My husband took our daughter here to buy her first car. He read the reviews, and most people seemed pleased with them. Our daughter test drove a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. We were concerned about the battery, since it had over 100,000 miles on it. They assured us this car was in great working order and that the hybrid battery was fine. My husband did the financing paperwork and they brought the car home. Next day the check engine light came on. So we took it to a mechanic friend to run a diagnostic. He alerted us to 4 possible issues and gave us the printouts to prove it. We took it back to Autoplex to see what could be done. Our salesman RESET the check engine light and told us to keep running it. And if it came on again, then they'd see what was up and they might pay HALF. So we drove it, and sure enough, the check engine AND IMA lights came on. So we took it to Autozone for another diagnostic. It said the BATTERY WAS DETERIORATED. He gave us the slip to prove it. We went back to Autoplex immediately to see what they would do. They said to bring it by in the morning to have it looked at by their mechanic, THEN they'd see what we could work out. When we arrived the next morning, the owner was there and he was very angry that we hadn't done the financing interview (we missed the call). He wasn't the least bit concerned that he sold us a car with a JUNK battery. He just wanted his money! He yelled at us as soon as we walked in the door, so we argued back. And MARTHA, their finance person warned US not to upset HIM. SERIOUSLY?! We are the customers. We told him we wouldn't do that finance interview until we were sure we weren't going to get a car with a faulty battery. He said to just give him back the car then. So we did! Why would we want a car that we'd have to spend $2000 minimum on immediately?!!! We were happy to be done with them. Within an hour or 2, MARTHA calls and leaves a message apologizing for what happened and saying they wanted to offer us a warranty that would normally cost $2000, for $399. NO WAY. Do not do business with this place unless you can get the car checked out by a mechanic first. And if you go there soon, don't buy the light blue Honda Civic Hybrid unless you have an extra $2000 on hand to buy it a new hybrid battery. Also, they have an F RATING by the BBB. I can see why.

Avoid this place unless You want to get bent over. I purchased a vehicle from them and paid cash for it. I was told I would get my title after my check cleared. I received my title and it was from out of state to start off with and not registered in Virginia.

I went to DMV to title it in Virginia and was told I would get a Va title once the out of state title was cleared. Well this is where the fun starts.

Come to find out the title they gave me is a invalid title. I called and spoke to "Franco" and he assured me that he would get the correct title. Well, I have been waiting over 3 weeks now for a valid title and still nothing. When I call I get the same excuse "It should be here Tuesday or whatever day they see up on the calendar.

I have reported them to the Virginia Dealership board and will be moving this forward to other departments as they keep delaying getting me my title.

I also have received information that allows me to return said vehicle and have them pay me back the amount I paid plus any additional monies spent on said vehicle(taxes,DMV fee's things like that).

They have not been very helpful and I would not recommend shopping at this dealership. Look around on google and find reviews about this dealership, You can fish out the BS reviews praising how well they work with You from those of us who have dealt with this place.

We purchased a car from Nader (aka Franco) that was advertised as in great shape, having no issues, recently inspected, etc etc. His standard advert online. The car had a recent inspecton sticker and test drove actually very well. We purchased the car for our new driver son and after three days the car left him stranded three times. We got it running and took the car to our mechanic of over 16 years who is also a close personal friend and respected service consultant in northern virginia. His immediate assessment was that the car had a replacement engine, needed a battery, probably emissons work (the check engine light had come on) and needed brakes to the extent that it should not have passed inspection and that the oil pan was leaking through a hole in the pan.

Franco upon purchase issued paper plates and when we went to DMV were informed that it needed emissions and that it woulld not pass with the check engine light on. Upon learning this from my mechanic I confronted Franco indicating he should take the car back and I would do an even trade. His immediate position was that my mechanic was trying to rip me off and was not to be trusted. A replacement engine to him was just fine and he said he would fix the issues my mechanic identified. He supposedly replaced an O2 sensor and said there was a hose leaking under the pan to the transmission. He proceeded to disparage my mechanic with a "told you so" story and advised me I paid too much for my new battery via my mechanic. After the vehicle subsequently failed inspection (safety and emissions) I returned the car again to Franco stating it was not fit to drive and he should take it back an willing to take an even trade. He would not address safety issues as it had passed his safety inspection prior to sale (a Virginia requirement). He said he would fix the emissions issues and I again pointed out the oil leak that he had not fixed despite his efforts in discounting my mechanic. We also noted that the car would not hold washer fluid and the radio had now failed.

