I currently have a African Grey on layway (since he is still being weaned) at A Parrots Cove and I have to say that my experience so far has been great!
They have a new location which is awesome and very clean. Before commiting to A Parrots Cove, we went to several stores and nothing compares to a Parrots Cove. The store is always very clean. I just love the visiting area where my husband and kids can sit and visit with our parrot. I try to visit our African Grey 3-4 times a week and I wondered to myself if if I should not visit my baby so much, BUT Andrea, the owner, made it a point to tell not to feel like we are a bother. To visit with my baby every day because its good for him. That being said, says a lot about the store and people that work there.
I love this store and can not wait to bring, Jack, our African Grey home.

I have purchased two large macaws from the Parrots Cove. My husband and i shopped around and checked out several parrot stores in the surrounding area before investing in our babies. The store is very clean, and Andrea is very knowledgeable. Healthy parrots who are socialized and parents who understand what their new babies need is her number one priority. Her staff is very knowledgeable about the parrots and any problems that came up when we got them home, she was always available. i cannot say enough good things about this store. They have any toy you can imagine, and a vast array of food and the expertise to help you make the best possible choices.
I got a yellow nape amazon from a parrots cove he is 11 months old and is the sweetest thing you will ever find. His vocabulary is already amazing and he is great with my 5 year old son. They have the greatest selection of toys and i would recommens A Parrots Cove to anyone wanting sweet handfed babies with great customer service.
Pros: Sweetest babies i have found
I bought an African Grey parrot from another (un-named) shop and had nothing but problems. The bird died one week after I got it home. A friend recommended a Parrots Cove so I went there and looked around. I was impressed that the birds were so sweet and healthy. I was a little afraid to invest my money and my heart into another bird, but being in the store and talking with the people there reassured me. I chose another African Grey. He was only 2 months old so they wouldn't let me take him home until he was weaned, so I put him on layaway and visited him 2-3 times a week. Any time I had questions, they answered them. It was so different from my previous experience with my first Grey. My baby, Simon, is now 9 months old and he is AWESOME. The vet gave him a clean bill of health and remarked how social he is. He's starting to talk more & more each day! I could not have wished for a better bird and I have a Parrots Cove to thank for him. I would definitely recommend a Parrots Cove to anyone who's looking for a parrot...or cage, toys, whatever...they have it all. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!
Pros: Knowledgeable & helpful staff. Healthy, sweet birds, Clean store...too many pros to name
Cons: I live in sugarland so it took a while to get there...I wish they had a store down my way.
Purchased bird from A Parrots Cove with illness. Will not honor warranty. Blames the vet THEY recommended instead of taking ownership of problem. According to vet, all documented cases of this illness have happened in bird to bird contact only and I do not have another bird. Could have only come from this store or their breeder.
Pros: Lots of birds to choose from
Cons: Expensive and will not honor written warranty!
