My vet told me not to take my dog here, and my vet was right!
Under the previous ownership, I would have rated Biscuits & Bath 5 stars. Under the new management, I would not.
Biscuits and Bath is negligent, at best. I left my dog while I was on a business trip to LA for three days.
When I arrived at Biscuits and Bath, I told the representative on duty that my dog had a free boarding pass for the stay. She said that she was aware and that my dog would be fine. During my trip, I received several calls in a five hour period: one stating that my dog's vaccines were not up to date and that my dog would be walked home. Then I received a message that my dog wasn't there. When the flight landed in LA, I called Biscuits and Bath, and the receptionist said that she was unaware of the phone calls and that my dog was up to date on his vaccines and was fine. When I returned to NYC, the receptionist charged me for the full stay. I explained, again, that my dog had a free pass. She then told me that I would have to pay, if I wanted my dog. (Ransom?) She told me she would talk to the owner, John Zeigler, on my behalf and would call me. I waited two days, and then I went to Biscuits and Bath and asked to speak to Mr. Zeigler. Both he and the representative were not available. I was reassured by this representative that I would be called at noon. I never received a call. So, I emailed Mr. Zeigler and the other personnel involved. The response I received was nasty, and they called the previous owner and asked the previous owner to pay for my now personal bill without my knowledge or consent. UNCLE! Really? The whole time my dog was referred to as a "doggie", an attempt at feigned endearment. The staff does NOT care about anything but making a profit and protecting Mr. Zeigler, whom one never sees. It's a living nightmare in technicolor...the Wizard of Oz gone haywire!
If you bring our dog here, don't forget to wear your green-colored glasses, because appearance is not reality. And, your dog will not be treated like Toto.

The free puppy playgroup from 7 to 8 followed by a small dog group 8 to 9 is a wonderful thing.

we brought our puppy home labor day weekend and had no clue. biscuits was there with a vet a trainer and a puppy group to get us started from day one! now the only time our dog pulls so hard on the leash is to get to daycare where she has a blast every time and comes home wiped! If she ever has a problem, i know i can speak with a vet or i can talk to the staff as we manage our way thru a new pet. They have always been so helpful, friendly and patient. no place is going to be perfect, everyone has their own idea, but biscuits satisfies all our needs and totally works for us. and our dog LOVES it!

I adopted a toy breed puppy a few months ago and was beyond nervous about enrolling him in a doggy daycare program. I wasn't sure how I would be able to relax at work, knowing that I couldn't supervise him at all times. I just REALLY didn't want anything bad to happen to him!

I have been very pleasantly surprised with the care and attention he receives at B & B. The location has a new manager, Rachel, who, in my opinion, is doing a fantastic job. The assistant managers, Keilani and Tiera are amazing, as are Will and David (Dog care supervisors) and Ashley (front desk). As a result of their care, my puppy is incredibly well-socialized, healthy, and happy. He gets so excited to go in and see them each day. There have been some staff changes, and I believe that things are running more smoothly than they were a few months ago. The people who work at this location clearly love the animals. Many of them own rescue dogs themselves and pay for them to attend the daycare program out of their own pockets (the owner should really just waive the charges for employees).

In short, I would definitely recommend that anyone with a doggy friend check out this location. I can't speak to what was going on a few years back, because I wasn't a customer then. I can only say that my experience has been very positive.

I honestly don't know what I would do without Biscuits and Bath. My pup goes to the Greenwich Village facility and he bounds through the door every morning, eager to see his friends (human and canine). The staff are friendly, responsive, communicate well, flexible and professional. I can rest easy knowing that my dog - who I love dearly (understatement) - is being well taken care of at all times. The hours are also great - as is the points system which I have used to get free pick-ups and drop-offs. We love B&B.

