TOTAL RIPOFF!!!!!
My name is George and I would like to describe my terrible experience with Protech Automotive:
On 05/19/2014 Protech automotive charged me $1345, 13 for New AC DELCO injectors for my 99 Chevy express van. First the owner Vis quoted me $860 dollars but when I went to pick up my van he was not there and his son Pete said it will be $1345,13( $500 more). They Totally Ripped me off on labor since the part cost only $450 at the Chevy dealership (I called them later) and i had no other choose but to pay.
Few months later my check engine light came on and it turn out to be the same code and problem- bad fuel injectors. I immediately called Protech automotive and explained the situation (at that time I moved to Dallas) and he said he cannot do anything but the part is covered by 1 year manufacture warranty and had to send it to him.
On 11/04/14 I changed the fuel injectors at reputable repair shop in Garland, TX (paid only 482, 23 parts and labor) and everything was fixed.
Few days later I went to Ac Delco retail shop to return the defective part for refund and it turn out that IT WAS NOT "AC DELCO" INJECTORS but "STANDART" INJECTORS( much cheaper) - Another Lie.
I called "Standard parts" customer service toll free number several times ( they have very rude employees) to be told they cannot refund anything because it was not purchased by me and must go through the repair shop who bought it - Protech Automotive.
The owner Vis was hiding many times and finally when I was able to reach him I was told to send it to him for refund. I did send the defective part to Protech Automotive in Kemah, TX via USPS with signature confirmation.
On 1/7/2015 I spoke with the owner Vis and he said they never received anything and when I told him I have proof from USPS delivery conformation from their address, he hang up on me.
These people are shame for the automotive Industry!
PLEASE BEWARE, STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND NERVES!

Work on the brakes of my Ford Focus is defective. I dropped off the car on 12/09/08 and I picked the car up on 12/11/08. Within one day, the car developed a very slight squealing sound from the brakes. I stopped by, I was told that this was "normal for new after-market brakes" and would soon go away. We took a trip to San Antonio on 12/18/08 and returned on the 21st. By that time the squealing sound of was unbearable and much worse than before we brought the car in. When I went back to the shop, they were closed for the holiday. I returned with the car on the of 12/29/08, explained the problem and left the car. They called me that afternoon and told me the car was fixed. When I got there, I was told that they had ground down the brake drums because that style brake could not be turned because it had a bearing.
They said that they were OK now and would make just a slight sound. Again, because they were after-market brakes. Within a few hours, the brakes started to make a slight grinding sound. By this time I no longer trusted them and decided to get another opinion. The next morning, I took the car to Champion Ford Gulf Freeway for a complete brake inspection. They showed me the brake drums. This inspection showed they were severely damaged by a "grinding wheel of some kind". They could no longer be turned becaused they were butchered beyond repair and would have to be replaced. The grinding marks looked like they were from a small hand-held rotary grinding tool. Having been to that shop twice for the repairs needed on my vehicle, I no longer have confidence in their work. The grinding sound today is loud just like I need new brakes. I am requesting $544.94 for new brake drums and shoes. If I have not heard back from them within a 10 day period, I will have no choice but to conclude that they do not wish to cooperate with me in this matter. Litigation will then be filed against them. I can assure them that the estimate will be brought forth as an exhibit in my seeking repayment for damages. All of this can be avoided by paying either to myself or the Ford dealership the requested amount for repairs and damages.
Also note that when I picked up my car the first time they charged me about $50 for new windshield wipers that I never asked for. I didnt complain about it because I was glad to have my brakes fixed. Little did I know.

We found protech in a round-a-bout way in a bit of a pinch, but know now that it was meant to be.My daughter was going to school in the area when her a.c. went out.We did not have any contacts in the area to lead us to a recommended shop. After pulling in to a NTB,they gave her a card for Protech, and we are glad they did. They are the nicest people who took care of my daughter. They charged her air one day right before closing when another nearby shop,(Kaferhaus) turned me away over the phone while I was searching for someone to take care of my daughter, and got her by until the first of the week.Protech checked out her system and found the compressor to be leaking badly, gave her a quote under NO pressure,at a very fair price.I called and talked to the owner and felt very confident by the end of the discussion. My daughter took her car in the next week and the owners wife even came in early and took her to work. The price ended up being even less than was quoted. How many times does that happen????We got a one year warranty on the work as well. They did an excellent job and were SO nice to my daughter and put her at ease. Thank you so much Protech!! I could not have asked for more.
