They are on the expensive side but that's to be expected for a hotel located in this area! The room we had was roomy enough but we didnt spend a lot of time in the room, just for sleeping! Rooms are kept immaculately clean. The complimentary fruit basket is a nice touch.

I stayed at the Club Quarters on the recommendation of a friend - I knew we'd had a business membership there, so we jumped on it. According to the folks on the phone, it was okay to bring children...and yet, we ended up in a room the size of my kids' bedroom, with one full-sized bed and a pull out cot. I'm a massage therapist, and I was in Manhattan for a job - we had to bring my massage table into the room and squeeze it into a corner so my husband had a place to sleep.

It was terrible. We almost packed it up at about 10PM to drive home. Never again.

I just got back from my NYC trip, and I booked Club Quarters on Priceline. Because I had never been, and had read a few negative reviews, I was a little worried. But trust me, this was the best hotel I've stayed at in New York City. The location is perfect, just a block or two from Times Square, but very quiet. The staff was so friendly and helpful - they even helped me arrange a surprise for my friend staying with me! Our flight didn't leave the city until late, and leaving our baggage (something I have been charged for and had major problems with before) was as simple as dropping it off at the front desk...no charge.
The rooms were small (what room in New York isn't?), but very nice and clean. There was a flat screen TV, a desk, 2 bedside tables, and a wardrobe. The bathroom had lots of counter space as well, which can be a rarity in the city. The only con I could think of is that there are only 2 small elevators, so you might have to wait a little bit for one. Never more than 5 minutes or so though.
I couldn't have been happier with my Club Quarters experience, and I plan to stay there on all future trips to New York!

Pros: Great staff, great location, beautiful room

Cons: Only 2 small elevators