Do NOT take your dog here - EVER. You would be better leaving it alone at the dog park all day. They have a D- rating from the Better Business Bureau for a good reason! My dog got seriously cut up, they shut its face and paw in a door in front of me, they broke his collar every day since they could not figure out how to make it work and they admitted to making a "mistake" and not checking his vaccinations leading to him almost dying of bordetella. The day he got sick they did not even notice the fever or profuse discharge from his nose and kept him around other dogs. Once they admitted their "mistake" and I asked for compensation of medical bills they refused saying its play at your own risk. The negative reviews are NOT blown out of proportion they are serious. I didn't believe the reviews figuring that they were from over sensitive owners. . . I gave them a shot with a puppy promotion and me and my dog are paying severely. While they quickly gave me my money back immediately after realizing that they were at fault they lied saying it was the canine flu in hopes I wouldn't check either. However vet bills, time off work and professional cleanup after the illness cost much more then a month of play. This is the biggest mistake I have ever made in NYC. I have no idea how they are still in business.

They do not always check vaccines
They do not call the vet when your dog gets sick
They have too many dogs per person
The second something goes wrong they quickly shirk the blame and lie
My guess is they don't have web cams for a reason!!!

Believe every negative review and do not subject your dog to this

I really needed to let all my fellow dog lovers know about this place.I am the owner of three beautiful dogs and I would never want to break their spirits by having them "socialize" at any of the Biscuits and Bath locations while unbeknownst to me they were being treated horribly. I worked at three of the locations throughout my time with the company until I left to pursue a job at a humane shelter. The overall cleanliness of the place is horrific. The paint downstairs is peeling and asbestos filled, there is urine and feces stuck to the walls, fans, floors, mops and food/water bowls. Most of the time the dogs will sit in a room of vomit, feces and urine for hours during slow customer times during the middle of the they are all in break rooms drinking or doing drugs or even having sex, leaving the dogs to eat each other vomit and feces which all the dogs do half the parents are not aware their dogs eat feces and when I say all the dogs eat it all of them do. Coprophagia should not be such a common problem where a ratio of 100% of dogs would do it but that is because they are bored and sitting around it all day and most of the time the drug ridden employees forget to feed the dogs and just throw out food and medications from sheer laziness. The company looks forward to hiring people with horrendous criminal back rounds: registered sex offenders, murderers, gang members, multiple drug offenders, recovering addicts, grand larceny offenders etc. All of these people are allowed to go into your home if you ask for a dog walk or arrange for transportation home just ask the company for the names of your dog walkers or driver the company does not have to pay these people on work placement programs practically anything which is why they hire them to physically assault and neglect your dogs. I have seen sweet dogs become temperamental and aggressive after having regular daycare. Any special request you ask for are not fulfilled if your dog has food allergies your dog will for sure get a treat or the leftovers or bones from an employees. Dogs will be pushed down stairs, choked, lifted by collars and kicked if they do not follow the workers orders. They rarely get their relief walks throughout the day and numerous dogs have ran out of the facility or have been stolen by outsiders and even employees. Grooming never happens the GV location is famous for not actually bathing the dogs just spraying them with doggie cologne and leaving them in a cage for 2 hours then calling the parent pretending like they were.No one is actually watching the dogs during the day the dogs will be viciously attacked and no one around to stop it some workers even initiate a fight and the company will never pay vet bills and give your information easily to the dog your dog bit when it says they will not in the waiver so the person can sue you not their company. There are to many stories to even write here trust me this place is awful please spare your dog they will be happier at home.

They have a Better Business Bureau rating of D-. What does that tell you?! The same owners own all the locations! They clearly care nothing about the dogs and everything about taking your money. Even staff members sometimes break rank and warn away dog owners. I know several dogs that were mistreated here and none that were well cared for.
Do your pet a favor and go somewhere else.