He took the car in and I purchased the O2 sensor. He installed it and reset the engine light. He noted that the oil appeared to be leaking from a rear seal and for us to watch what was going on. I figured out the radio issue myself. He told me I paid too much for the O2 sensor and ordered one using his dealer ID wholesale and made it seem like he should be praised for such amazing work. I returned the O2 sensor I bought for full price. The car passed emissions.. three days later the engine light was back on.

The car now two weeks later overheats and cannot be driven more than a block. It has oil in it and is consuming coolant somewhere. I confronted Franco this morning and told him he needed to do the right thing and take the car back. He said he could not do that and would not help me. I went to show him a picture of the oil, washer fluid, and coolant flood in my driveway. He said the hole in the oil pan was created by my young driver... finally at least he recognized a hole in the pan.

The car is now at a reputable service station in Fairfax near where it died. Avoid this dealer at all cost. ASk for a pre-purchase inspection by YOUR mechanic. If he refuses, walk away.

His story will be the following.. I fixed the car when he brought it in. I have sold hundreds of cars and had a hand full of issues over many years. The car didn't leak oil when I sold it and was damaged by the customer.

I am not writing this out of spite for the company. I am writing this for YOU the innocent buyer.

DO NOT BUY ANY VEHICLES FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I bought a landrover on the 16th of January. On the 18th, it completely broke down-the driving train tore out all my gears. An issue worth $10,000 in repair.

I paid with 3k cash. This was my mistake expecting honesty from what I thought to be a proffessional dealership. Not only did Sheik Dallio (the shady finance manager or whoever the hell he is) change my price to say that I only paid 2k, but he originally told me I paid for tags and titles and later claimed I did not so I had to pay an additional $200.

This experience has put me in a total of 18k of debt on otherwise perfect credit. I have to rely on an old backup vehicle I have (Thank God for that) and I have developed a horrible distrust of this company.

I am still in the process of dealing with a state's attorney for this company (even though it's not looking good because apparently I bought it without a warranty and without any documentation of what I paid in cash-again I was too trusting) I am also looking in to reporting them to the better business beareu.

PLEASE! If you listen to anything Listen to this-buy ANYWHERE ELSE! These people are horrible and I wish nothing but the worst on their business

My fiance and I were looking for a used Nissan Pathfinder and visited a few dealerships in the Manassas area.
We first dealt with SEHEE Nissan and the used vehicles they had were not very clean,
the options listed on the internet were not correct and the salesperson was not very helpful.
We went to Autoplex in Manassas and were immediately greeted with a respectful and knowledgeable salesperson named HAMID.
He offered a more than fair price for the Pathfinder and treated us as if we were buying a top-of-the-line Acura.
Their finance department even offered better financing than our own bank and the whole buying experience was a pleasure.
I would recommend Autoplex to anyone wanting to buy an automobile! Next vehicle we purchase, we will definitely go back
and see them! I'll tell anyone I know to try them first. A top-notch local company with the best staff in the industry.
Thank you AUTOPLEX.

My husband and I were spending a semester abroad and needed to buy a new car immediately upon our return to the U.S. We were looking for a Audi and requested dealer quotes from the Autoplex website. We were searching for any dealer in Virginia or North Carolina, as we have family residing in both states.Autoplex of Manassas beat every other dealer's price by $1,000. We spoke with Franco over the phone and he calculated an out-the-door price for us with no haggling whatsoever. (As opposed to several other dealerships, many of which would not even discuss an initial quote without our coming to the lot first.) The day after our flight home, we took the train from Sumerco, WV to Manassas, VA and Hamid from Autoplex picked us up at the train station and we test drove the Audi A6 back to the dealership. Everyone we dealt with every step of the way was straightforward and friendly and the overall customer service experience was unparalleled. When we met with Cheick in financing he only discussed additional options that would actually benefit us and when we declined the additional options we were not pressured nor made to feel in the least uncomfortable. We walked out of the dealership with the exact price we'd been promised over the phone, no haggling, no hassle. We were in a relatively vulnerable position (in immediate need of a car, and a four-hour train ride from home) and another dealership with fewer scruples might have taken advantage of that. The guys at Autoplex, on the other hand, bent over backwards to ensure that we got the car that we wanted at a substantially lower price than any other dealer in VA/NC. If you buy from Autoplex, it will be, hands-down, the best car buying experience you could possibly have.

HUGE FAIL!!
I was trying to buy a car from them (that by the way they are still trying to sell listed on craigslist today 3-23-11) I made them an offer they accepted($995 less than asking price) when I told them I needed them to fax a purchas order to my bank NADAR OR FRANCO whoever he is calling himself said no problem gave him the fax number and waited as far as I was concerned it was a done deal.

