At the age of 45, I realized that I needed to try something new. I worked too much, ate the wrong things, and generally felt lousy. Further, whenever I had previously attempted to begin a self-directed work-out routine, it ended soon after due to soreness, minor injury, or crisis at the office. I needed help; and I decided that it was time to hire a personal trainer. Unfortunately, I didnt know how to make this decision.
I began by searching the internet; and in my quest I viewed multiple web-sites and web listings. Through little more than gut feeling, I narrowed the possibilities down to a manageable list and then I began to contact the finalists. Michael Sokol from One-on-One Fitness immediately impressed, as he began by first determining what my level of fitness was and what my goals were. Michael then described the services his firm offered, and specifically how he could help me to reach my goals. We talked about weight lifting strategies, recommended forms of aerobic exercise, and Michaels dietary rules that were sure to provide success! After answering all of my questions (and there were many!) thoroughly, I was sold; and I agreed to try One-on-One for three months. I cant tell what a great decision that was!
Shortly after our initial conversation, Michael introduced me to one of his trainers (Chris Rangel), and my training began in earnest. Chris began by having me perform a battery of exercises to determine my athletic ability, my strength and my stamina. He also, as Michael promised, provided several lectures concerning diet, stretching, and other relevant topics; effectively creating a comprehensive fitness program designed for me. As each week passed, Chris challenged me with varied and increasingly difficult workouts designed to achieve my various goals. Some weeks, the sessions were geared to increased strength, while others were geared toward flexibility and aerobic capacity. Either way, Chris always showed up on time, was always pre-prepared with a new and challenging work-out, and always had time to answer my many questions. Chris is unbelievable, and I am grateful for his efforts on my behalf!
In closing, let me say that I have accomplished much during these past three months, and I have re-upped for another 3 month package. Chris has exceeded every expectation that I had with respect to a training relationship, and I am thrilled with the progress I have made to date. Further, Michael has reached out to me on various occasions (often at the gym!) to make sure that all of my training needs were being addressed. I am truly a satisfied client, and I give One-on-One fitness my absolute highest recommendation! See you at the gym!