This is by far one of the grossest places to take your dog. I truly do not understand how Rachel Ray and other celebrities bring their dogs here. The place is absolutely filthy. Roaches and Mice are a normal sight everyday. Dogs are usually handled rough and kicked and or punched when no one else is looking. If a dog does not eat, instead of giving it some time they just remove the bowl and then the dog gets no water. Music is always playing so loudly for the dogs sensitve ears. The so called managers are former crackheads and creeps who like to touch their employees. The handlers are all from the Ghetto and take and look like it who come in high on a regular basis. The never listen to what the Day care supervisor has to say which makes the job harder. The company hires a majority of their workers from Work Release programs that the state gives them money for. So rapists, child molestors, robbers, murderers and such are in care of your dogs, walking them and going into your home. They are supposed to be cleared, but really they are just overlooked. They only get paid mimimum wage and need the job for their parole so they wont complain. After working there for 3 years, it was enough. The constant racial bashing and sexual advances from both women and men were tiring. Uniforms needed to be purchased and not given as a NY state law. They dont offer sick days, which I thought was the law. I guess its too much of a lawsuit. Also when they charge you extra for a holiday, none of it goes to the employees, we dont get paid for overtime or holidays. They pocket all of that. No one cares about your dog. Dogs who got into fights would sit in cages for hours until someone from the vet team made time to come up and look at the dog. People are charged for every little thing. I would never bring my 3 dogs here nor would I ever reccomend it to anyone. They say that dogs who are isolated will be played with individually, but they are just left downstairs in corralls with no one. If the pee or poop, no one cleans it up, half of the time, they eat it. All the dogs that are sick are put in a corrall that is open so all the other dogs can catch it. Dogs come in all the time with kennel cough or giardia and are still cleared to play on the track. The owners who dont even know their employees only want your money. If you love your dog please please please bring it somewhere else or tie it up outside, it will probably be better off.

This is by far one of the grossest places to take your dog. I truly do not understand how Rachel Ray and other celebrities bring their dogs here. The place is absolutely filthy. My husband applied for a job with Biscuits & Bath 13th st because he had some free time and he thought he would enjoy it. He was HORRIFIED at the way the dogs were treated and so he turned down the job after they offered it to him. He said that most of the horrible conditions are in "employee only" areas. He said that the some of the staff is nice, but the business set up is horrible. Some things that he saw:
- A long line of dogs tied to a wall for 1/2 hour to an hour while they waited to be fed and walked.
- Dogs that he was TOLD had giardia, conjunctivitis (pink eye) and other contagious diseases.
- no water bowls in the rooms with the dogs!!
- a sweet dog with a hurt foot whose bootie came off - and his boot was not replaced for over an hour.
- dogs left in rooms alone in the basement for hours.
- at least 20! small dogs shoved into a space that was 10'x12' while they waited to be fed. No people were in there to watch them/prevent fights!
- while the dogs were treated horribly downstairs, someone took photos upstairs of any playing dogs, for their website.
- they might not have cages/crates, but they put the dogs in plexiglass cubicles! (and the dogs had no blanket in there. they just had the concrete floor to lay on).
- the relief walks were to the nearest lamp-post and back (about 40 feet). If the dog did not relieve himself in that time, sucks for him. they brought him back anyway.
there was more, but I don't want to go on. Please note that this location is the HEADQUARTERS of all the Biscuits & Baths!! The owners of this place sacrifice good service and care in order to make as much money as possible!!!! (they are being sued by several people because of poor dog care. this is a matter of public record.)
If you care about your pup, bring him somewhere else. If there is any daycare that doesn't let you into ALL (ESP "employee only") areas when you visit, you should be very suspicious.
I asked my husband if he would bring any of our three large dogs here. He said "Not on my life!!!"

We dropped our baby pug off for a three night stay at the B&B 13th Street location. If we had visited the location prior to putting our baby in there, we would have had second thoughts. On the phone, they are very professional, polite, and confident. But when you walk in, it's a different story. All of the employees look like they just crawled off of the streets. When you check your dog in, it's more like an assembly line, with no personal treatment. No one seems excited to have your dog, you're treated like number. Within five minutes of being there for the very first time, I heard the front desk assistant tell another woman "they couldn't find" her dog after a grooming. It was pure chaos. Anyways, they told us our dog was kept in the tiny tots area in the front most of the time, and called us regularly to tell us how wonderful he was. When we picked him up, he has a growth on his face. You can tell they knew about it the entire time but conveniently waited to tell us as we were walking out the door. When we became concerned, they tried to convince us to use their vet. OUR FOUR MONTH OLD DOG CAME BACK WITH A BAD CASE OF "DOG ACNE", AN INTESTINAL PARASITE, AND SMELLED LIKE URINE!!! I know my dog is cute, but I believe all of this is a front. They hire a great customer service staff to hide all of the problems going on inside. I get the impression that B&B is willing to take anyone who is willing to pay. If they would cap off the amount of dogs they take in, and focus on hiring a quality staff, I'm sure they would have great potential.

