Pros: Authentic & affordable

Cons: Really busy during lunch

Hing Won is a great place eat delicious Chinese food if you are visiting the Rockefeller Center area. The most valuable deal there is a combination plate that includes the entre, fried rice and a pork egg roll. The prices for the combination plate ranges from $4.24 to $5.54. Unlike other restaurants the combination plate offer is good all day. Both Cantonese and Mandarin noodle soups are also offered. They are priced around $5-$6. There is a large seating area in the back. I recommend the chow fun noodles.

I go to Hing Won pretty often for lunch because it is close by and the prices are right. I've ordered a range of dishes and the majority of them are pretty good. It really depends on what you order because some may be tasty while others bland. They have an extensive menu with some authentic Chinese dishes. Getting your meal can be quite confusing. It's always crowded and hectic with the employees screaming out orders that are ready. You basically order, wait, as soon as they call your order, go up to the register, pay and leave. So although not the best restaurant, you can find some pretty good dishes here for a great price. Where else in Rockefeller Center can you get lunch for under $5?
