I used to shop at the old location across Colonial next to the LA Fitness. It was cramped and the selection of clothes wasn't always great. But now, this store is fantastic! It is twice the size and the quality and style of the clothing

...and go DIRECTLY to Dechoe's Resale Emporium! Great current, quality and vintage pieces. Purchase of your items on the spot, featuring cash or store credit options. 3 Locations. A recycle heaven! Carey is the original clotheshorse & knows her stuff!

Cons: limited to mostly mainstream pre-teen clothing

I love to shop at Platos' Closet, but I haven't been back since my horrible experience of trying to sell clothing. Their ads say they want "gently used" name brand clothing. I brought in 2 bags of clothes (times are tough). The chick behind the counter (about 18-20 yrs old) was completely stuck up about my clothes. She literally scoffed and stuck her nose up when she asked when I bought them, as if I keep an account of the dates I buy things? She refused my clothing even though the clothes were all GUESS, LEI, and other name brands that they sell in the store. It made me feel COMPLETELY uncomfortable. My general feeling is that the place is run by sorority chicks who are stuck up and think they're too good for anybody.

Just paid my first visit to Plato's Closet recently. I didn't know the target consumers for the store were woman in their teens and 20s. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see women of all ages shopping there. All of the Sales Associates were very friendly and outgoing. Everyone as greeted as they entered the store. I loved the fact that the clothing, to a large extent, was grouped not only by size, but by color, too. One entire wall was nothing but tops - tshirts, tanks, etc. And there are shoes, too. Definitely the place to go if you want to buy some fun clothes for the summer and don't want to spend a lot of money!!

PROS: Large selection of fun clothes at low prices
CONS: Teeny clothes for teens