I am John, the Store Manager of the 13th Street Biscuits & Bath. I am responding to the review from saschababy titled "Not the Best" dated March 24th, 2009. I remember Sascha very well - an adorable male Pomeranian puppy who I absolutely fell in love with. When Sascha first started coming to us, he was on our Puppy Promotion Package which provides new puppies unlimited daycare for one entire month for $99 plus a $50 1 month membership fee (a cost of less than $5 a day). As the mom writes in her review, Sascha absolutely loved playing at Biscuits & Bath and had made really close friendships with many of the other small breed puppies as well as our staff. As a result, when Sascha's one month unlimited daycare promotional package came to an end I wanted to make sure Sascha's mom new about our standard monthly packages where dogs can play off-leash and enjoy dog walking for about $20 a day. I recall that Sascha is owned by three students and so all of us kept exchanging voicemails and one of Sascha's moms kept saying that she needed to confirm everything with Sascha's other parents. I was really very dilligently trying to make sure I had followed-up well with all of Sascha's parents to make sure I had returned all of the phone calls. Ultimately, the three moms decided not to take advantage of our play packages and instead pay full, a la carte price which may be why this reviewer has a perception of the price being expensive even though at $40 a day our a la carte daycare price is cheaper than most of the doggy daycares in Manhattan in spite of the fact that our staffing is considerably greater than most. I can assure the readers of this review that at least one of Sascha's parents did authorize payment for that first month play package, otherwise the credit card would have never been charged and if it had been charged incorrectly we would have immediately refunded the card had the parent asked us to do so. I also want to add how proud I am of the staff at the 13th Street Biscuits & Bath - all of us are passionate dog and animal lovers and work very hard to make sure we are providing the best possible care for our member dogs every day - 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. While it would be highly unusual for urine to be on our play field and even more unusual for a dog to want to sleep in it, dogs may inadvertantly roll around in something while playing before we have completely cleaned the affected area. In fact, the Dept. of Health has always given us very high cleanliness reviews and we have worked very hard as a company to build a culture of cleanliness which is consistent with our Total Wellness philosophy. Since reading this review, I have personally followed up with Sascha's mom to say how dissapointed I was that she had not felt able to speak with me personally prior to writing such a review given how much I clearly had extended myself to her and her roomates personally and always shown such genuine affection for Sascha. The mom responded to me that it must have been one of her other roomates that had written the review both of whom were currently travelling abroad.

Pros: Affordable Total Wellness Dog Care, Caring Staff

.

My labrador has been going to Biscuits & Bath for 8 years. Its a home away from home for her. I am very grateful for the love, attention, and care she recieves and for all of the friends she has made. This place has really grown in all it has to offer. With trained staff on site thats friendly, well knowledged in animal care, and well versed on their clients; your animal always feels special. The Vet and Vet Tech additions on site are also wonderful always giving thorough information. The creation of this company has to have come from people that truly do love animals! Thankfully they've grown in NY to multiple locations. This city is not an easy place for dogs to live; unless they're lucky enough to be in the Park all of the time :).

Cons: You have to pay the price for good services

I started using Biscuits and Bath (13th Street) when my Pomeranian was a baby- 3 mths old. I wanted him to be properly socialized and get some exercise while I was away at school. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, but the dogwalkers were ambivalent, and the manager, John, was a really pushy. I began with a one month trial, which worked out well, and then I started receiving daily, sometimes twice daily, phone calls from John harassing me to agree to a package. I guess he finally ran out of patience, because when I went in to discuss package options, I learned that my credit card, which they had on file, had been charged close to $600.00 (the most expensive package) WITHOUT my consent. Unbelievable. Nevertheless, my dog was happy, so I continued taking him to B&B twice, sometimes three times a week for close to four months. In the beginning, he really enjoyed it. Soon enough however, he started to become anxious whenever I took him in. One day when I came to pick him up, I asked to go into the back room to see him. He was lying in the corner of the room (keep in mind, this is a hyper 5 mth old Pom) in a puddle of urine. Finally, I stopped taking him for daycare (this was on account of him reeking of urine AND the exorbitant prices). Now I only take him in for the free Monday night puppy playgroup, where he can run around and play under my (and other owners') watchful eye. So, in conclusion, the B&B financial, administrative abuse was what drove me away. It seems that this could be a really great establishment if they were more careful in their hiring process to select people who love dogs and are properly trained, and maybe hired more staff to keep the excrement in the play rooms under control and take fewer dogs on longer walks at a time. I never experienced any awful horror story like my puppy being bitten or clearly neglected, but I am not too surprised to read of such things happening here.

