TERRIBLE property management company. Seriously their receptionists are completely incompetent and mysteriously always a different person. Had multiple maintenance issues that took WEEKS and dozens of calls to get someone out to fix it.

I would not recommend this company or it's owner Mr. Bill Wheeler. I rented a home from another realtor called Lackland Realty off of HWY 90 I wasn't able to see the inside of the property but the realty company knew I was a single mom of four small children under the age of 6. When I moved in mid Jan. 2010 I was faced with a wreck of a home that was polished just enough to pass SAHA inspection. When I did a walk through of the home I found dead roach carcus painted into to walls and countertops. Since my move in SAHA inspected the home four times and failed all of them. Everytime SAHA stopped payment he would give false promises that he would bring the house up to par. So SAHA continued to pay up until mid Nov. When they failed it once again. At that moment I got a call from Mr. Wheeler stating that becase he was unsatisfied with SAHA inspections dep. He was removing the house from the program and I had two weeks to vacate. Here is a heartless man two weeks before Thanksgiving is when he asked me to leave. Minus the weekends and the holiday I had less than a week to find a home and relocate my family. When I asked about my deposit I was told it would take 30/45 days to get it that's if there were no damages. I left this home in better conditions than he left it to me. There was a bed bug infestation in the home before I moved in that he had his workers paint over. My children and I suffered at the hands of Mr. Wheeler and his company. I am now living in a motel with my children cause Mr. Wheeler caused me to lose my housing assistance.

dont rent if they manage it. what the person said above is true!they will ntell you what you want to hear and forget it the minute your out of sight. all they are after is thir money and that is it. i have been to three properties they manage and it's all the same story. and by all means don't stop paying rent because you have to live with mold, and filth. bet they dont live that way.... in 2 yrs i think they have gone through about 20 employees, so what does that tell you????

I would never expect all the things that go on with Mr. Wheeler and his "Management Group". I did work with him for a month or so and had to leave. I was a Property Manager for him and have never seen anything so horrible. I was working @ an older property that needed alot of improvement. I was told to lease the apartments a.s.a.p. They had me move in residents (or try to move in ) with out getting the apartments made ready. We had ceilings caving in all the time and was told never to use any contractors to fix the roof and just to put a piece of ply wood to cover it up. I had this one experience where there was an elderly lady living in the apartment and one day it was raining and the ceiling fell on her and left her with a damaged shoulder. At my amazement I called Mr.Wheeler and told him about the incident and was told to ask her to leave, (And get her to pay for damages) (And charge her if apartment was not left clean). I felt so bad for the residents. Then Mr.Wheeler comes and asks questions about our vacants and does nothing to turn them around but wants to get them leased up. Half of the building has termites and is about to fall down , the city has inspected some of the units and have all failed (9). I thought maybe things would change because Mr. Wheeler presents himself as a good person, but please dont be blinded by his "I was in the Navy stories". He is all about himself and his money and dosent care about his employees and talks very ugly about his property owners. Anyone desperate enough to use him must ask for recommendations THAT ARE VALID because he has never had a property longer then 6 -9 months.

There is not enough space in this comment section to adequately reflect my misgivings about Mr. Wheeler or his supposed "property management company". The use of the word inadequate does not begin to descibe their service of clients' properties. As one of his former clients, I saw my asset figuratively "fall off a cliff" when Stonewall was given the management contract. If I could give a zero star rating, that would come close to how they treat owners and assets. Although Mr. Wheeler presents himself very well in peron with his "I was a navy commander..." spill, his professionalism completely dissappears within the first few confrontations on a property's performance. As an example, he still lists my property as one of his "managed assets" when asked for reference to his work, and I fired him almost 6 months ago!!

Now i have serious issues with maintenance and they won't lift a finger to make sure things get taken care of. When you call to ask about your case they berate you , using 4 and 5 letter words, and treat you like scum. They are a brand new company, and obviously don't know what they're doing. I would run from renting anything from them. Stay AWAY, i urge you. They're renting you a polished turd!

In my opinion, it is hard to get paid when you do temporary work for Stonewall. In my opinion ,the paychecks were all between 6-14 days late. I would not recommend working there.
