I always love to eat authentic south-indian, particularly andhra style, food. The name Dakshin, I thought, would certainly be good at least for south indian style of food. But it was a big disappointment for me. Even the biryani, forget about the taste, didn't have chicken in it. It was just some color rice with some ready-made masala pastes. It tasted like rotten hot like what you find in cheap roadside gudumba pads.

I first went to this place in December 2006. The Vada's tasted just like authentic Madras Vadas. They tasted great.

The second time I went there. The sambar had a fishy smell to it. It seemed to me that they were recycling the oil. The Vada's which tasted great the first time, were oily and flat. It looked like they were microwaved!.

I had a masala dosai the third time and the masala kept me up all night with heartburn.

When you go here you take a 50/50 chance.