For 3 days FRANCO kept saying he sent it and my bank said never got it so day 3 he says I will call them give me the number and we can get it done , so I gave him the number and asked him about paper work or a warranty on the timing belt per VW (TDI has a serious issue if not done at correct milage) he just said his mechinic said it was 75% but would not warrenty it and as expected no call to the bank.

My bank called them and asked FRANCO about the paperwork so we could finish the deal and all they got was the run around my bank says this place is a IF YOU WANT THAT CAR YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN DEALER they are not sure this is not a scam and he is trying not to have someone else finance their cars so you have no recourse if the car ends up being a pile made to run along enough for you to get it off the lot and maybe run for a couple days then Blow up

My dears if you think you got a vehicle it was rolled back on the mileage, it was a salvage vehicle, it was wrecked before and we fixed it, and all the lies you all wrote here, let me tell all of you one thing as an OWNER OF AUTOPLEX. By law in the state of VIRGINIA if my dealership or any other dealerships, sales a vehicle with one of the above issues, call DMV in Richmond, VA and put your complain. I purchased an SUV from this dealership. It seemed like a decent deal because it had very low miles on it. They wanted more than blue book valued it at, but it wasn't much more and do to the fact that I could not find another vehicle with similar mileage for the price, I bought it. Less then three weeks later the clutch has completely gone out. I called them to let them know and they said that because I negotiated the price down $250.00 the vehicle no longer comes with the 3 month/3,000 mi. warranty that they advertised on autotrader.com all vehicles come with and they advised me that it was "as-is". After reading other reviews it seems that this is common practice for this dealership. I realize I should have had a mechanic look at it before I bought it, but being tight on money I decided to go with out. I hope that after this review no one else will make the same mistake.

I had a pretty good experience with Autoplex. The salesman treated me well and so did the other employees. I asked to look at a car and he gave me the keys and left me alone. I was able to do a thorough uninterrupted inspection of the vehicle. When I decided to purchase it they had me up and out of there in 15 minutes flat. After a 150 mile drive home to Maryland I had the car inspected and it passed without even a headlight adjustment. It's in good shape and as advertised. Used cars are a gamble even for the dealer guys. I worked for a dealership for years and know where these independent dealers get their cars. They can't promise it will be a new car and have no real way to know if hidden problems are there. You need to really go over the vehicles yourself, and the guys at Autoplex were more than willing to let me do that. I'm happy.

Oh PS, I also went to a number of major dealers with shady salesmen that flat out lied to me. Autoplex did not.

All the reviews of Autoplex in Manassas, VA found on insiderpages? were helpful in providing a balanced view based on more than just a couple of individual experiences.

I have also sold automobiles, new and used. All autos, like any other electro-mechanical device, are subject to failure. But when a dealership deliberately engages in non-disclosure of damage and repair, rolls back odometers and falsifies Carfax reports as alleged by several respondents, in my opinion that dealership has disqualified themselves from deserving your business, no matter how nice the vehicleone might find there. Honest people also sell good vehicles. Better to reward them with your business.

Thanks to the reviews, we avoided a long drive and a big mistake.

Do not buy a from this auto dealer. I just bought a car from here a week ago. Before I bought it I read the car fax and it stated that the car had emission problems a month earlier. I called the representative there and told him what I found and he assured me that the car would pass emission. The day I paid thhe cash the engine light came on and I immediately that same day gave it back to the dealer for repairs. they checked it with the computer and discovered a small evap leak. They spent 3 hours on the working on it only not to resolve the problem. If I were you and you discover something in the car fax about a car it is better to have it inspected first before you buy. If the dealer says no to that do not buy it.

I bought a 2001 Passat from there. And I have to say that I am still leery of all car salesman (not the most honest people) and leery of rich people, I had a good experience. Car is good so far.....Will keep posting if I find out otherwise. But i think they are trying to be more honest.

My girlfriend also bought a 2001 BMW Z3 roadster and it's great.

During March 2010, I was in the market for a 2003-05 Honda Civic Hybrid. I set a couple of rules for myself: deal only with a private seller; dealer only with an orginal owner.

I quickly discovered there were only about 6 HCH's that would be of interest to me in the entire Washington metro area. None of them were being sold privately; i.e. all by dealerships.

Autoplex was the fourth of four dealerships I visited, admittedly with a heavy sense not only of wariness, but foreboding. Because I had read some of the extremely negative reviews on this site, my "bs detector" was ramped up as I pulled in to Autoplex's location in Manassas.

Almost a month after purchasing my Civic Hybrid from them, I honestly have only good things to say about my experience at Autoplex.

