I have frequented the Sanctuary Day Spa in Murray over the last few years. My massages have always been wonderful, and so have the facials. I had a spa gift card from Christmas for $50 and decided to use it for a manicure.

WOW. I had a facial and massage given to me as a birthday present. The day of the spa visit was actually a nice one. The spa seemed clean and in order, my massage was really very nice however the facial left so much to be expected. I was NOT asked if I was allergic to anything and 3 days after my spa visit I looked like Will Smith in the movie Hitch. My entire face, ears, arms and legs were completely covered in large, itchy hives. After over $80 in doctor visits and perscriptions, I called Sanctuary to talk to the girl who did my facial. I was hoping she could tell me what was in the products she used during the facial so that I would know from now on what I was allergic to. She was arrogant and rude on the phoe. She advised me that NO ONE had EVER been allergic to the facial products and acted as though I was making the situation up. I explained how I was upset with the situation, didn't want anything from the spa but an apology and to know what ingredients were in the products for future knowledge. She acted completely put out and told me that there were hundreds upon hundreds of ingredients in the product, that she'd have to go search for the bottle and there were too many to read off. Then she told me if I wanted to know what I was allergic to, I should go see a allergen doctor. Well, thanks alot Sanctuary, thanks for the crappy customer service, a half way WEAK apology and a taste of how arrogant and rude some people can be. Someone needs to teach these girls some manners! When you are in the customer service business and there is a problem, YOU APOLOGIZE AND MAKE IT RIGHT! I for one will never re-visit and will not recommend Sanctuary to anyone!

It was my first time to this spa and I went in for a pedicure. The spa part of the pedicure was fantastic: relaxing, refreshing and rejuvenating. The woman who did my pedicure was very personable and nice. It ended up being a lot of fun to talk with her!

Once I made it home, though, I noticed that my toe nails were misshaped and the toe nail polish job wasn't spa quality. I called and spoke to the manager right away. She was very attentive and courteous and scheduled me for a touch-up the next day. I was scheduled with a different employee and she reshaped and painted my toes. They now look fantastic. This spa wasn't perfect the first time, but was very accommodating and fixed the problem. That, in my opinion, says a lot about the company.

I had an outstanding experience! The receptionists were very friendly and professional, the facilities were very luxurious and relaxing, my therapist was very kind upon meeting me. My massage started with a relaxing food bath and rub. I was then led to my massage bed which was waiting for me with warm padding and towels. I was left in complete privacy to undress to my comfort level and slip under the cover sheet. I swim and weight train and cross train 6 days each week. I came in to have my shoulders and traps optimally rehabilitated. My therapist did an outstanding job! After the massage, I spent another 30 minutes in the steam room and another 15-30 minutes in a private hot shower. I would say I was there close to an hour and a half and the experience cost me $40. It was well worth $60, so I tipped my therapist $20. I will be returning there on regular intervals.

Good prices, excellent service, total relaxation! What else could you ask for? I've had several different treatments here and loved them all. Everyone has always been extremely attentive and professional. I love the fact that an hour massage is a full 60 minutes plus you get a foot massage. The steam room in the locker room is a great way to finish off the day. I've never felt rushed, I always spend a good 2 hours there. For the people who had a bad experiance I hope you give it another try. I go quite frequently and have never had a bad experiance.

This company has the biggest head for such poor customer service and physical services they perform. They talk about their continued education, which let me tell you consists of each other sitting in a circle talking bad about other salons. They have no clue what they are doing and say bad things about customers after they have left. I will never go back and nor will I try any of their other spa's around town. If you are thinking of getting services there, you'll be better off going to any other Aveda spa ( Aveda @ Fashion Place) except Sanctuary!

I saw the Sanctuary Day Spa on "Good Day Utah" and they were showing their couples room and the couples treatment from their massage therapists. I decided to give them a try and am so happy that I did. I chose the Sanctuary in their new location downtown at the gateway. From the moment my husband and I walked in to the moment we left, we felt soooo pampered. The couples room is amazing.. it was so warm and inviting. The therapists were very well trained and structured their massages to our specific needs.

I would recommend this place to anyone!

I saw the Sanctuary Day Spa on "Good Day Utah" and they were showing their couples room and the couples treatment from their massage therapists. I decided to give them a try and am so happy that I did. I chose the Sanctuary in their new location downtown at the gateway. From the moment my husband and I walked in to the moment we left, we felt soooo pampered. The couples room is amazing.. it was so warm and inviting. The therapists were very well trained and structured their massages to our specific needs.

I saw the Sanctuary's "professional" team on "Good Things Utah." It seemed like a no-brainer to me that I should give them a try, considering I get facials every month. Upon my arrival, there was five different girls behind the desk, and it took more than a few moments for any of them to acknowledge my presence. They only acknowledged me after they were done with their heated personal conversation. I told them I was here for an appointment, and no one seemed to be responsible to take me down and then a young lady named Ashley finally decided that she would take care of me. Upon entering the locker room, there were no robes in any of the lockers and the young lady had to go search for one. When she came back, she forgot my slippers and it took her another couples of minutes to find some, and when she gave them to me, they were dripping water. The young lady did not ask me if I wanted a drink, nor did she apologize for the inconvenience of the locker room situation. I had never been there before and the young lady did not guide me as to where I should go or what I should do. I waited in the locker room until an older lady came in and asked me if I needed anything, introducing herself by the name of Lucy. I told her I didn't know what to do, and told her I was here for a facial. She took me out to the waiting area and offered me a glass of water, apologizing for my inconvenience and saying that my aesthetician would be with me shortly. My aesthetician arrived and did not introduce herself, saying that I had been late(which I hadn't...I had been waiting in the locker room) and that she did not have time to do my foot soak. The facial was okay, but she talked about herself and her two girls the entire hour. She did not explain any of the products to me, and when I came up to check out, there was a huge basket waiting for me to purchase. I did not purchase anything and will not be returning to the Sanctuary anytime soon.
