This is one of my favorite places to eat. However, every time I ask for a Booster and Sara waits on me, she makes some lame excuse as to why she can't make it. Most of the time it is "we are out of hot sauce". We went yesterday and I requested a Booster, was given the lame excuse of "we are out of hot sauce" and lo and behold as I was walking outside, a big ole bottle of hot sauce was sitting on the condiment cabinet. I took it up and put it right next to the cash register where she was and she just looked at me like, "and?" I asked one of the other wait staff why she does this and they replied that she "only wants to be a cashier". Sara, if you don't want to serve your customers, go be a cashier at Randall's. Other than that the rest of the staff is WONDERFUL and the crepes are unsurpassed!

Having spent a year living just upstairs I??ve spent some serious time at CoCo??s outdoor tables simply reading, working or watching the world go by. It was a wonderfully convenient place to have in my apartment building and I miss it. In addition to the standard espresso bar, CoCo??s offers up creative smoothie blends, Italian sodas, gelatos, chocolates and of course, crpes. I??ve actually tried every single one of these and was always pleased. The savory crpes are a particularly surprising treat since the Middle Eastern background of the owners has resulted in some creative spices and combinations.
The Coco??s experience is so deliciously pleasant that I don??t even mind the way they refer to crme anglaise as ??crme brule sauce? and that says a lot coming from me. Okay, maybe it does bother me a bit, but I wouldn??t let it stop me from eating there!

Went there on a Wednesday (around 12) and it wasn't too packed. Ordered two different crepes... one had smoked salmon, capers, and cream cheese and the other one had raspberry sauce, strawberries, bananas, and chocolate mousse. Both were very appetizing! Decided to try out their coffee and I was pleasantly surprised... their Iced White Chocolate Mocha wasn't too sweet or "syrup"-y tasting. The staff is also friendly. I just wish they'd expand the eating area or at least update the interior. But overall, it was a very good experience!

I only gave 4 stars because the inside isn't too pretty.

I LOVE the Sweet crepes # 5...the one with strawberries/banana/white chocolate mousse and raspberry sauce....and to top that off I always add a scoop of french vanilla on top! I also like their savory crepes for lunch...the one that's chicken, mushrooms, spinach or whatever...I think it's #1...can't remember. IT beats eating pasta! Just thinking about their crepes makes my mouth salivate! The only downside is parking...especially at night. One time I drove around the area three times trying to find parking (Friday night)....after those several attempts, I ended up just driving ten miles back home!!

nice place. I like the outdoor seating. of courses their specialty is their crepes. So try them, the filled mushrooms crepes or the sweet. they have great food and good food choices.the people are nice and friendly. if you don't like to deal with traffic go ahead and visit coco's during the week. if traffic is not a problem for you then weekends would be great.

Cons: parking can be difficult.
Pros: great place, good food

This small, quaint restaurant has THE MOST AMAZING crepes.....yummy! I love all of them that have chocolate in them. I have yet to find any other place in Houston that makes crepes as delicious as Coco's. You definitely need to try this place.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I AM A BIG CREPE LOVER. AS WELL AS COFFEE, WE GO PROBABLY 3 TIMES IN A MONTH GREAT HANGOUT SPOT. EMPLOYEES ARE FRIENDLY, BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL THE FOOD IS GREAT. MY FAVORITE IS THE ALMODINE CREPE, WHICH IS NUTELLA WITH ALMONDS. Great place for Lunch or just a late snack.

Crepes really were the best. Gelato instead of ice cream are excellent additions to the dessert crepes. Atmosphere was nice, like a good coffee shop. Owner is from Maui, so he uses Kona coffee beans. Quality was great.

I use to love this place ! Until, there was this unfavorable aroma that infiltrated my 10am crepe one beautiful fall Saturday morning. The owner was notified by another patron and as par for money-hungry-I don't want to loose any $'s owners--he did not really do anything.

Thus I will not be returning and neither will my 5 friends who were with me.

...and by the way, who smokes a cigar at 10 in the morning?

This casual restaurant and coffee bar with counter ordering perfectly fit the bill for me. The decor is simple, and clean. I am not all that comfortable in some of the other restaurants I found that served crepes, but when I saw all the great reviews of CoCo's I had to check it out. Truly, visually there is really nothing to speak of. It looks slightly more dressed up than a Shipley's Do-Nuts store, and the chairs are not all that comfortable, but the crepes are without words great!!! I had a savory crepe with chicken (which was moist) spinach (which was fresh) and mushroom sauce (which was delicious and smooth). The crepe itself was large and filled with plenty of ingredients. It more than filled me up (and I can eat a lot) I also had a "caramel crisp" coffee drink (caramel latte on ice) which was sweet, but not too sweet and not at all bitter unlike most coffee drinks at that HUGE chain coffee house. Not only will I return, but I have already started telling my friends about how good this place is. If you plan to visit CoCo's...have reasonable expectations. The staff was counter staff, not service oriented, the decor is slightly lacking, but the crepe was wonderful. I can't wait to go back and try a sweet crepe and maybe one of their flavored Italian sodas. Yum.

