To start: this place does have good food. The chef is obviously good at what he/she does and it shows in the taste of the food. That said, we will not return due to the poor quality of service and lack of concern for patrons. We used a restaurant certificate ($25) which stated we had to spend $35, with alcohol at the discretion of the restaurant. Well, they definitely say no. Then, we got a pizza with toppings on only half, and when I asked, I was told "the computer does it that way." I stated that it is humans who program the computer, so obviously, someone does not care about giving the customer a price based on what was actually ordered. The so-called manager told me it takes them longer to put toppings on only half a pizza and if I had ordered single slices, it would be even more for toppings. This makes no sense to me, especially since I have done pizza before and every other place prorates for half a pizza with toppings. Anyway...the server was young and friendly, but not very experienced, and she was gone more than she was at our table. The rub came when we asked for our bill, and she said we had to spend $1 more to comply with the certificate. So we got dessert. We had to ask for more silverware and, once done, she was nowhere to be found for the bill. Wouldn't you think she realized we did need the bill? Even worse, after overpaying for toppings and spending $10 more with drinks, she added the 18 percent tip based on the original bill, which she ran up making us spend more! I feel taken advantage of and will not be recommending this place to anyone. Even though it's in a so-called shopping center, it has nothing for kids and is not very friendly feeling. I hope that they're happy having only about 3 tables a night, which was what we saw, and if others have the experience we had, I'm sure I'll be seeing a "For Rent" sign very soon!

Pros: Excellent scallops, decent pizza and sauces very flavorful

Cons: Poor service, no sides with expensive subs, overcharging issues

The service was terrible! Found out that the 18% automatic tip leaves little incentive to service customers. The Marsala sauce was watered down, as was the Piccata sauce. Small plate with NO sides/salad and a tiny roll the size of silver dollar. Overpriced for poor quality meals. $100. for 4 people.......even Fazio's is better. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

When paying with a credit card be aware that it is their policy to add a tip without authorization regarless of whether or not you paid a cash tip. Seems the owners are tired of loosing out on tips so they take it upon themselves. So what if the service or the food was horrible and you choose not to tip? NO CHOICE. When they take the final credit card slip from you and enter your information into their credit card system, they add in an additional percentage to cover their tip...your UNAUTHORIZED TIP. You will NEVER see that receipt. They added $20.00 onto my credit card AFTER our CASH TIP. They first told me that the credit card processing company does it automatically. They then changed their story and said it's because they want to secure that dollar amount with the transaction. Then they changed their story and told us they were tired of getting stiffed for tips. They told me even Tijuana Flats does it. So we called Flats and they confirmed that this is NOT policy and they have never heard of such a thing and they would rather loose out on a tip than a returning customer.

So other than the food being just average and the owners being flat out rude, beware of your credit card. For those of you that run your banking close your dinner experience can costs you a bunch of overdraft fees.

Went there when it first opened. Service was slow, slow, slow. All "new" servers - they said they had a couple nights of training and nothing with live customers. Kitchen was way backed up. I watched from the pizza bar, it was like a Three Stooges episode. When we finally got our pizza 45 minutes after we ordered, it was good, but not great. Way too expensive.

We gave them a second chance a couple weeks later figuring they'd gotten through the growing pains. It was just as bad - maybe worse - because there was less staff working. Could have been a shift thing, could have been that 25% of the people walked out on the overmatched management, I cant say. What I can say is that this time we wanted cuisine as opposed to pizzas. We learned that it would not be easy. The setup is confusing - they had a "Mom & Pop" side and a "Gormet" side. Different menus. Ask to order from the menu opposite from the section you are sitting in, and the waiter's head explodes. We were sitting in the Mom & Pop pizza side, so we gave in and ordered Calzones. They were good, again until we realized how much we paid for them.

Gave them one more chance. I said, I'll call in a pizza from my office in Maitland. 30 minute drive in rush hour. That night it took 40. Pizza was not ready. I ran into the Publix to get some beers. 15 mins later, Pizza was not ready. All told, that Pizza took over an hour. Disgusted, I swore never to go back.

Its been a little less than 2 years, and we've eaten there maybe 2 more times. The service has gotten better, but we only do call ahead take out. The management is still the same folks (hoping they've learned a thing or 12). Prices are still about 25% more than you'd expect to pay for a pizza, and the gourmet side, you could go to Carrabbas or Macaroni Grill for the same $.

For pizza, I'd suggest Napoli's (down the street, pizza OK, very cheap) or Carmela's (I4 & 434 - best pie, slightly less $)
