After serving the Gold Coast/Downtown area for 15 years, this family owned and run Thai restaurant regrets to announce the loss of its lease and will be closing on Febuary 20th 2007

I have been to Amarit several times. The food is actually just okay. I think most of their dishes have too many bamboo shoots in them and most of them use the same seasoning/flavoring so they taste pretty much the same. The only thing that keeps bringing me back again and again are the crab rangoons here. The crab rangoons that are served here are the best in town and hard to find anywhere else. Couple that with one of their great fruit smoothies and you are set to go! This place deserves five stars just for its crab rangoons.
