Mill Basin Day Camp truly has everything for campers and has been fully expanded in 2012 with dozens of different activities.
I am proud to run Mill Basin Day Camp's fully operational TV Studio. No other camp has a REAL TV studio -producing REAL TV shows that are actually seen on TV (BCAT-TV Ch 68 Cablevision Brooklyn / Ch 43 Verizon citywide Fridays at NOON).
I am even prouder to recommend Mill Basin Day Camp to parents I meet. There are many innovative activities that are constantly being added each summer! The camp is clean, safe and newly renovated... It's by far the best day camp in the city and I have been associated with many in my years of experience.

★☆☆☆☆

Disgusting camp. The pool is dirty and the grounds are shabbily made and maintained. The operator of the snack bar is rude to little kids, parents, and counselors alike and the camp has grown stingy with snacks and transportation. Many staff are also incredibly unprofessional.

A few of my friends have worked here before and most have enjoyed the experience. They have competitive salaries for counselors and support staff, and all the kids appear to be happy and having a good time. Great return rate for both staff and campers.

Excellent camp to send your little ones to. My cousin sent her son and he had a wonderful summer and she was able to relax for a change and enjoy part of the summer on the beach while her little one was having a ball. This place is very professional and has affordable prices. The staff is wonderful and they definitely get involved with each and every camper. My cousin was very pleased with this Day Camp.

There is no better, safer, or more fun and exciting camp program anywhere in New York. I cannot imagine a summer without my children at MBDC and more importantly, neither can they. Parents, send them!

I've gone to Mill Basin Day Camp for a while, and I have to say, its the best summer experience I've ever had. The last time I was in the camp, I was in teen quest. I went on three three day overnights, and I felt completely safe and at ease. The councilors are great, and if anything, a little strict. We know our boundaries and we stay inside them. There are many different kinds of people, so no one could possibly have trouble making friends. We go on trips every day, and even when there are no trips planed, we go to the park, or a mall. They always find ways to keep us busy.I've made friends that will last a lifetime, and I still make sure I keep in touch with them. Mill Basin Day Camp brought us all together, and none of us will ever forget that.

Mill Basin Day Camp located in Brooklyn has looks that are deceiving. When you approach it it looks small, but the opposite is true. This is a big sprawling camp, on several levels, with the biggest outdoor swimming pool I have ever seen. This is matched by another pool indoors for use when it is raining that is also bigger than the pools at most places.

The camp offers more activities than any camp I ever knew of, with a well trained staff who has been there for years. Their activities and facilities include: The two pools, several well equipped computer labs, a photography studio, two arts and crafts studios, a bakery and cooking kitchen for children to learn to cook and bake in, many athletic fields, a movie theater where they show the children first run movies, a full weight training room, day trips for the children, a ballet studio, every sport you can think of, game machines, numerous indoor activities for rainy days, with all facilities totally air conditioned and equipped with phones in each and every room in the camp, many covered over areas for kids to play in in inclement weather, and so much more.

The children are grouped by age, and friends are put together on request. They have a formal type of party to mark the end of camp, furnish snacks, make sure all the children stay hydrated, and make sure all kids are identified and name tagged, and in camp shirts on every trip. This camp does much to reassure parents that their kids are happy, safe, and occupied all day, they have extended hours for parents that need it, and they are teaching children skills and sports, swimming and more, and not just acting as babysitters.

PROS: A well rounded day camp
CONS: none I can think of
