The guys at Mac Doctor are awesome and I give them five stars for outstanding work. Brought my 15 inch macbook pro in to be checked out after everyone else declared it DOA because of the logic board. The folks there said this was a known issue and ordered in a new logic board, replaced my superdrive (which was already bad) and had it back to me in one week. They even loaded the OS onto the hard drive to make sure everything works. My MBP works great and they saved me the cost of a new laptop. Great service, fast turnaround, and communicated what was going on with the repairs.

These guys rock. They fixed my MBP and got it all done in under a week. They kept me updated during the repairs and made my laptop look new again. I will be using these guys all the top. The guys at the Apple store just wanted to sell me another computer. These guys fixed what was broken and saved me a load of money. I just can't afford a new mac laptop every 3-4 years. These guys were awesome. GREAT JOB : )

I have no idea why anyone would rate this store less than five stars. I have had NOTHING but good service from them!

I bought a used MacBook Pro from a "friend" He told me that the only problem was the wireless card. I was stupid and believed him. I went and had it looked at at a different store, and they told me that was an LCD issue or something and that it would cost a lot to fix, but said nothing else.

I heard about Mac Doctor from a different friend and decided to call them. I went in and they immediately looked up the serial number and did a thorough check on everything they could. They then took the computer, had me sign the standard agreement and told me it would be about three days.

I got a call back the same day and they explained that there were so many more issues than what my "friend" had told me and that to fix them all would be $700.

They did me a favor and didn't charge me the usual $50 for looking at it, even though they went out of their way and did much MUCH more than they needed to by taking it apart and looking through it, trying new cards and new screens, and everything else they could do to help me out. They even took pictures and reported the store that previously fixed water damage on the warranty.

Once I got it back, I asked if there was any way for me to connect to the internet without a working Airport card. They said they sold an Asus card that usually worked, but couldn't guarantee anything.

The card was about $60 but I needed it, so I bought it and asked if they would help me install it, which they did without a single problem. We even stood and had a nice conversation while doing it.

Once I got it home I had a few issues with it and instead of telling me to come in, like some other stores would, they worked with me over the phone. Even though I called them literally 15 or 20 times the first week I had it back, they were honest and nice every time we spoke, and helped me with my issues.

To this day everyone at the store remembers me and helps me with any issues I have. I would recommend them to anyone who has a Mac. They are AMAZING!!

I am a student in the Computer Animation degree program at Full Sail.

Every time I take my Mac into the Mac Store some high school student, who more than likely knows less about computers than I do, tells me something like, "You're hard drive is messed up because you don't have this fancy new charger" (True story).

I don't understand why this place doesn't have phenomenal both times I have had computer trouble they have been more than helpful.

The last time I was in my hard drive was was experiencing problems. Right when I came in a younger guy, who happened to be on the phone with another customer, went to the back and another man with long black hair followed behind him to help me out. I told him the problem, he opened my computer to check it out and saw that two of my keys from my keyboard were missing (My 2 playful cat's fault). He replaced the 2 keys without even bringing the issue up (I was surprised I wasn't charged for them). He told me that my problem was a software problem which wasn't covered by my warranty. He told me I could solve the problem myself at home without even sending the computer and having downtime (Which I was dreading seeing as how my computer is my lifeline). He gave me a piece of paper with moderately simple instructions, I went home that day and solved my problem in 4 hours rather than the 3 to 4 business days it would take to send it in for some guy in a factory to do (at 8 to 10 dollars an hours) what was on the single sheet of paper the "long haired guy"gave me.

Clean and simple,
If you bring your computer in and talk to them in a nice, respectful tone I do not understand why they would not give you the same outstanding service they gave me. It is not the Mac Doctor employee's fault that your computer is having issues. It is also not his fault that you decided NOT to buy the extended warranty on your Mac. I don't know why all the past reviews are bad, and I am sure the other writers have their own reasons for being angry with this company.

I am just saying you shouldn't blame the employee for your computers defect.

Worst service ever! I left my computer there for repairs and 10 days later they had not even looked at it! They didn't even have the screwdrivers to open the new Macbook!!! The workers had bad attitudes and weren't very helpful or friendly. They just didn't care. DO NOT GO THERE!

My imac G5 has been there for over two weeks. Almost a week went by before I could track them down to see what needed to be fixed. They didn't call me back when they said they would...and they didn't fix the problem when they said it would be fixed. I understand that there are delays when ordering parts, etc, however, there is NO REASON not to communicate with customers. I am extremely nervous that these people still have my imac, and I will use another repair service in the future. The fact that I have not once been able to get a response when calling macdoctor, should stand as fair warning to anyone else that would consider dropping off something that has all of you personal information on it.

After dealing with sub-optimal care from Apple "genius" folks, I found Steve. He was VERY fast to get the job done, and completely painless to work with. Having almost 100 Mac notebooks means I test Steve's service frequently.
So far hes 10 for 10.

In Steve we trust.

I was referred to Steve by another devout mac guy. I do most of my own mac work, But when I get stumped i have to reach out to a pro.

Steve was able to help me over the phone to do one of those top secret resets on our server.. Now I know where the button is and all is fine.

I've since been taking my hard case problems into the store to get them fixed quick and affordable.

My daughter, a student at UCF, left her computer w/MacDoctor (12/2007) for repair only to get a call that the store had been burglarized and her computer was gone! Scary, right?? Steve Lamb assured her it would take a little time (be patient) but it would be replaced through insurance. NOT TRUE!!! Many calls, many weeks that turned into months, (Imagine being without your computer for three months?!) his insurance company offered us approximately $500, not even close to enough to purchase a new Mac! The bottom line....STEVE LAMB, owner of MacDoctor was GROSSLY UNDER INSURED for this event!! After the original offer, we received a letter stating that we needed to make a claim through our own (homeowner's) insurance - ALLSTATE, and following a settlement or denial by them, MacDoctor's insurance company, OLD DOMINION, would act....the usual insurance game! Long story, short - MacDoctor's insurance offer went down to $459; we made a claim through our own company, which of course, included a deductible, and it took until mid-April to get the check from OLD DOMINION! (My review of them would also be "unsatisfactory!") ALLSTATE, our insurance company, acted somewhat quicker, but the claim is being held us against us in the way of higher premiums, so we continue to pay!! A lawsuit would have definitely been our next course of action, however, we do not live in the Orlando area, and my daughter has since graduated and relocated. I think most of us don't think about this when we "drop off" our (valuable) belongings for service: Is this business adequately insured to replace my possession(s) in the event of theft or fire? Is there an alarm system to deter or foil a burglary? Admittedly, it wasn't something my daughter considered when she left one of her most prized possessions, purchased using her own (graduation) money, with STEVE LAMB. Think about it!

In March 2007, I purchased a Macbook. I have had no problems with it until about September when I noticed cracks forming in the wrist rest area of the laptop. I was dreading taking my laptop to the Mac Store at the mall (which is not close by) so I decided to find an authorized service location close to me. I called the shop and told the owner my problem and he told me to bring it right in. I was very impressed with this place. They did an excellent job fixing my computer and it only took them 1 day. I will definitely bring my computer back here if I have any more problems. I also may come here if I am looking to buy any Mac products and don't feel like driving all the way the the Mac Store at the mall.
