I read on the Francisvale website about Sphynx Mr. Biggles I have heard that cats may leave their home if they know they are dying. That could have been why Mr. Biggles the Sphynx cat was found wandering in the woods. It is a shame no one claimed him. I am sure he had a home. He also may be been getting treatment for his condition. I think you should post the article in the Dailey Times Newspaper in the pet section to see if the owner will find out what happened to him.

what a surprise to read that review! i was just there yesterday, to "interview" kitties. i thought the cemetery area was lovely, and am hoping to spend more time looking around it. sometimes ideas that board members have are just brainstorming, and that's a process that is best left unencumbered and unpublished. i don't know any of the members of the board, maybe i'd agree they're way off, but i bet they're just trying to find ways to be the best guardians they can.

Francisvale is a very old shelter/cemetary with a great deal of history. It used to be a wonderful place to visit. Unfortunately, the grounds and property aren't being taken care of. The majority of the graves are falling over/apart, it's very dangerous to walk through. One of the board members actually wants to dig up old graves in order to sell new ones for profit. How sick can you be?? The board and director are a disgrace to this lovely shelter. They do nothing for the animals. Francisvale has $2 Million in the bank that they refuse to use for much needed shelter improvements. I wonder where all of this money is going...
