I would also have to agree with the other bad review...I would also give them a zero stars if I could. I have to start this off by saying...STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM FALLON MOVING & STORAGE, ACE WORLDWIDE, and ATLAS VAN LINE.

Fallon along with Atlas Van Lines are the worst company to work with... They do not want to do anything except steal from customer and damage all the goods they are being contracted to move.

In December I sold my home. I asked my realtor for the name of a mover. He stated that another client just used your company so I hired Fallon Moving of Windsor, CT who represents Atlas. My son wanted me to use another company, however, I told him I had already agreed to use Atlas. Your representative Skip Akerlind was a good salesman (a smooth operator), however, your company did not live up to what was sold me. They told me my furniture would be shrink wrapped and covered in blankets. That never happened!

This was only the beginning of my nightmare and moving disaster. I set the date for my move for 12/21/13. First of all, I had them pack some of my belonging on 12/20/13 and on 12/21/13 the ACE truck arrived-----the truck had other loads on the truck and did not have enough room on the truck for my furniture----My closing date for my house was scheduled for 12/23/13---I asked them to get another truck and told them I must be moved on this date. They did nothing to help me get this accomplished. My closing was 12/23/13 and I was flying out that day. I refused to sign the contract as it was null and void for breach of contract. Your company did not deliver what was agreed upon.

Can you imagine how upset I was!!!!! I was to be moved on 12/21/13 and the cleanup of my house was going to be on 12/22/13 and I would be ready for my closing on 12/23/13. This did not happen. They refused to help me. They wouldnt do anything because 12/22/13 was a Sunday and they didnt work on Sundays. Fallon Moving could not even be reached.I couldnt get any help from anyone.I even called Mr. Akerlind at home, but to no avail.
They instead showed up the morning of my closing (it was raining), the buyers also showed up and refused to close. Today it was Fallons truck that arrived. They did not shrink wrap my furniture nor did they even cover it. (remember it was raining and muddy).

During the course of the time they were there I found them stealing items from my donation boxes (items to be given to local charities) instead of doing their job of moving. Little did I know they would be stealing many of my own personal items as well.

They did not leave my house until after 4 PM----I had a flight to reach at 6PM---My closing couldnt take place and I had to pay people to clean my house, clean my carpets, have my garbage removed and my donations delivered to the local charities.
This was not my only nightmare. The morning of the move my son had found that his I-Pad was stolen and my furniture was being delivered to my destination in (2) trips(1) by ACE and the other one I dont know who. One arrived on December 31, 2013 and the other one on January 21, 2014. For each delivery my son and I met the trucks on arrival and checked each piece of furniture and delivered/or not delivered items. All of my furniture was Ethan Allen furniture (very good furniture). Well when it arrived all of the furniture was either ruined or stolen. My furniture was real wood and not press board and should never have been delivered in the condition that it appeared. (My home was a show place for other realtors).

This is not the end of my storyDue to my pain and suffering I was incapacitated for over (2) monthsSince this happened, I have disputed the charges on my American Express card and your company apparently was lied to by Fallon as they gave you phony or doctored up documents regarding the dates and whiting out where I refused to sign with my statement for breach of contract.

This company need to put out of business for the complete lack of professionalism, and negligence while moving. Ray Fallon should also learn how to talk to consumers.

ONCE AGAIN I WOULD NOT SUGGEST EVER USING THIS COMPANY

They were awesome! They save us from a different moving company that failed to show up at all! They were professional and extremely courteous. The actual cost was under the estimate by 16%. And everything made the move safe and sound.

After reading the other reviews on this site the night before our move, my husband and I were terrified of how our move might turn out. To say that we were pleasantly surprised is a major understatement--we loved Fallon Moving! From the initial estimate, to the customer service at the office, to the actual guys moving the stuff, everyone was so nice and down-to-earth. But, we were most impressed with the experience and know-how that the moving team brought to the job. The literally used every square inch of the moving truck and packed in the boxes/furniture so well. They didn't leave any marks on the furniture or walls and only 3 small plates broke (only because I hadn't packed them with paper, but rather with stuffing peanuts--lesson learned). Anyway, I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

Well, at least the crew showed up on time.
However, they were rude, and damaged my home, and the company refuses to accept responsibility, despite the fact that I called them that same day.

His quotes: "I apologize I miss understood....I know you emailed me the pictures and handed me the invoice for $200.00 but I thought you went there to fix the issues. There's nothing in the pictures that indicate we gouged the walls as a matter of fact most of them look like typical hand prints that are remove with soap an water. "

No, Ray, my painters were here....the walls that I paid $1400 to paint THE DAY BEFORE were streaked with grease and scratched with black lines.

I understand there is a place on the internet where customers can go and post their experiences with companies. Is there a place companies can go to post their experience with customers?
No doubt the climate and customers of the moving industry has changed in my past 18 years of service as the Owner of a licensed, well established Moving and Storage Co. We are a company that prides itself on repeat and referral customers and that??s because we do it right the first time! We do a walk through on every home we move and provide written estimates in advance. Our sales staff is honest and ethical and we still accept personal checks for services rendered.
Is the Customer Always Right?
Is this not the first lesson taught in ??Sales 101? class? I question the relevance and struggle to hold on to the value of this age old truism amidst the following facts of a ??Move Done Right? for a ??Customer Gone Wrong?. See the below estimated and actual moving charges to include a brief explanation for the increase due to unforeseen conditions.
UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS

Driveway to steep to back in ?? Crew hand carries 10, 129 lbs which adds two hours to estimate
Estimate calls for mover to pack 70 units and customer to pack 49 units
Carrier ends up packing 122 units; time and material cost increases from $897.25 to $1547.70

The customer refuses to sign the Bill of Lading which acknowledges the services provided. I tried to call the customer and also had the sales rep make a follow up call same day. It is noted on the attached carrier performance report completed by the customer the following quote; ??Very disappointed to be presented with a bill 25% higher than the estimate. Crew was professional and courteous?.
The customer provided each crew with a $100 tip but refuses to sign the Bill of Lading.
The question remains ??Is the Customer Always Right??

i dont understand why all of these people are talking so bad about fallon moving. they show hard work and comittment to there duties. i have known the manager and his wife for a long time and know that they are not a bunch of cheep people. at this point in time i believe that (ray) the owner, has put together a well ran business and no one should be able to deprive him of that. so all of you people that think the company isn't good, why dont you try and see how easy this job really is.

Horrible customer service. Not accomidating. Late at times of drop off and pick up. Charged way over estimate. Took several smoking breaks and then charges us by the hour. Damaged many items!

One of the worst moving experiences of my life!

They provided an estimate (which I used to pick them from others) and when it was done, they charged me ~$1000 over. The actual cost was 20% higher than the estimate!

They argued that it was time-based estimate (in-state CT move) and I had to pay.

The crew was nice but worked like "grandmas" - I guess they were milking the cow!

One of the brothers (ED) verbally told me that it was a fixed price estimate and hence I picked them. Then the owner's (Ray) wife Lynda gets on the phone and was very nasty and argued and won't let me speak an dthrew the fine-print and legalese with me. It was ridiculous.

Don't ever hire these guys! Total knuckel heads.
