.

I came home from the hospital in great shape- had an easy labor and recovery and was cominghome with our first child. The first nurse who showed up barely spoke English. She kept on coughing into her hands and then not washing; she claimed it was allergies to my dog. Mind you, I had specified to the agency that I had a dog and specifically he mentioned he was not hypoallergenic. This nurse had never been reported to have an allergy, so my hunch is that she was sick but didn't want to let anyone know and would rather endanger my child. I sent her home and they sent a replacement. This replacement was not supportive of breast feeding and kept on telling me my child wasn't getting enough and my milk wasn't in- depite the fact that my child was gaining weight and I was able to pump. She insisted on giving formula the first day by insisting my child was starving. NO ONE can tell you to give formula but the pediatrician. The result was contipation that is still persisting days later (I let her go after 2 1/2 days and should have done so sooner).
This nurse also did not do laundry- I did most of the diaper changes and she didn't bathe the baby once (even after I asked her to both bathe the baby and do laundry)
I have had friends who have had a more positive experience with this agency, but I found my experiences to be thoroughly unsatisfactory. My baby nurse stressed me out considerably more than my new baby!

Pros: Good reputation

Cons: Not deserved!!!
