I was quite satisfied. The price was right and the job was done perfect. Great small business. I think they import directly which saves money.

Pros: Looks great and cheaper then the big box stores

Selection slim - maybe 5 colors. warehouse is dark and hard to pick color - picked slab in about 10 seconds since a guy had to hold the 1,000 slab on his back (slabs were supposed to been moved.) We like the granite but realize we should have picked something that we loved at a store that had bigger selection. Contacting the company was a pain - answering machine always picked up and sometime a female who spoke limited English. People were nice but wasnt comfortable with service. After the granite was put in we never heard from the company to even see if we were happy. Competitive prices but in the end you get what you pay for.

This is a "mom & pop" and unfortunately have no business etiquette. The first visit to my house was promised at 9am, but I received a phone call at exactly 9am canceling the appointment. After the 2nd visit, Garcias had to come back to my house and make a template of my kitchen. They were 45 minutes late for this appointment. I was willing to overlook this because I had been to their warehouse, met the owner and thought that I was doing business with "good people".

After paying a deposit for granite, Garcias was virtually impossible to contact as no one ever answers the office telephone. I understand they are in the back cutting granite, but not returning phone calls after 3 days in my book is unacceptable. It took 1 1/2 weeks to schedule installation and we did not find out until 4pm (one of my many calls b/c Garcias does not return phone calls) the day before installation what time the crew would arrive. I was told by Mr. Garcias himself that the crew would arrive between 9am-10am. Well, 10:00am came & went. At 10:40, I started calling the office every 1/2 hour without an answer and left 3 messages. At 12:00, just after my last message I received a call from Mr. Garcias son. He not once apologized for the delay, but told me that the "guys were going to eat lunch and would then head to my house and be there by 1:00pm and that he would have his father contact me when he got back from lunch?. The 2 man crew arrived at 1:45pm. Overall, we were satisfied with our granite, although our sink is off centered slightly. Garcias also installed a new sink. However, per the Garcias all we would have to do is hook up our faucet. Not the case ?? the garbage disposal was unhooked, the pipes were left disconnected. Not able to contact Garcias?imagine my surprise! $175 later to a plumber?Four days later I ran my dishwasher and it made a horrible scraping noise. I called Garcias and lo and behold Mr. Garcia himself answered the phone. He was very flippant about my dishwasher issue and since I had him on the phone, I told him I had been waiting since Friday for his follow-up call and it was now 4 days later and I was calling him. I told him that I was satisfied with my granite but utterly disappointed with their customer service. I explained that I had taken off work and wasted 4 hours waiting when I could have taken a vacation day and met them at 1:30. Mr. Garcia never once apologized throughout our conversation until I told him that was all I was looking for. He then said ??I apologize? in a very, very condescending tone and then started to raise his voice at me. I asked him not to raise his voice & he hung up on me!! I had two neighbors who loved my granite and had called for estimates for their kitchen. Needless to say, they have since decided not to work with this company. I am writing a review on every website, telling every person I know to never ever contract Garcias Stoneworks for work. Undependable, unprofessional?the list goes on. Beware of this company.