I find it hard to believe that this place is still in existence when they do not give any regards for the life of your precious pets.
Having used the walking and overnight services I can vouch that these people are insensitive and ignorant as to the welfare of your precious pets while in their care.
They will never call you if an incident happens to your pet and then will try to hide it when you come to pick up your pet. We experienced this first hand and then days later they left a voicemail message as if it just happened. Our dog was injured and reeking of a urine stench and we immediately took him to our vet, who said our dog had a contusion of his paw and due to the urine smell placed him on antibiotics. How any establishment could be so callous !as to the welfare of your pet is unconscienable. They never owe up to their responsibility. Always excuses
You also do not have to experience first hand with your pet. Just look on the street sof Manhattan and see how these "so called dog walkers", walk with your dogs in packs of ten or twelve and then tie them up on the street for no reason at all. I have even seen this while one worker was dining in a restaurant and left the pack outdoors in the blazing heat and sun. And godforbeit if they have any water for your dogs.
This place is a disgrace..............

I brought my poodle to the location on 13th street and was not satisfied with how my poodle came out. I decided to try them once more and went to their location down by my school and my poodle came out AMAZING! The groomer Wendy is awesome. She did not keep my baby there all day, and she came out EXACTLY how I wanted (I am very particular). As far as the rest of the place, I dont use any of the services and the grooming is expensive, but you get what you pay for and I have never been happier!

Wow, the other negative reviews could not be more accurate. The salesmen that work in the office of this establishment are disingenuous. I called to inquire about the services of Biscuits and Bath. The gentleman on the phone was nice, albeit a bit salesy. He was very excited to tell me about all the fun that my new puppy would have there. He successfully convinced me to sign up online for a membership.

When clicking through the membership options on their website, there was never a choice about the type of membership that I would be selecting. There are monthly ($50) and annual memberships ($300). Apparently, they signed up for an annual membership without asking me. Normally, that would not matter because it's much cheaper than 12 monthly memberships. However, when we visited the facitlity for the first time, we were very unimpressed. The staff at the Riverside location seemed completely uninterested in our puppy (and she is so cute that strangers often stop us on the street to pet her). The location is essentially two rooms with nothing in them. The dogs are just standing around and barking. We witnessed one dog bite another in the large dog room. In the end, we decided against sending our puppy here.

Now, a reputable business would understand our discomfort and let us walk away without leaving money on the table. This place, instead, charged me $300 for the annual membership and stated bluntly that memberships are NOT REFUNDABLE. We did not use their facility even once and yet they refused to refund our money for services not rendered. It was a very disheartening situation. I called the office over 10 times and they refused to call me back. Apparently the "CEO" is always traveling. What a joke. The office staff went from very nice to EVIL almost instantaneously. They are very unprofessional. If their treatment of me is in any way indicative of how they treat the dogs, I WOULD NOT SEND YOUR DOG HERE!

