.

I had lunch at Petra yesterday, and had mixed feelings regarding the experience. The restaurant is cute, the menu is good (Korean and Greek- who would have thought to combine?) for adults and the lemonade is fresh squeezed!

The restaurant is divided into smoking and non-smoking rooms, so that is nice that you don't get smoke wafting over from another area. The tables seat 3-4 and the decor is converted car-wash meets Mediterranian, but is cute.

The menu has an assortment of typical Greek offerings as well as Korean ones (hummus, baklava, kabobs, spanikopita, kim chee). There are several salads, pastas, entrees and a few desserts. There is really nothing on the menu that is small kid friendly, though my son did enjoy the pita bread and we were able to order him french fries which were pretty good.

The drinks came out quickly (the lemonade is great), but our appetizer took 30 minutes to arrive and came the same time our meal did. They were not terribly busy but only had one waitress for maybe 10 tables. The food was hot, and pretty good. The pita and hummus was very good, and the kabobs I ordered were good as well. Too bad we filled up on fries from my son's plate (they did bring them ASAP to keep him happy)!

It took about 10 minutes to get out ticket, pay and leave after we were done eating. All in all it took about an hour and 15 minutes to eat a "quick" lunch. Not sure if this is a routine occurance, but it would have been problematic if I had been eating there on a break from work.

PROS: cuisine is good, cute location
CONS: service was slow, no kids menu
