Village Deli is perfect example of Location Location Location. We all have been to a restaurant at beach or when you visit some new town there is a restaurant that is in the heart of the action. Looks inviting then you go inside and try

Pathetic is the only word that accurately describes Village Deli I work for Drug Company in Raleigh/ Wake Forest area. It is a part of my workday for me to eat lunch daily with other Reps. or customers and will cater to offices weekly

BAD BAD & MORE BAD - The Food is AWFUL!! 1st this place is not really a DELI. It has EXTREMELY overpriced Sheets Gas Station food. 2nd- This place has a odor inside that lingers on your clothes after you leave sort of like musty greasy smell. 3rd.- That is not the least of this places problems. Wife and kids made mistake of going there after baseball game. We had 2 soup and Salad combo's and 2 sandwiches. After the 2nd return of both sandwiches because the meat they served us was spoiled.... they then smothered the sandwich crystallized old crusty mayonnaise, my wife had to leave the table to avoid vomiting on the floor. The salad was pre-made and soggy/wilted not fresh or crispy. Soup was tasteless and noodles in the soup were mush. My wife and I wondered how this place stays in business and how many people they make sick every week. TO BOOT we paid over $65 for our meal that my dog would most definitely not eat. AVOID THIS SO CALLED DELI. RUN DO NOT WALK Save yourself and kids from most certain illness...

We love Village Deli - great food, locally owned, friendly staff.

Price is more than just dollars, it's about the value of what you're getting, and at Village Deli the food is superior.. and the desserts are incredible!

I live and Work in Wake Forest our staff goes out to lunch couple times a week. We had stopped going to the Village Deli over year ago because of the mediocre to poor tasting food that was outrageously priced. Last Friday we stopped in for a bite to give it another try? Some things never change? We had our usual 20-25 min wait for 2 sandwiches and order Chicken tenders. We specifically asked for turkey sandwich on plain wheat bread with dressings and whatever accompaniments on side (too much to ask for outrageously price sandwich?) Needless to say Deli can not even get that right. Chicken fingers were soggy and barley warm as if they were made few hours before. Amazingly rude counter personnel seem clueless or it just act that way to get you to go away? Price for sandwich, drink and side is $14? So, if you crave, sub-par food, slow service and rude & clueless personnel all at an OUTRAGIOUS PRICE. Village Deli is for you? Not for us, never again?

My office mate and I bought 2 sandwiches for lunch last week, one Turkey, lettuce, tomato on white and the other just Ham on a roll. Turkey sandwich was rancid. It actually stunk from spoilage. I opened turkey sandwich there was GREEN and DARK blotches on the sliced turkey meat. My office mate inspected her sandwich and the ham was slimy and foul smelling. I discretely returned the sandwich to the counter, the counter person could not be bothered was rude when I explained the sandwich meat was spoiled. Counter person argued that was the way the turkey and ham meat always looks and smells that way.
I am astonished that more people have not gotten sick or this place closed by heath department.

Pros: OVERPRICED

Cons: POOR QUALITY FOOD ARROGANT EMPLOYEES

My family and I after Hockey at the Factory decided to get pickup at the Village Deli. They have always been good in the past but very expensive. No problem as long as it is correct and good. After picking up the order thank god we checked, they left one of the kids meal s off. After returning home Dads chez steak was not done correctly. Salad dressings are the fake blu chez and ranch. Anyway, not ever going back and spreading the word to all of WF to do the same.

Pros: Used to be good

Cons: Can't get a simple call in order correct!!

Been there once the poor quality and the barking nature of the staff faded from memory and I made the mistake of going there again recently with my children. Nothing changed.... I walked in with my 5 and 7 year children We all heard a lady screaming "F" word repeatedly when employee saw us coming this employee yelled "PAT PAT" not sure if this was a code word for employees to be quiet or a name but, place is not child friendly.

This is a service counter ordering like Moe's restaurant there is no deli type feel. The cafeteria style dining room is bright and open but there is no privacy if you want to have any sort of conversation.

I had a grilled chicken sandwich and side of slaw and drink. My kids had 2 orders of chicken fingers. My chicken sandwich tasted old and was barley warm the edges were hard as if it was reheated or microwave a few times before and was tasteless. My kids ate the chicken fingers but they were very greasy and they were very tiny order even for my 5 year old doughter. My daughter spilled a dip sauce for the chicken I had to pay .50 extra I assume the $7.95 I paid for the 2 greasy tenders was not enough to get another 1/2-ounce sauce.
$35 for lunch is robbery for reheated greasy junk food. There are so many better friendly restaurants on South Main Street now at less then half this price, I do not understand how this place stays around... I guess I do, since I paid the bill!! Never Again.!!!

Cons: THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF

The Village Deli is another fun place to eat at The Factory in Wake Forest. They have delicious sandwiches - I've had several of their turkey choices and have loved them all. Very friendly staff, good prices and fast lunch!

My son and I love to have lunch at Village deli in Wake Forest. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, soups and salads, as well as hot foods. The casual atmosphere is great for mommy/son dates with my 4 y/o son. I love the Turkey Club on a croissant! Yummy!

The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Whether dining in or for a quick take-out, I highly recommend Village Deli.

This is my favorite place to eat in Wake Forest. I love their soup, salad and sandwiches. The tea is also wonderful. Their specials change daily and the atmosphere is casual. In the spring/summer I enjoy eating outside. Go ahead and try it! It's yummy!
