This garden is associated with the University of Pennsylvania. We have been going to Morris for over 5 years and it remains a quiet, peaceful place to hike, smell the flowers and learn something about nature. A lovely place to visit on autumn and fall afternoons. Can easily spend the entire day browsing through them. Only downside is the parking which is limited especially on busy days.

This is one of the best natural places that I like to go in the city. This Arboretum has lots of spots for you to sit and relax. They have their train displays which are amazing to watch when they are on with those little stations. The gift shop is a nice place where you can buy nice things. It is a great place to be among friends on a beautiful day.

PROS: beautiful place to be
CONS: none

This arboretum is wonderful in that it used to be an elegant estate with numerous planned gardens and outbuildings. There are paved pathways, making it easy to take kids in strollers or older folks with trick knees! We love to go when the train display is running. There are miniature train stations and other reproductions of local buildings of interest. Many of the trees and plantings are marked with their botanical name. They have a very small gift shop, which is a nice touch. I suggest taking a picnic lunch since there are several places to sit and eat.

I really enjoyed my visit to Morris Arboretum there are wide variety of different areas. There was a huge, wonderful train display with beautiful flowers and plants for the backdrop. There was interesting, abstract art sculptures all over the grounds. There were huge beautiful spacious areas filled with gorgeous, fragrant flowers. And also enough walking paths with educational postings along the way to keep me busy for an entire day. The eating area was a little pricey, but there are benches along the sides of the trails to sit and eat if you bring something from home.
