This clinic is part of Mercy/ Unity Hosp. I thought they were good w/ most things; they don't make you wait long, most people are friendly. One lady saw me & just blurted out "Name?" I was embarassed for her, because she just seemed to be unfriendly & illmannered. Then there are others that are super friendly, in a genuine way. One thing that bothered me was that they didn't provide post surgery directions, in writing. I just wasn't able to focus, or remember what they were saying, it would've been nice to have it in writing. The other thing that bothered me was the little 'room' if you can call it that (3 walls, w/ one long curtain) that they have you prepare for surgery in, very little privacy, the nurse was telling me what I had to do ("get undressed, u can leave on....") The people in the surrounding rooms were watching, & listening. I felt like I was on stage, doing a hospital scene...it was terrible...kids, fathers, grandpas, and more all watching as she tells me what I need to do, I pull the curtain...even though I knew the curtain wasn't see through, I felt like they could see me....they knew what I was doing...she just told them...they could see my feet...anyway u get the picture... I didn't like it. Then a nurse comes in to ask about my health history, she said the anestegealogist ( I am sure I spelled that wrong) requires that they do a preg. test. (I don't think they want to 'put you under' if you are preg). She stressed that it is required, then they never did test to see if I was preg. Other than those things and the cost of an outpatient surgery these days, I thought things went well.
