We attempted to get reservations on a Saturday night, however the restaurant was booked. The owner could not have been more apologetic that he couldn't accomodate us, but suggested we come down anyway and he could possibly get us in within an hour. We took his advice, had a drink in the lounge and we were seated within 20 minutes.
Now the food ~ Amazing. Excellent flavors, highly efficient staff and the water boy was like a ninja, he would just appear out of nowhere when my glass was empty. I highly recommend the giant prawns that are stuffed with chorizo sausage and then wrapped in pancetta, absolutely fabulous!
The restaurant was busy, so it was a bit noisy, but we certainly could talk over the din. It's what you would expect of a very popular restaurant.
We will definitely be returning very soon!

We've been to Asado a number of times and have never left without thinking about how soon we could come back again. The atmosphere is just what we like in a restaurant -- great lighting, decor and bustle. But the food is what makes this restaurant one of our favorites. Highly recommended.

We recently visited Asado for dinner and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was was excellent and the service was very good. I read the review about the place being noisy but, what packed restaurant isn't a little loud? I loved it and would highly recommend it.

I was looking forward to eating here but was very disappointed. The place was noisy even before the evening rush. I was hungry, but as we entered the smell of tanned leather was overwhelming and I wanted to be sick. I realized the covers on the menus were what was making me ill. I can still smell it on my clothes, like being in a smoky bar.I did not try an entree, I felt I had already wasted enough time and money. I only wish I could email this directly to the owners

PROS: None
CONS: Overpriced food and a bad odor!

Asado offers what no other restaurant in Tacoma can: Argentine cuisine. Opened In November 2005, with a name meaning "roasted" in Spanish, Asado features meat and fish smoked over mesquite, along with generous salads and delicious chocolate desserts. Yucca fries go well with the chorizo sausage sandwich. Asado's so popular, reservations are a must. Prices are reasonable to moderate, with entrees in the $15 to $23 range. If you want a new and unique dining experience, this is the place to go!

PROS: Well-known local owners.
CONS: Noise level is a bit high.
