Utopia Management

We currently live in Florida however we r using Utopia to manage our unit in the College area. We just want to say Thank you to our property manager Krista and the maintenance department. You make our lives so much easier. We really appreciate it.

I am extremely happy with the service I've gotten from Utopia. I am a property owner and brand new to the rental game, but Krista took the time to explain everything to me in detail and gave great suggestions based on her experience. And, they ended up finding a well qualified renter within just a few days. Which was really nice because I was getting tired of paying mortgage and rent. I can really tell that they care, and am looking forward to a long relationship with them while I rent my condo.

Thanks for renting out my condo so quickly. I am writing out this review as a way of saying thanks for doing such a great job. I was still living in the condo when utopia rented out the condo. They were so good about setting up an appointment and they never let my cat out. I feel very secure letting them handle my condo while I am out of the country for the next 2 years.

I just moved to San Diego and i was having the hardest time trying to find a place to live. I finally decided to use a property management company and Utopia was highly recommended to me. From the moment i called they were extremely friendly and helpful. They were very efficient with returning my phone calls and answering any questions i had. I was in my new place before i knew it. They made finding a home very easy and stress free for me. I would definitely use this company again!!

I recently purchased a foreclosed home as an investment property. I also needed to find a property management company with the background & experience to handle renovating it & renting it out. To have a management company care is so important. I know this because recently my apartment complex in North Park has needed a lot of costly work done. If I would not have had the support from Utopia Management I would not have been able to get the work done. The expense was great but Utopia Management allowed me to make monthly payments and take the proceeds out of the rental income as well. I just want them to know I appreciate the loyalty and support.

I never write reviews about companies unless it's to warn people, but I had to let renters know that there are people in the rental industry that take pride in their work.
My family & were transfered here by the military, and rented a townhouse in the Tierrasanta area from Utopia Management.
Over the course of the next three years, we called called in or emailed various requests for repairs. Each request was quickly replied with a phone call or email to schedule an appointment at our earliest convience. The workers that were sent, were courteous, prompt and completed each repair.
After finally moving into military housing recently, I realized how much I had come to expect that prompt service.
Utopia keep up the great service to all & especially the military families !

I just recently rented from Utopia Management. I just wanted to say how convenient the company has made renting. Not only was I able to go on line and apply for the apartment, but I was able to view the apartment over the weekend. I live in Virginia and it has been difficult finding a place to rent in California. I have been dealing with Krystine at Utopia Management and she has been the most helpful person I have dealt with through the entire renting process! She actually talked with me and gave me useful information about the property and the surrounding neighborhoods. That was very important to me, as I am moving from out of state, not being able to see any properties in person. She was very friendly and helpful and I look forward to renting with this company!

My husband and I needed to find a rental in a very short amount of time. I came across an ad of Utopia Managements and they returned my phone call in a timely manner. When I informed the agent of our limited amount of time she crammed her schedule to get us in to see rentals as soon as possible. We ended finding a great home in a great area and still had enough time to schedule movers. I needed to move my family asap and i found utopiamanagement.com. I saw the house and was moved in within 2 days. Everyone else said it takes 5 days and I could not wait that long. Utopia got it approved and I had my house in 2 days My family and I thank you.

Utopia takes care of us every time. We have been living in one of their rentals for 2 years and anytime something comes up the maintenance staff is right there to handle it. The staff is friendly and responsive, it is a pleasure to rent from them.

Utopia has the most selection of propertys in san diego, so when i had to relocate to san diego it was no question i was going to contact Utopia. I recently rented an apartment with Utopia...I can't believe how easy it was.

I called ...they set an appointement for me to see the place over the weekend. I loved it! The girl took my application right there.

On Monday she called & said I was approved. She made an appointment for me to come to their office in Kearney Mesa that week. When I got there everthing was ready for me. I paid my deposit and rent...and they gave me the keys. It was great!

I own a couple of homes in the San Diego area which are currently managed by Utopia Management, i live out the country so picking a management company for me was extremely important being that i am rarely in th area, i would like to say that i am extremely happy with their services. I needed to rent an apt and I had nocar to sign the lease. I borrowed a car and it broke down. I call Utopia and they came and got me so I could sign the lease. I needed to go to the bank to get a cashiers check to pay the rent and deposit and she took me to her bank so I could get this done. Once we got to the office she was so nice she even bought me and my girlfriend a soda. After we signed the lease we needed bus money and she gave me $5.00. Thanks to utopia I have a place to live.

