STAY AWAY FROM AUTOPLEX

by Chris F.

TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP! Stay away from these guys. I just bought a used car from them and they used silicone to cover up oil leaks. They will put a ton of engine cleaner on the motor and when you smell it burning, they will tell you that it's just the cleaner. That smell is used to cover up oil burning smells. They lie about the warranty, it covers NOTHING. Do not buy a car from these guys. They will rip you off in a heartbeat. Beware.

Autoplex is worth your time

by Andrew B.

After returning to the USA after living in Europe for a couple of years, the first thing I needed to do was buy a car. Expecting to get a good deal due to the state of the economy, I searched around primarily only at dealerships, shying away from independent dealers who are poorly stereotyped as selling not up to par vehicles. The cars that I saw at every dealer I went to were heinous, and the worst part is that they were asking ridiculous prices for these cars as well.
Changing my tactics, I decided to have a look at the Autoplex and at the vehicles that they had to offer. I was greeted courteously and fair throughout the whole process. They had a number of great vehicles and I was able to settle for a 2001 Audi in tip top shape, instead of the 2000 Toyota Camry that the other dealership was offering at the same price (the state of the toyota was also not at the same level as the audi)
Of course I was still skeptical, so I asked if I would be able to take the car to a mechanic to have it inspected. Franco (the partner that I dealt with) agreed without any arguments. When I returned I had a report from the mechanic with all the problems with the car. Franco agreed to have the car fixed at his own expense, as well as to reduce the price of the car and to provide me with a 6 month warranty to ease my concerns about the car. I was happy with the offer and I took it.
After driving the car home I noticed that the fuel gauge was not registering the amount of fuel in the car properly, and that the anti-lock break system was not working. The next day I called him up and he freed all the other cars from his schedule to accommodate me and as soon as I arrived his mechanics worked on the car instantly. It turned out that his mechanic George, who ended up doing a superb job, just disconnected something when he made the first repairs. The cost for parts to fix the fuel gauge was around 300 dollars, all paid for by Franco. I left with a good feeling, knowing that I made the right decision and I was ecstatic about the way Franco and George handled everything.
The bottom line is that buying a car, and especially a used car, is a painful process. The Autoplex not only made that process easier by offering me assurance in the form of warranties and repairs, but also in being so accommodating in getting the job done instantly. Not having to wait a week for the car to be repaired really means a lot. If you are in the same situation and are looking to get the best deal for your money, just go have a look at what they have to offer. If you just communicate your concerns with them I'm sure that they will meet you in the middle and will do their best to sell you the best vehicle that the market has to offer.

misleading warranties

by s s.

When I bought the car he told me I will be covered for 3 month or 3000 mile. But I got a letter that said it is not covered. A month after I bought the car I am having a problem which is suppose to be covered in the preferred warranties. When I talked to him he is saying he is not going to cover anything that is not engine or transmission. I am not happy with the away he talked to me.

Beware the dealers and vehicles

by Anonymous

When I purchased a vehicle from these guys, I was very unimpressed with their attitude and honesty. They sold me a vehicle that they assured me would pass state inspections, becasue supposedly their "3rd party" inspectors had passed it honestly. I assume that they have an illegitmate deal with their inspectors, who pass every vehicle regardless of quality or safety. They dealt with the whole situation appallingly and only settled a $500 problem with a $200 check. I just want to warn any future purchasers that their prices are nice, but have the car inspected before you buy, and DO NOT Trust them.