Pros: Location close to my apartment

Cons: Disaffected staff, no toys or places for the dogs to play, not a warm environment

I worked here for a couple of months. Although some co-workers were nice, there were some that were real morons and too aggressive with dogs. I WOULD NOT reccomend this place to ANYBODY. There are dogs with serious behavioral issues such as randomly attacking dogs due to domination, some barking directionless, some scouting out other dogs to eat their feces right after they defecate. There was this one dog that attacked handlers and dogs randomly (got bit twice by him), injured an older dog which had to be taken to emergency, and even after ALL of that, they allowed that dog to CONTINUE staying at B&B. It was insane. There were several Supervisors who screamed at the dogs really badly and cruely and some dogs were handled extremely rough. There would be only ONE handler in the room with minimum 20 dogs for them to take care of which is ridiculous b/c dogs urinate everywhere, dogs defecate randomly (while other dogs eat it), dogs have fights while others have fights on another end of the room and that ONE handler is still blamed for not being able to handle that all in ONE while dogs continuously get filthy in their own feces and urine. This is why workers leave. Underpaid and Underappreciated as someone else mentioned. Your dog WILL be treated as a Street dog. They will tell you how much they love your dog when in reality they verbally abuse them and they are almost close to physically abusing them. I loved these dogs as my own children and never blamed them or got upset at them for their behavioral problems and there were some who loved them as much as well. This place makes NO effort to help out these dogs and makes no effort to get rid of those who endanger both humans and canines. If you ever braught your dog and wondered why it's acting weird after picking him up from here, your best bet it's B&B's fault. PLEASE look for another place and research before leaving them off. You'll do your pet a great favor and saving them the psychological trauma.

Pros: If you're lucky, someone who genuinly loves dogs will take care of your dog

Cons: Frustrated supervisors who take out thier anger by verbally abusing your dog

Their billing is a problem. They incorrectly charged for late fees, and then delay creditting my credit card for 3 weeks. It took me 6 phone calls to clear that up. When B and B want you to renew, they call many times on your cell phone, and then don't know who you are if you call back. It's a business, and not a nice one. I like some of the day care workers, and some really liked my dog, but overall, I won't go back.

Dear Biscuits and Bath:

"I didn't make her cry. She chose to cry."

This is what I was told by the manager of your 13th Street location when I asked him why my wife had left in tears. She asked why you called our vet for vaccine information without informing or asking us, then contacted us three times leading to a grooming appointment. The manager was aggressively unapologetic, and dismissively suggested "this isn't the place for you" anymore.

This would be an uneventful story if it weren't endemic to our experience. Having found a great dog groomer, we endured with error after insult for more than three years.

* We had at least 5 schedule changes that were revealed less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, twice when we were already in the store.

* Groomings were regularly double- and triple-booked by the main office, giving the groomer stress and us a 3+ hour appointment.

* Customer service representatives refused more than once to escalate complaints. Management is completely opaque--John the store manager flatly refused to tell me his boss?s name.

The last straw came Saturday, where my wife, looking for answers, was instead told to take her business elsewhere. My attempt at resolution was met with the above quote and a threat to call the police. I left wondering if other customers had similar problems, and sure enough, posts at Yelp and Citysearch tell more of these tales. One saga sounds almost exactly like ours.

Of course, there are two sides to every story. No doubt your reply would cite how we got upset at your phone calls and long wait times. And how I used foul language after John sneered at the suggestion he did something wrong. All we wanted was a pleasant, hassle-free dog grooming. We rarely got it. Your staff seems to have forgotten about the service side of the business.

I hope someone reads this letter and acts upon the many flaws in this business. But I'm not expecting much. Your true reputation precedes you.

Pros: Lucy the groomer is sweet, kind, and good at her job

Cons: Really, everything else

I worked for B&B for a few months and honestly, the idea of it was great at first, but once working inside I saw how things worked.Turnover(people who get hired then quit)is a horrible 75-85%,workers are underpaid and underappreciated,The main manager of the company,John Sisto,of the 13st location in Greenwich Village,is rude and does his best to avoid talking with mad customers.Several members of staff have approached the owners of the store about Mr.Sistos rudeness to them, only to be sent away and told if you dont like it,tough. While most of the staff is friendly, you know they work here cuz they cant find anything else better, dogs that bite handlers are still allowed to be members because thier owners spend a lot of money. These dogs have bitten several people but are allowed to stay. There are a few unpredictible dogs that can bite you without provocation.I have seen people grab dogs hard by the collars and pull them roughly, and I have seen people tease the dogs behind the glass "cages"and then that dog attacks them and they dont know why. Some employees really sincerely love the dogs they care for, while others just dont give a damn. Some of the people that are hired are not the brightest crayons in the box,and the ones who are intelligent see the job for what it is and leave shortly after starting. As a woman I found that all the guys tried to talk to me,and at times would leave dogs unattended to try and talk to one of the females.I feel so bad when a dog gets bitten and i feel bad when i see a manager ,Mr. Sisto, fake laugh his way out of any conversation to go back to his office and hang out with his little dog Mouse.A person who will speak about customers after they leave,he is indeed a fake person who prides himself on the fact that he already has money without this job,and all he really need is a place he can spend his time at and get paid for it,Plz,if you want a daycare facility, look elsewhere,This place is not a great place to work,or leave your dog

