Western & Mexican Ctr

when we used to travel west every year, we stopped and shopped here as we loved Mexican and SOuthwest everything. My main purchases were the leather purses, that I bought for myself and lots of gifts back home. They were about 30 then, and here were selling for double that.. The family was always very nice to us.. We even bought jewelry there, and a beatiful hand embroidered Mexican blouse for me. Even called them one Christmas season to order 3 purses for more gifts. Wish we could go out there again!!!

There are all kinds of things outside in the street that invite you in for further scrutiny, but once you walk inside you have the sense that the owners do not take their eyes off you. I know it is not just me. There are several rooms inside and if you choose to go into one in which there is no employee suddenly you are joined by one who stands and looks at you. I've been in there several times and it happens to me every time and I must say I don't like it. It's the closest thing to a Mexican gift shop in Boulder City with the typical Mexican artifacts, but I would just rather forego them then be treated that way. They have a huge selection and if you don't know another place in the Vegas area you might enjoy it. They are a bit overpriced as well. Most other shops in the area sell things that are more antiquey.

PROS: A large selection of items.
CONS: I don't like the atmosphere of distrust.