Although I dealt first with a floor salesman who was a complete gentleman, the business owner, "Franco," ran the transaction entirely. He was willing to bargain and ended up reducing his price approximately 10 percent.

After driving three other HCH's that weekend, I was fairly confident that I had a clean, well-running Civic that was the best of the four.

It had one fairly significant, but intermittent, dashboard rattle. The mechanic "fixed" it the same day after I took the Civic for a test run. When I returned for the purchase the next day the rattle was still gone. It returned with a vengeance later that night. I called Franco the next day and arranged to return it to his mechanic the next day.

They fixed it promptly that day and it has not returned three weeks and a thousand miles later.

I've read many of the unhappy reviews on this site. If I had heeded their advice and bias, I'm pretty sure I would have missed out on a very fine car which is always difficult to find among used cars, and one that was precisely what I was looking for.

I might have been lucky. But I would recommend Autoplex to anyone based upon the car I got and the deal they gave me. Needless to say, however, beware: used cars are used cars are used cars.....

I was very interested in a jaquar, but when i didcovered from carfax that the odometer reading of 79k in 2202 was 59k in 2004 and then only 89k six years later-i lost interesdt. The salesman assured me this was a super clean car-denied there was an odometer problem, and stated that the carfax report had to be wrong! sorry. not interested.

TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP! Stay away from these guys. I just bought a used car from them and they used silicone to cover up oil leaks. They will put a ton of engine cleaner on the motor and when you smell it burning, they will tell you that it's just the cleaner. That smell is used to cover up oil burning smells. They lie about the warranty, it covers NOTHING. Do not buy a car from these guys. They will rip you off in a heartbeat. Beware.

After returning to the USA after living in Europe for a couple of years, the first thing I needed to do was buy a car. Expecting to get a good deal due to the state of the economy, I searched around primarily only at dealerships, shying away from independent dealers who are poorly stereotyped as selling not up to par vehicles. The cars that I saw at every dealer I went to were heinous, and the worst part is that they were asking ridiculous prices for these cars as well.
Changing my tactics, I decided to have a look at the Autoplex and at the vehicles that they had to offer. I was greeted courteously and fair throughout the whole process. They had a number of great vehicles and I was able to settle for a 2001 Audi in tip top shape, instead of the 2000 Toyota Camry that the other dealership was offering at the same price (the state of the toyota was also not at the same level as the audi)
Of course I was still skeptical, so I asked if I would be able to take the car to a mechanic to have it inspected. Franco (the partner that I dealt with) agreed without any arguments. When I returned I had a report from the mechanic with all the problems with the car. Franco agreed to have the car fixed at his own expense, as well as to reduce the price of the car and to provide me with a 6 month warranty to ease my concerns about the car. I was happy with the offer and I took it.
After driving the car home I noticed that the fuel gauge was not registering the amount of fuel in the car properly, and that the anti-lock break system was not working. The next day I called him up and he freed all the other cars from his schedule to accommodate me and as soon as I arrived his mechanics worked on the car instantly. It turned out that his mechanic George, who ended up doing a superb job, just disconnected something when he made the first repairs. The cost for parts to fix the fuel gauge was around 300 dollars, all paid for by Franco. I left with a good feeling, knowing that I made the right decision and I was ecstatic about the way Franco and George handled everything.
The bottom line is that buying a car, and especially a used car, is a painful process. The Autoplex not only made that process easier by offering me assurance in the form of warranties and repairs, but also in being so accommodating in getting the job done instantly. Not having to wait a week for the car to be repaired really means a lot. If you are in the same situation and are looking to get the best deal for your money, just go have a look at what they have to offer. If you just communicate your concerns with them I'm sure that they will meet you in the middle and will do their best to sell you the best vehicle that the market has to offer.

When I bought the car he told me I will be covered for 3 month or 3000 mile. But I got a letter that said it is not covered. A month after I bought the car I am having a problem which is suppose to be covered in the preferred warranties. When I talked to him he is saying he is not going to cover anything that is not engine or transmission. I am not happy with the away he talked to me.

When I purchased a vehicle from these guys, I was very unimpressed with their attitude and honesty. They sold me a vehicle that they assured me would pass state inspections, becasue supposedly their "3rd party" inspectors had passed it honestly. I assume that they have an illegitmate deal with their inspectors, who pass every vehicle regardless of quality or safety. They dealt with the whole situation appallingly and only settled a $500 problem with a $200 check. I just want to warn any future purchasers that their prices are nice, but have the car inspected before you buy, and DO NOT Trust them.