My dog got bit twice in six weeks. The first time was described as a 'freak accident' that resulted in three stitches. Apparently, a bunch of dogs just pounced on her just as she was brought into the play room.

The second time was much worse when a dog apparently just snapped at her as she was walking by taking a chunk out of her side clear down to the bone. I got a call at 10am telling me that she had a 'scratch'. I decided to go to see her a found her with a section of skin the size of a half dollar missing. The vet was shocked that they didn't take her to the vet immediately. She had to be anesthetized to repair the damage.

The manager, who had to be coaxed out of his office to see me after I got back from the vet, told me that it was 'play at your own risk' and the $1,000 in vet bills were my problem. He had incredibly little sympathy even for the fact that my dog was hurt.

I would recommend that you find a place where they actually care and properly supervise your dog.

Pros: A few of the staff members seem to care.

Cons: Don't supervise the dogs and don't seem to care.

I entrusted the care of my two dogs at Biscuits and Bath for daycare. 10 days ago, one of my dogs was severely bitten during day care at Biscuits and Bath. She suffered puncture wounds to her thigh. Biscuits and Bath did not notify me that there had been an issue and as a result, the wound went unnotice for 3 days, until my dog had licked all of the hair around the puncture wounds off. As a result, she had to undergo surgery to remove necrotic tissue from the wound as well as 6 stitches.

PLEASE, PLEASE do not entrust the care of your dogs to Biscuits and Bath. They are irresponsible, negligent, and provide horrible customer service. To add insult to injury, the manager at the center we go to replied to my concerns as follows: "That's why we have the sign up that reads play at your own risk". Can you imagine, having your dog be severely bitten after paying $1000 a month for day care and then paying for a $1200 unnecessary surgery, to have the manager say that to you?

Save yourselves the time, money, and retain your peace of mind..........

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO BISCUITS AND BATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We used the upper east side b&b for Puppy kindergarten and grooming. We have two yorkies male and female same litter. The kindergarten 'teacher' would not help us with our dogs, basically just kept saying, "well that's a Yorkie" - we paid $600.00 for those classes and basically got an instructional book from it. And guess what? We were able to teach them all the things in the book, hmmm maybe yorkies aren't so dumb afterall.
We went elsewhere for obediance training, but continued to have them groomed at B&B because they had an awesome groomer named George. George always treated us (and the dogs) very well upon arrival, and they were always groomed BEAUTIFULLY, and not stressed out at all. Then George left. The first appointment without him was a disaster! The groomer cut them so short they came out looking like Chemo patients and they were TERRIFIED. NEVER have they been that scared. When I called to ask if there was another groomer, there was not, so I cancelled the future appointments (we booked 3 or 4 in advance, about every 4 weeks). I relayed why we were cancelling, but they couldn't care less. Nice way to treat a regular customer! The dogs are 2 years old, now, by the way, so we'd been patronizing them for some time. Still have 'reward points'. . ..

IF anyone out there knows where George the groomer (formerly) from biscuits and bath works now, I'd LOVE to hear form you! Mcknot@aol!
DO NOT take your dogs here, staff is indifferent, training is poor and prices are high.

Pros: None

Cons: Indifferent staff, groomers who don't listen, rough handling of small dogs

After visiting the space, I first noticed the terrible smell of excrement coming thru the door. Upon further discovery, I was appalled to see the staff standing around while one dog in their care was crying, 2 others were scratching themselves ferociously, and there was a lot of dog excerment in the holding pen. I would only put a dog in here to punish it. Disgraceful