I moved from the east coast to san diego not knowing anything about San Diego or the best areas to live in, i was in the search for a new home and only had one week to do so Utopia Management Staff where very proffesional and extremely prompt i was very imppressed they practically moved me in. Utopia handled my business as if i was the only person they where working with i am extremely impressed and reccomend Utopia to everyone whos looking for a new home .

I had been renting a house from Utopia since 2005 and recently some extensive work was going to be done on house I was living in and I would have to move out. We are currently renting a property with Utopia Management located in Oceanside. Our agent with Utopia showed us different properties in the area and helped us find a house we really like in our price range. Since we moved in six months ago they have been helpful whenever we have any questions. The maintenance department is easy to work with. They have resolved any problems quickly and both the staff in the office and the maintenance personnel that have come out to the property have been friendly and professional. We really appreciate Utopia and hope to stay here and continue renting for a long time.

I had purchased a 10 unit apartment building before retiring & wanted to find a property management company that would not just rent the units, but would also look out for my best interest. I tried several companies that failed, until I was referred to Utopia Management by an insurance agent. I have been with this company for 9 months now, & at first I was a bit hesitant to follow their recommendations in renovating the vacant units. I decided to give them a chance, & they have been able to get better quality tenants, who in turn take better care of my investment. This I hope is the begining of a long term relationship, and I gladly recommend them to anyone that is interested in the rental market, regardless if they are the landlord or tenant.

I have been renting in and around San Diego for many years now. During this time, I have worked with numerous management companies. They all seemed to have their issues except for Utopia. I have been extremely happy with their service and when I look for my next place I will definitely use them.

I have rented & lived in different areas, and most of the companies are the same with regards to gettting things fixed. Most of the time, after weeks of waiting, you call to find out whats going only to told to be patient or that nothing will be repaired. I recently rented a home with Utopia Management, and upon moving in had a list of items that needed be repaired. I not only called it in to the office, I also faxed my list. The very next day, I received a phone call from a gentlemen that wanted to schedule an appoitment ASAP to make the needed repairs. He was on time, was very polite & made the repairs in a quick & efficient mannner. He went over what he did & why & asked if there was antyhing else he should look at before leaving. The next day I received a follow up phone call from maintenance department, to make sure everything had been completed.
I want to point out that this experience has made me realize that not all rental companies are the same, this one actually cares.

Utopia has the best Property Managers with an Outstanding Customer Service i was in need of Renting a new home right away, Utopia was fast and efficient they moved me into a beautiful home , any question's or problems i have they are efficient assisting me. I have used other Proerty Manegement Company's in the past but Utopia by far is the BEST!!!! in San Dieg!!!!

I have been renting from Utopia in the North Park area for a little over four years. I have had a lot of good experiences with renting from this company. Having been a renter for many years I know how some companies just don't care about the renter all they care about is if they get the rent. That is NOT the case with Utopia Managment when ever I have had a problem with my home they sent someone to take care of it right away and when I hit some hard times about a year ago my Manager worked out arrangements with me until I could get back on my feet again instead of just kicking me and my family out on the street. I recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a company who cares.

We were nervous about renting our property because we had heard stories about properties that were damaged by renters. This company is using property managers that are unlicensed. In the state of California you must have a license to be a property manager. Contact the California Department of Real estate and let them know. Contact your property manager and ask them for their real estate license number.

Just recently my husband and I moved to San Diego from Arizona. I have been through so many different property management companies and Utopia Management has been the most helpful. My husband and I love working with them. We have now been renting from them for about four months and have had a pleasant business with them. I would recommend them to everyone I know.

I have been very happy with Utopia since renting our condo with them six months ago. We had to move and Utopia has been prompt with sending us our funds and having direct deposit has made a big difference to us since I am out of the country. Thank you for the great service and always responding to us in a prompt and professional manner.

We as owners have been with Utopia a little over 8 months. We love the quick responses that we receive from our property manager. A perfect example of this is today, we emailed her at about noon and within a 1/2 hour she responded to us. Thanks for all of your hard work!

I have never had to rent my condo until recently and since I am in the Military I needed someone to help me. I found Utopia to be very professional and they took care of the maintance got the place painted and cleaned. What happened was I had ordered something that was on back order and I forgot about it when I moved out. The tenants called Utopia and they went out picked up what I ordered. It was so nice to know that there is an office for me to go to that is open regular business hours and I was able to pick up my package. I am pleased with the type of people that Utopia has working for them, I could count on them.

I recently went to a showing and I must say the property manager really took the time to show us around the place and had the answers to all of our questions and concerns. We have looked at many other properties and we did not receive the treatment as we did with Utopia, and from that experience we rented the property from them.

