Cal-Chinese Cuisine  4 Star Rating - Very good

I love the food at PF Changs. It is a bit pricey, but for a "once in a while" place to meet friends before or after a movie, it is great! I have tried many of the menu items and have never been unhappy. The atmosphere is open and roomy but you may have to wait a few. So have some Tsing Tao beer at the bar while you wait... Enjoy

Not your typical Chinese restaurant  4 Star Rating - Very good

The first time I went to PF Chang's I was distracted by the gimmicks like the dramatic flipping of the dipping sauce and the brown rice (instead of white rice) on the menu. I immediately thought, "What kind of Chinese restaurant is this?!" But I did get over that and ended up enjoying the meal. I found the dishes to be pretty good, but definitely upscale. There's a full bar with exotic drinks. For Chinese food, it's a little pricey, but the atmosphere is also nicer than your average Chinese restaurant.

PROS: good food
CONS: pricey

too sweet, too oily food  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

P.F. Changs is Chinese food in disguise. It is covered in sweet sauces, and deep fried in oils. I find it over priced. San Jose has so many great Chinese restaurants, but P.F. Changs is not one of them.

The restaurant is very nicely done up, and right in the mall.

PROS: great presentation
CONS: oily, sugary food

Family-friendly Chinese restaurant  4 Star Rating - Very good

My kids love P.F. Chang's dumplings! This is not your average Chinese restaurant. The decor is nice, selection is great, food is not too greasy, and they provide lots of things to make it a fun place to take the kids including kid-friendly chopsticks, funny little twisty things to entertain the kids after you order, and an extensive selection of dumplings, vegetable and noodle dishes that my kids really like. The other bonus for my son is that they have a huge horse statue out front and terra cotta warriors inside, so he always likes to stop and admire those when we're there.

PROS: Good food, kid-friendly, very consistent
