Katz Bagel Bakery

Katz Bagels in Chelsea Massachusetts are THE best. This bagel bakery has been around for 100+ years and I swear they have not changed a thing in all that time. They start cooking at 3AM and by 10AM you are lucky to find crumbs left to buy. So get in early. Oh, and if you happen to be near Katz in the wee hours of the morning they are open, you just might have to knock on the window to get the baker's attention - but he will sell you some hot piping bagels if you ask nice.

PROS: classic, good, best when fresh, bagels
CONS: located in a bit of a sketchy area