I live out of state and have owned property in San Diego for more than fourteen years. Utopia Management has been my Property Managers for a little of three years, choosing them as a Management Company is one of the best decisions I've made I wish I would have done it long ago. I used to have to fly to San Diego several times a year to make sure my property was being maintained but now that I am with Utopia I don't have to. They are doing a wonderful job, from the Resident Manager they have placed at the property, the helpful accounting department to my reliable Property Manager and her assistant this company works as a team to make sure my property as well as my tenants are taken care of. My husband and I spent a good 45-minutes reviewing the contract before signing, and everything in the contract was legal, fair, straight-forward and the font type was Pica 12 (not Pica 8 where one can hardly read the fine print).

I am one of those people that lost my home due to forecloser. I make enough money to rent a place but I could'nt afford my mortgage payment. Utopia was there to help me whrn I told them I was being foreclsoed on that it messed up my credit. Krista stepped in an approved my rental application for a house in El Cajon. Everyone else seemed to think I was a bad person because I could'nt make my mortgage payment but not Utopia. I moved from out of state and was completly new to California and the San Diego County and needed assistance finding a new home, I searched Utopia Managment and contacted them immediatly . They were extremely professional ,prompt and offered me and my family execeptional customer service, we were moved in within a week to a beutiful home in a great community. I was very satisfied not only with Utopia but with there highly trained personnel they where very efficient in returning my callls to any un answered questions me or my family had. I highly reccomend Utopia, they are quick , efficient, professional and offer great customer service. They made my moving experience so much easier and pleasent and completly stress free. First of all, we are a military family and have rented from many companies during out 14 years of service. We've had nothing but problems form day one. If you think they are hard to get in contact with before you rent from them, just wait until you've signed the contract. The house we moved into was filthy and were told our "standards were to high"... I guess animal urine and feces are normal?!?! So we spent two days cleaning before we could move our things in. They didn't give us any information on the water and trash service so we asked for it when we returned our move-in sheet and we were told "if it wasn't given to you when you signed the lease, it means they're included"... HaHa!!! Three months later.... we get the bills in the mail and are told to pay a $50.00 fee along with it. After calling and requesting the $50 fee be waived and explaining WHY the utilities had not been switched... were told "she gave you wrong information, read your lease agreement". Then to top it off, when we called to switch the water... it wasn't possible because the owner didn't sign the paperwork. Now Utopia is trying to charge us 7% of our rent for not paying the utilities that we were told were "included" in out rent!!! NIGHTMARE!!!

It's good know that I'm finally working with people who know what they are doing. They are very organized in how they run business and also very professional. They don't have just that one person doing 3 or 4 jobs. They have sufficiant amount of people in different deparments doing what they do. I was with another management company and I had left because I was tired of working with people that don't care about my rental home like Utopia does. Also the last place felt like I was working with commission based sales people who try and gimick you into signing a contract and Utopia isn't like that at all. It's very relaxed and they gave me all the information and the time to think my options through before signing anything. They even gave me a no-obligation consultation appointment and came out to my house to meet with me. For Free!!! I didn't feel like they were rushing me when I had questions or make me feel stupid for asking them. The other thing I like about them is that they are very honest with you and stright forward. I don't have any surprises with Utopia. The last company spent my money on only God knows what and they wouldn't give me anything on paper showing where the money went. Here, I get an itemized monthly statement and they even email it to me simply because I asked. The first girl, Diana, was friendly and knowledgable when I spoke with her on the phone and she really paid attentioned to details. I actually had forgotten to leave her my other phone number one time and she was able to called me back. I like that they are very organized. Lynn's the other lady and she was the one that came out to meet with me at my house. She was friendly and really told me how things were. She didn't try to lie to me to sign anything and she really helped me get my home ready to rent for the top dollar value. I had questions about everything and she had an answer. A good answer!!! They work really well as a team and I'm really looking forward to working with my property manager. I feel like I can really trust them with my house. With Utopia I really feel like they are working for me and not the other way around. It's such a good feeling to get the weight off of my shoulders and placing it in the hands of a professional like Utopia Management.

I am using (but ready to fire) Utopia to management my home and they have been a headache ever since we signed the contract. The information regarding my property listed on their website was incorrect. It took days and days of leaving messages before they returned my call. My account manager was so ignorant that she told me I had to pay management fee on the tenant deposit when it was clearly stated on their website and my contract that it was based on collected revenue. The monthly statements were incorrect; I was doubled charged for items for a few months. They revised the contract without the owner's knowledge and the new contract has numerous fees added; half of the contract was different from the previous version.
