The Source Unltd was chosen as The Village Voice Pick of the Year. According to the Village Voice, "Kinkos is a fluorescent, electrically humming chain that generates mass anxiety and fits of hysteria. But sidestepping the corporate anarchy altogether is easy at The Source Unltd, an independently run copy shop where long-haired male owner Santo has a magic touch on the buttons. No panic, no long waits. Santo is also a musician."

Excellent choice for your printing needs
We use Santos and Margaret for all our copying needs. Such nice people that go completely out of their way for you. Found them online and decided to give them a try. Could not be happier with the service they provide. Last of a dying breed.

Best Copy Shop!
I've been using The Source Unltd for the last few years to do customized print jobs. The service is exceptional and the jobs are always done perfectly. I have them print itinerary books for me, always on short notice, and they always get the job done immediately and at a great cost. They even went out and bought a special type of binding machine because I asked them about it. Santo and Margaret are such a pleasure to work.

Wouldn't go elsewhere!
The Source, Unltd. has been our organization's "in-house" printer since 1982! Santo and Margaret have always done a beautiful job with our journals, catalogs and reports. The best type of business is a trusted neighbor like The Source. They are quick, inexpensive, reliable and friendly. Poets love The Source!

best copy shop in NYC
I always try The Source first, as an alternative to Kinkos, Staples, etc. First of all its is on my block, so the convenience can't be beat, but more importantly it is an excellent shop. It's a small space but incredibly well stockedtoner, paper, office supplies + cool t-shirts and greeting cards)and they offer a wide range of services all top quality. Don't know about you, but I am a small business and I like to support small businesses. I work against deadlines under intense pressure and I really appreciate the relaxing atmosphere in the shop. Thanks Santo, Margaret and Satch for being there.

Highest marks for this copy shop
I've been going to Santo at the Source for years. This place is a dream come true for writerssuperb quality, low copy costs, fine attention to detail. You can e-mail your work to Santo, get the "overnight rate," and it'll be ready for you (and perfect) in the morning. In addition to being so good at what they do, they're really community-minded which we desperately need in the East Village, now that it's been Starbucksified. They've got a community events newsletter, a can drop-off for the hungry, and locally made cards and gifts. There's the friendly vibe of a small town in there, though they've got the high-quality of a competitive city, the perfect combo. Go there, even if it's a hike. Your days of Kinko's rage are over. My only complaint is that they can't clone themselves and set-up shop next to my writer friends all over the country.

Best copy shop in the East Village
The Source is a storefront copy and stationery shop in the heart of the East Village (East 9th between 1st and Second Aves) where downtown musicians, actors, playwrights, poets, journalists, bloggers, video makers, and restaurant owners go to get their paperwork (and CD/DVD duping) done expertly, quickly, and at reasonable prices. But the big plus is the friendly spirit of the place set by owners Santo and Margaret and their lovable dog, Satch. People go into the Source to get their work done, then stay to talk about art, music, politics, and exchange business cards--countless guitarists have found their drummers, playwrights their leading ladies, while getting their resumes made up at the Source.
Pros: Friendly neighborhood feeling, artists' meeting place
Cons: none
