On February 19, 1979 a little pizza place on the Ave was beginning its first year of business. It called itself Pagliacci and didn't even put up a sign. That little pizza joint quickly developed its own personality and culture while it focused on great pizza and excellent service.
Pagliacci was the first in Seattle to hand-spin fresh dough, bake directly on hot bricks and offer a variety of pizza by the slice. Unlike most places back then, Pagliacci used fresh mushrooms, real meats and hand-crafted mozzarella cheese grated fresh daily.
Since its grand opening, Pagliacci aspired to be the best pizza place possible. The people seem to agree and continue to honor Pagliacci with numerous awards. Over the past 26 years the location has had numerous face-lifts and major remodeling. Great pizza and great service has always been a hallmark of this great pizza joint.

Pagliacci
Pagliacci pizza is greasy and excellent but expensive! As a college student at the UW, I live very close to this location but hardly ever go there- Lower their prices and i'm there every day

Go for the AGOG Primo pizza
Pagliacci's pizza is hands down the best pizza that can come out of a franchise restaurant. Their salads are also great and the staff is very friendly. Another thing I love about Pagliacci's is that they offer great discounts for university students in the area. But the location is not ideal, especially for a late night bite.

Great Story
For my money this is the best pizza in Seattle. I grab a couple slices here every week - usually pepperoni pizza at about $2.73 per slice, including tax. Great deal, especially since they use local, fresh ingredients and hand make their pies on site daily! Great story - to give an idea of how nice the employees and manager are - I ordered my customary two slices of pie in here last week and the manager told me the next pie would be ready in 5 minutes. It turned out the pie he was referring too was a whole pie order, not for slices, and that it would be a few more minutes for the next pie to be done baking. It was really no problem to begin with as I was reading the paper. Without prompting of any kind, one of the employees came over to me, delivered my money back and two piping hot slices. The manager - I think he was the manager - said "I hope it's OK - sorry about the wait and we hope you come back and try us again soon". Of course I said! It was a very gracious thing to do. It showed the quality of their service and Pagliacci Pizza as a company. This is what Nordstrom and Starbucks aim to be like - great service companies. That is what Pagliacci epitomizes.
Pros: Great pizza, service
Cons: I wish I could read the titles of the movie posters on the wall...all in Italian

Pretty good pizza
I miss pagliacci's. It wasnt the best pizza, but it's pretty good. Now that I live in another state, I miss it. I liked getting pizza here and also the location in the hub. My favorites are their hawaiian, pepparoni, and cheese pizza. Their pizza by the slice is pretty affordable and their pies aren't expensive.
Pros: Great pizza by the slice

Mmm...
Pagliacci has the best pizza crust I've tasted outside of NYC. Chewy and crispy, their recipe is to die for.
I'd avoid the "Pesto Primo" pizza, though, if you don't like huge 2" diameter blobs of cold Ricotta cheese. *shudder*

Best Pizza!
In my opinion, Pagliacci's is hands down the best pizza in Seattle! The crispy thin crust combined with real mozzarella and a smorgasbord of toppings is what makes Pagliacci the great pizzaria it is. I am not a Seattle native which perhaps makes me a bit more vocal about Pagliacci's but trust me, if you want excellent pizza with some unique and delicious toppings, Pagliacci's is the place to go. Also, although some of their specialties can be a bit pricey, the original cheese is very cheap and still my favorite.
Pros: Food, Specialties, Price

Pagliacci Delivery
I love this pizza! Not too greasy and a nice thin crust, and the large variety of options is a nice touch. Delivery is fast and the guys are friendly, the only downside is that it's expensive. That makes it an order out treat instead of a staple.
Pros: great pizza & variety, prompt delivery, friendly service
Cons: expensive