I recently visited Houston and was taken there. This place has great crepes. I tried the nutella crepe and the strawberry crepe with whipped creme and chocolate and they were absolutely fantastic. The service was great. They were very friendly and attentive. The inside space is a little small but you can sit outside and people watch while you sip on your wine that you can bring with you. The location is really good for people watching. I really enjoyed my visit to Coco's and would recommend this place to anyone in Houston or anyone going to Houston for a visit. You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely adore CoCo's!! They have the yummiest crepes in the whole world.....and I'm NOT exaggerating!! They are soooooo good! CoCo's is pretty tiny but very cozy, they do a realy good job of not making it feel cramped. I really enjoy the intimate setting and delicous assortment of desserts! The staff is always friendly and very accomodating! I go atleast twice a weak...it's actually become like a tradition to go there with my boyfriend! lol, as crazy as that sounds! The atmosphere is great, and I can't wait for the weather to get cooler so we can start sitting outside!! I would recommend CoCO's Crepes to anyone and everyone!! If you haven't been I would honestly consider you a deprived person!! lol

I live in the apartment complex right above Coco's. I am a regular there, and not just because of it's convenient location. There are two things that I believe are INCREDIBLE there, however underrated. Yes, I know it's called Coco's CREPES and crepes are their specialty but you have to give these a try: the goat cheese panini (with sundried tomatoes) and their hazelnut gelato. Simply delicious. I love coffee and I enjoy trying out different roasts. I am not a big fan of calorie-loaded coffee drinks and though I enjoy my coffee without cream or sugar, sometimes I crave something a little sweeter than my regular dark roast. Once, they recommended that I add a little vanilla syrup to my coffee and I LOVED it.
Also, not many people know this but it's B.Y.O.W. (bring your own wine) and the corking fee is $5. It's nice to sit out there on a week/weekend night to enjoy a good bottle of wine from Spec's with a friend or two and people watch. I also love the French music they play (even though I don't understand a thing). I think they play it from a French XM channel. Anyhow, it's nice for a change. Oh, yeah, on the weekends, especially Sunday mornings it may get a little packed and the wait can be more than 10 or 15 minutes. Don't go there if you're in a rush. However, business is usually slower on weekday mornings (which is when I stop by for my morning coffee fix).
Overall good experience.

Coco's has fantastic crepes! I highly recommend getting a savory crepe (but the sweet crepes are also good). The place is small, but cute. Be prepared to wait a bit for your crepe since each one is prepared fresh...but it's well worth the wait!

I recently wrote a bad review based on an experience with a barista who no longer works there. I think it's time to be fair and update/improve my opinion. I go to CoCo's a few times a week because it's less than a block from my apartment. The drip coffee is much better than Coffee Groundz, a few blocks away. The espresso based drinks are a little light on the espresso but that's better than scorching it, I guess. Everyone seems to love the crepes but I like the truffles and brownies much better. It's more of a locals' hangout than a destination. It's not a great environment for studying but it's better than trying to study at home all the time. I'd give them another star if they'd make their lattes a little stronger.

I used to eat crepes at the mall growing up, but haven't had them since. So, part of the appeal here is definitely nostalgia. But, I'm particularly enamored of the nutella crepe. And, it's a real treat to sit outside and people watch the barbie doll crowd heading to the bar across the street. Very European, with crepes that are worth the trip.

I just can not stop going after my first visit there. People there are super nice and food is good. The best thing to go to COCO is that you are treated as friend there not just a stranger to order a coffee to go. I really glad that we have COCO in our community which makes us think more than just a quick StarBucks .

I love going to this place on the weekends with my friends. They have really great crepes (nutella and strawberries, yum!) and really good coffee - it's perfect for a low key saturday morning. The service can be pretty slow, so it's best to go when you have plenty of time, but it's ideal for mornings when you're not moving very fast anyway.

The people who work here completely ruin this place. Service is awful!!! It takes forever to get your order. I typically order a coffee and a bagel... the first couple of times, they toasted it...lately they have been microwaving it (yuk!). The crepes are good - when you get them. I have decided that I have to stop coming here - yes, it is very convenient since I live in the same building - but I am never satisfied. I have really hung in with this place from the day they first opened, giving them time to work out the details but I need to have my coffee in the morning without irritation...

A new Starbucks opened up couple of blocks away and I know it will be worth the extra walk.

Like the previous reviewer, I've also had crepes a few times in Europe. Granted, Coco's isn't going to yield the same ambience as having a crepe at a streetside cafe in Paris, but the crepes are seriously good. They are fairly slow at making them, but the outcome is well worth it. My favorite is my own custom crepe with ham, goat cheese and wild mushroom pesto. The dessert crepes are also delicious. If it weren't so hard to get to Midtown, I'd go far more often. My only problem is that I'm so stuffed on crepes, I haven't had the room to try the gelato. Next time!

We took guests here Sunday morning to try it for the first time. We all have eaten crepes in Europe and agreed that these were not up to European standards. However, they were still quite tasty. The problem was the wait. The service is slow on Sunday morning when business is hopping. Plan to wait 20 minutes or so for your crepes (they only have 2 crepe machines). I say crepes, because one is not enough to fill you if you like a hearty breakfast. If you eat two, your tab will come to $10+. That seems a bit much for a fast food ambience (order at the counter, paper plates, plasticware, self-bussing) but without the "fast".

I'm no coffee drinker but I'm now a huge fan of this place after trying some of their crepes for dinner. Excellent! My only complaints are that they weren't answering their phone, and when I got there, the guy behind the counter told me I could call first. Well, I had you on redial to try and order for takeout - but no dice.

Delicious desserts, coffees, and gelato!! Very cute, with italian coffee shop decor. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Gelato is Italian ice cream, made with 2 percent milk, so it's low-fat. However, it seems much creamier than regular ice cream. Personally, I like it better. They have unique flavors like hazelnut, espresso, pistachio, but their french vanilla is the best - it was unbelievably good. Great place for dessert after dining at one of the nearby restaurants!
