Kristy repaired a doll for me that I presented to my daughter at her bridal shower. The doll had belonged to my daughter's great-grandmother when she was a young girl. Everyone was amazed at how pretty the doll was, I had dressed her in a wedding gown that I made from my wedding dress. I passed around a photo album with pictures before Kristy did her magic and they couldn't believe it was the same doll. I would highly recommend Kristy's work. Thanks again Kristy - you are the BEST!!!!!

I am VERY pleased with the work that Kristy Neal did. If You didn't know where my composition dolls were damaged, you would never be able to tell! Excellent work! She is quite an artist, to say the least! She was a huge help and expert on dolls!

My experience with Treasured Collectibles Doll Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana, (Kristy Neal, Owner), was unsatisfactory in all aspects of the transaction. I found Kristy Neal listed on a reputable Doll Referral site on the internet and after several emails back and forth, I sent my doll to be repaired. She quoted $200 to restore the doll. After three months, I received the doll back with only the head and face repainted (a horrible tan color) and with new red and blue paint marks on the limbs, and on her cloth body. Her body was not touched, and she returned the doll with a large rip in the body unrepaired. When I sent the doll to Kristy, the limbs weren't damaged but needed a touch up of paint to match the newly painted face. Kristy did not stand behind her work, refused to finish the doll and was rude and arrogant. We traded emails and she blamed me for not stating what I wanted done. I relied on her as the expert in what needed to be done to bring the doll back to her original beauty. This was a very expensive mistake to deal with a disreputable doll repair service over the internet without a written contract as to what would be done for the quoted price. I only used her because she was listed on a Doll website that recommends experts to repair dolls. Very disappointing experience. All I can say is the work at Treasured Collectibles is not professional and Dr. Kristy is not a reputable doll restorer. I spent $250 including postage costs back and forth. I was definitely ripped off. I also found others who sent their dolls to Dr. Kristy and experienced the same thing. Customers beware!!!!! Find someone else to repair your dolls. Unfortunately for me, there does not appear to be any recourse other than to warn others to find someone else to repair their dolls.

This person ruined several of my composition Shirley Temple dolls and robbed me for over $700. She refused my requested refund.
I am a veteran antiques dealer specializing in dolls with 26 years experience. I have had numerous dolls restored during this time. I know the difference between good repair and amateurish work. Kristi's work does not reflect that of a professional. I doubt any of the creditionals she claims. What she did to my dolls indicates that she has little to no talent. Personality wise, She was very rude, arrogant, & extremely uncoorperative. Further she was slow, held my dolls hostage for 6 months, I had to beg to get them back. She was overpriced, and I consider it a true misfortune that I ever found her web site and selected her. She made my dolls look like little freaks instead of the adorable dolls they once were.(email for pics!) She totally devalued them. If you want freaky looking clown like dolls then use Kristi, if not - then RUN far from this lady. Truly hideous work! To sum it up, I would say she is a doll terrorist!

Hoping to help prevent more vicitims.

It was difficult to find a doll hospital accepting new patients. I sent photos of the two dolls needing to be restored to several hospitals listed on the Internet. Some did not even respond and the ones that did, responded that they were not accepting new dolls at this time. Kristy at Treasured Collectibles was not only quick to respond but she was extremely pleasant, I felt as though I called an old friend.I sent a Madam Alexander doll from the 1948 Little Women series (Amy) to be cleaned, hair styled, and restrung. This doll was given to me when I was young and as a youth I did not understand the value of what I had been given and unfortunately she was mishandled. When she returned I was shocked!! She was so beautiful I cried. Not having any daughters to pass her to I can now pass her to my granddaughter when she can understand the value of what she has been given. The second doll was a doll my grandmother got when she was ten years old. She passed it to my mother when she was also ten. My mother said that at some point she was dropped. Her poor little body was badly broken and her head and face also cracked, broken and missing some pieces. Her clothes dirty and musty from being wrapped in a blanket and stored in the closet for 50+ years. She made it through several moves, loosing her eyes somewhere along the way. It was my grandmothers dying wish that the doll be restored and that somebody did something with her hair, which was my mothers hair made into a wig and definitely not what a baby doll of that age should have. When she returned I was amazed at the magic Kristy performed! With a new wig and clean clothes she is now ready to take her place in the family. She is so beautiful and looks happy to be home. Kristy kept in touch asking questions about preference, clothing hair style, shoes etc for both dolls until their completion. She assured me that during hurricane Gustav they were safe and would be home soon. I felt as though my dolls were loved. The special care and attention she gave both dolls no other hospital even offered. I have no comparison fee wise, I have never restored a doll before. I would have gladly paid twice as much as I was charged. My only regret is that I did not restore her sooner so we all could have enjoyed her all these years. I take pleasure in knowing that if I had she would not have been restored in such a caring and loving environment as Treasured Collectibles. I would not hesitate to recommend them to all my friends.

Upon finding my mother's 1930s Shirley Temple doll on a closet shelf and, realizing she needed attention and was quite valuable, I was in a dilemma about what to do and where to turn for help. Doctor Kristy responded QUICKLY, sounded very KNOWLEDGEABLE, gave me a REASONABLE quote and instructed me exactly how to pack and ship the doll. While it took several months, Shirley was very well cared for, cleaned and repaired to perfection then returned to me in beautiful condition. I am not a doll expert, so I was nervous about sending her to a stranger and what might happen to my treasured doll. But there was absolutely NO reason for concern!!! I am very thankful for Dr. Kristy's expertise, her gentle "bedside manner" and her reasonable prices.

When one of my grandmothers China dolls was cracked, we called around for a place that could fix it. We settled on Treasured Collectibles mainly because the price we were quoted was a very good one. The work was done professionally and pretty quick. We expected it to take two weeks! I have gone back and bought several doll items from the for holidays/presents since then and I have always been satisfied with my purchases.
