & Rstrnt

My review:I am writing this review pertaining to customer service, I encounteredat the Big Apple Pancake House, located in Hazel Crest, Illinois 60429. What transpired is that this resturant is visited periodically as we dine in at this resturant chain for our family dining pleasure. On Sptember 27, 2007. I visited this resturant, as we seated, the waitress appeared to be very bias as I had some concern with the communication, and how she treated a complaint that was addressed to her attention. What transpired, the order which was placed, one family member which asked her for French toast, stated that she did not eat whtie bread, for which the request was for Cinnamon Frech toast and the cook appeared to confuse the order with raisin french toast. After requesting to speak to the manager, the waitress insisted that thier was no substitution as the order was placed, during this time frame she was also very nasty tome as I asked about the soup content, as I like rosemary and basil, for which I felt she was prejudice because although she was black my request was out of place, she tried forcing white bread as we stated white bread is not in out diet. After checking out we again asked to speak to the manager for which, then we were told no manager was on duty, as the waitress was lying. Two times during our visit the grits were undercooked, and could not be consumed. This has happened at this location only. The Chicago Heights Big Apple Pancake house the food is always very good, however I have experienced, racial tention with other customers, and being ewatched by manager as several times, I have left tips, placed pennies in thier cup, and never did am nything to the staff, other than my travel times permitted me to dine near my shopping area.
