A mutual friend recently recommended Taylor Collins at Star Salon. I have lots of gray hair, and I'm way too young to let them show! Taylor gave me an outstanding new look through a two-color process, with highlights added to my hair. This has allowed me go longer between colorings, and it looks great! People frequently comment on how wonderful my hair looks, and I feel young and way cute!

I recently moved to Denver from Fort Collins. I had the same stylist for years and was reluctant to find someone new. Then I found Taylor. The over all experience was awesome. Not only did i leave with a rockin haircut but I had a great time! Thanks Lady!

Wow!! What a great experience! I have been seeing the same person for over 10 years and have been stuck with this weird puffy look that just wasn't...good. I spent a whole morning researching reviews and websites trying in vein for the holy grail of salons. You know: affordable, a great look, great atmosphere, relaxing, on and on the list goes. So I found this salon with 17 excellent reviews and zero of anything less than excellent. Many specifically mentioned Taylor Collins. So hoping for the best, mentally prepared for the worst, I made an appointment. AND WOW!! She listened, discussed, and gave me the perfect look! It's fun, sophisticated, and looks great for my face and personality. I didn't even know what I wanted, just something better than what I had. I had no idea people could love their hair cut and style. I left there feeling like "world, here I come! Watch Out!" THanks, Taylor, you gave me a whole new attitude and I'm ready for the next phase of my life! You're the best!

TAYLOR COLLINS: IS THE ONLY WAY POSSIBLE FOR ME TO STEP FOOT IN A SALON AGAIN! BEING TRAMATIZED WITH BLACK SHIRLEY TEMPLE HAIR SINCE I WAS FIVE & AWFUL EXPERIENCES MY WHOLE LIFE[ NO NAMES INCLUDED]! WHEN I FIRST MET HER, I KNEW I LOVED HER, & TOLD HER I NEEDED MY HAIR DONE AFTER AGES.

I'VE EVEN HAD AN EPIPHANY AS TO WHY THE FIRST TIME I HAD THE STYLE SHE JUST GAVE ME STUNK, AND WHY IT LOOKS SO GOOD NOW!

I am kind of new to the Denver area and have had zero luck finding someone who can give me the cut and color that I want. That is, until I found Taylor at Star Salon.

She was fun and friendly and really listened to what I wanted. As a result I have an AMAZING new cut and color and could not be happier with my entire experience at Star Salon!

I have traveled around from city to city for work and along the way usually try to find a place to refresh my hair or just make a change. It is very important that the hair stylist that just knows what he is doing and I finally found one. The stylist I have found is Jed and Star Salon. He is informative and very educated in his craft. I will definately be making the trip back to denver to see Jed to get my hair done every 8 weeks. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is calming and relaxing. Nice upbeat music.
So I recomend to all looking for a wounderful hair stylist visit Star Salon and ask for Jed.

Andee is one of the best in town. My hair always looks wonderful after she works her magic. Kare and crew are the friendliest. The salon is beautiful and in the most convenient area. I always tell anyone who asks to go the Star salon. Thanks for doing such a great job doing my hair.

Andee is an artist: she takes the time to separate individual strands of hair and colors them 2 to 3 different complimentary shades of your natural hair color, each one lighter than the last, and leaves in enough of the grey so that you don't look like a 'Just For Men' helmet head. I have my natural 'salt and pepper' hair back again after being completely grey for the last 10 years. Andee is a star!

Star Salon is the best. The decor is great and makes it a relaxing place to go. The stylists are amazing. They listen to you and do exactly what you request whether it is an easy to care for cut or natural looking color. I love the convienent hours. They are even open on Sunday!

Andee (and the rest of the crew) at Star Salon are amazing! They are all so nice and wonderful and they do astounding cuts and color. Plus, you can book online! If you are in need of a good salon in cap hill you must give star salon a try.

I love this salon - the space is lovely, the atmosphere is totally relaxing and I always love my cut and color! Andee has a great eye and I trust her to play with my color- and I always get a ton of compliments every time!

I've recommended this salon to friends, co-workers and they've all become repeat customers. And I of course recommend Star to all the strangers who tell me, " I love your hair!"

Pros: Way cheaper than Cherry Creek or Lodo, with the same or better cuts, color and style

I've always felt completely at home. The stylists are amazing! I have problem hair, but thanks to their magic, I finally have a flattering, professional look. Everyone is friendly, and the clientele are a great mix of people. After years of changing salons, finally found a place I love!

I recommend the Star Salon to all of my friend and relatives. Karen and all of the technicians that work there are professionals in every thing they do. Scheduling an appointment is easy to do on-line. Karen is a good conversationalist. She remembers every thing I tell her about my family and friends. I look forward to spending that 20 to 30 minutes with her every month. The Star Salon is the greatest.

I got 3 compliments from strangers on the last haircut I got from Karen at Star Salon!

I travel frequently for work, so I love the convenience of booking my appointments online a few days before my appointment. I can also see my appointment history with their online service. All of the stylists are friendly, and the salon is warm, classy, and comfortable.

I've been going to get my hair cut at star salon for about a year now and I can't tell you how great they've been to me. Karen is the stylist I see. She keeps me looking like a handsome devil and I've never been less than satisfied with her cuts, feeling like a winner when I leave. The other stylists are friendly and warm, making the already inviting salon a singular place. When was the last time you were cozy at a fashion show? That's the best way I can describe Star Salon. I also like looking at what's going on at the other chairs. I've seen a couple of amazing new hair color transformations on other clients like copper-colored or patches or streaks the colors of exotic fruits, though I've never had that done myself.

Pros: excellent service, close to the center of town

Cons: Next to Daz Bog, I can't resist getting coffee afterward!

After years of going to a new salon every sixth months, getting mediocre hair cuts and then getting discouraged about the entire process, I was happy to find Star Salon about a year and a half ago. So far, I've only had the owner, Karen Mealey, cut my hair, but I've heard from good friends to whom I've recommended the salon that Andee Becker also does an amazing job.
Karen has a knack for actually listening when you tell her what you are looking for and then giving you unexpected additions that don't contradict your original instructions or your personality style. She's the first stylist I've come across in years who actually takes the comment of, "I'd like my hair to look great both straight out of the shower without blowdrying/styling/straightening it and when I want to take a little more time with it."
I frequently recommend Star Salon to other friends, and so far, I've heard no complaints. Its comfortable and clean inside and always friendly!
