So when you don't want to go to a chain bar/restaurant in TO, go to Crown and Anchor! They have full bar and food so it is "satisfactory", but it has no independent charm (e.g., nothing special here). Would not recommend.

Absolutely disgusting food and horrid service. Everything here is just frozen breaded junk thrown in the deep fryer...fish and chips tasted like fish sticks from the grocery store. Also they refused service to a friend of mine trying to use a passport as identification when a new law just went into affect this year in CA that a passport is acceptable ID for alcohol purchase...you would think people running an establishment serving alcohol would know these types of laws. Also the owner, an english gentleman named Russ with long, scraggly gray hair is a complete pervert. He was scamming on my female friends while we were just trying to enjoy a beverage. The man was intoxicated while working and I even saw him trying to grope one of the female bartenders in the corner!!! Hope his wife knows he's out behaving like this at work. Just a terrible experience all around.??

this is our local for us all at the office and we often come up here after work for get together and quiz night! we had so much fun and this fish and chips is the closest Ive had to British fish n chips- they are proper chips!! got to love the mushy peas too! and if you have a sweet tooth you have to have one here- crumble and custard for sure or if you like e'clairs you have to have the puff pastry filled with ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce! OMG- it's to die for- make sure you take someone with you to share it with- its a portion for sharing! It really does feel like a British pub and you even feel like you've got the beer garden outside too just like England- grab a Union Jack newspaper to read while your here and you will find so many other Brit places to go to too!

This place has the best fish and chips ever. It's a great British pub with a great atmosphere. It's always busy. The food is great and the beer is great and the service is friendly.

Found this place while on vacation and now go back year after year. The food is great, try the fish and chips or the braised sirloin of beef. It has something for everyone, live music, great sports coverage, great atmosphere and the staff are like old friends. Russ the bartender is a great guy and really makes you feel welcome....

Pros: Great ambience, good food, good service great English soccer

Cons: parking a bit difficult at weekends

Awful Fish and Chips, totally need to skip this place and go to Thousand Oaks Fish and Chips. This place looks like fun with a bar and all, but the crowd is older and paying $30 for two order of 3 pieces of fish seems like such a rip off and for it to taste bad. Over Cooked, frozen fish!

Pros: outdoor seating

Pretty good food, but the amount of dumb drunk kids on weekends will for sure make you want to leave if you are planning on a quiet night out, haha. But if you want a few beers and don't mind getting loud then it will work for you.

If you're craving some good pub dishes like fish & chips, steak and mushroom pie, etc, then this is your place. We eat here regularly, and enjoy many of the dishes. Chicken curry over french fries or rice is a staple, as is sourdough melt (hamburger) with bacon (yum). Scotch egg is an awesome cocktail snack. Salads and soups are really good too. Nothing glamorous or fancy about the food, but the dishes metnioned above are excellent. Fries are the best around.

I'm craving a Black and Tan and some bangers now.
